"It appears he captured a prize last month!" Over the past couple months Sinbad had become somewhat of a confidant to Li. Their conversation never become too personal, but Sinbad found himself more privileged to Li's rants than other members of the crew. (please note that the above picture is from a past build) "Why is it that Captain Sulu gets famed as a notorious pirate and I'm left running guard duty for some merchants!" shouted Li. "Captain, we did bring in a prize of our own not that long ago, and a much bigger prize than that little merchant boat Sulu acquired" replied Sinbad. "It's not the prize that matters Sinbad," countered Li. "Hasn't serving as a part of my crew taught you at least that much? It's about the fame. That was something my father never understood." "What do you mean?" asked Sinbad. He thought they had done pretty well for themselves over the past couple months. Though he thought that while serving under Li's father, Cho. The greatest difference he had noticed between from serving under both father and son was that the crew seemed more calloused under Li. Cho had a way of making people want to follow him. Li just made them fear him. "People need to fear my flag" Li said, interrupting Sinbad's thoughts. "If other captains fear me, they won't put up a fight when we attack. They will know it's better to surrender than face the dreaded Captain Fang!" "So what are you going to do?" inquired Sinbad. He was a little worried about the evil glint in Li's eyes. "The nations need to know I'm ruthless. It's time I showed them just how ruthless I can be" was Li's response. "I purchased some information in a tavern the last time we landed that told me where a Corrington expedition is going to be. I want you to take some of the men and make sure they disappear.: "Me sir?" asked Sinbad. "Why me? I have no rank or standing with the men." "Ever since I left my father to rot in that Mardien prison, I've heard murmurs amongst the men" answered Li. "I don't know if I can trust them, but I think I can trust you." Sinbad still hadn't figured out why Li trusted him. He had spoken out against leaving Cho when the choice was made, but neither had he supported it. For now, he wanted to continue to take advantage of Li's trust for he didn't know when it might come in useful. "Take a few men to these coordinates" continued Li. "Make sure the Corries don't survive. I want everyone to know exactly what kind of man Li Fang is!" Sinbad had killed before when they were defended themselves or taking prizes, but never in cold blood before. He wasn't sure he agreed with Li that to be feared one had to be ruthless. He was still thinking over these matters as he a three others from Li's crew waited in the marsh for the Corrington boat they had spied early. The expedition was being led by the unfortunate Captain Stasch. A man already known for meeting misfortune. Sinbad signaled for the attack and he and the others popped out of the swamp. The fight was short. The two soldiers were killed quickly. Captain Stasch, at the first sign of trouble, flung himself over board and made a daring escape. Sinbad did not feel bad that Stasch had gotten away, but failed to report that reflection when he was debriefed by Li.

Flying the black, he came upon a merchant ship who, after seeing his colors, immediately started flying the white and gave over their ship in exchange for their lives. The former crew of "El Polla" was left adrift in the open seas with nothing but one barrel of water in their rowboat. None of them were seen alive again.

Love the colors on your landscape! The brown portion could use a little more variation in my opinion, but overall it's a nice presentation.

You are right, if you make more than 4 freebuilds you can choose which ones are judged. And they don't have to be posted in any order, so you don't have to post the 4 you want judged first and then others, you could post 2 to judge, 1 not judged, and then 2 to judge if you wanted.

Oh, my eyes, they hurt! The color scheme is so intense! But great looking ship.

I asked this back when I was building for AoM. What was decided then (though could certainly be updated now!) is that you can post them all together, but each individual AoM requirement would have to be modular. So if you are doing a Wall Phase 1 and a Barracks Phase 2, they have to be able to be separate. Here's an example: post 1, post 2

Changed the title for you. I love your story! You really drew me into the minds of these troopers. I'm looking forward to reading future stories from you! You builds are also good, but they have a slightly unfinished feel to them. If you don't have enough tiles to cover up the surfaces, then I would suggest adding more junk and clutter around to give it a more finished feel.

I'll be there and I'm looking for someone who might be willing to buy some German Soccer players for me and bring them over If anyone is coming from overseas, I'd be interested in buying 2 of the unopened minifigures off them (preferably 2 players, not the manager).

There's a lot to soak up so no worries! Freebuilds are encouraged to flow with the current place we are at in the timeline, but they don't have to. Plenty of people of done flashback builds (myself included!), just try to avoid telling the future in our builds

Since Brickworld has been mentioned here a few times, does anyone know if a thread has been started like we've had the past couple years for Eurobrick members who will be there?

Wow! It's great to see so much activity! I'm sorry for not being more prompt in getting scores up or updating the index, I've been building during all my spare moments for an upcoming LUG event in Rockford, IL. As of right now the player index is updated, freebuilds are judged or in the process of being judged, and new tags to be awarded have been requested! I think even though the only time we see him is in the cartoons, if you have a really good idea for a build including him we can go ahead an make an exception and allow you to build using him as your character.

Just to follow up on this, I checked the logs and somehow I must not have marked it as an MCRA build so it was logged as a 3rd freebuild. I sent the adjudication form yesterday. Just wanted you to know the automation still seems to be working.

Thank you Maxim! I love our Sea Rats sub-title (not real pirates, they said that themselves)! One small note about Freddy's Row Boat. I drydocked it last month so I wouldn't have to pay extra for having 4 ships in my fleet.

I've got a couple planned to continue my storyline. Hope to have them built and up within a month!

In the first list Fortune's Miskeeper is said to have cpatured 3 ships: "3A pirate Crow’s Feet captured by Fortune’s Miskeeper (SR) (Off Holder’s Rock)". But in the 2nd list Crow's Feet is not among the ships captured. Did we capture it or not?

Will the trade map and values stay the same this month? I want to start planning.

It looks like the MCRA freebuilds are being entered at 5DBs instead of 10DBs. Are the forms registering the MCRAs as a 3rd freebuild instead of the MCRA?
