  1. Welcome to the best team!
  2. Shiver me timbers! Pirates building forts? Whoever heard of such a crazy idea? I thought all pirates wanted to feel the sea under their legs and gold running through their fingers! What's that you say? There's gold to be had in fort building? Well why didn't you say so in the first place! Rules: 1) Build a fort that fits the small property category (16x16 is the general range, though larger is certainly allowed!). 2) Post your entry in the BoBS forum just like you would any other build and then link your entry in this thread. 3) Voting will take place amongst the Sea Rat leaders. The top five forts will have their license paid for by the Sea Rat Faction. First place will also be awarded 25DBs, second place will receive 20DBs, third will receive 15DBs, and forth and fifth will earn 5DBs. All prizes will be paid out by the Sea Rat Faction. 4) The builders of the winning forts must allow the Sea Rat Faction to chose the placement of these forts, but the builder will get to register their builds as freebuilds and the license will be under the builders name allowing them to earn monthly income from it. 5) The contest runs from Aug 1st to Aug 31st Sept 30th. As long as it is still Aug 31st Sept 30th somewhere in the world you can enter. 6) This contest is only open to Sea Rat members.
  3. There is a new Sea Rat Contest! Click the picture to find out more!
  4. Not an issue! It just may take a little bit before we catch all the places it needs to change
  5. I can't find the new rule about the Awesomonium bonus for building on your home planet. Can someone link it for me?
  6. Please transfer 43 credits to EpislonEta
  7. Good catch. I was wondering if I had read the rules too fast. It's up to you how you want to frame your pictures along with your story. Based on that rule, it's perfectly allowed to use the boring use of the piece in the first picture and then the creative use later. Remember, the judges will know which pieces are which so they'll know which piece to look for in each build.
  8. Hmmm, good catch. I've changed the name to be more time period accurate!
  9. It's technically my first for July. I posted one in June, but I forgot to register it till July 1st. I was hoping I had gotten it in before the automated forms marked it as July, but it sounds like I didn't. It's not a big deal since I won't have another freebuild this month. So if both are marked for July I'll still get the same DBs.
  10. Previously: Recruiting at Marco's This Is Not the Wealthy Housing of Rassilon Falling Out with Foxx Cantu's Fort in Rassilon Freddy's Trained Chickens The Viper Jail Break! Cantu's House Even a Pirate Has a Sweet Tooth La Oleon Captain's Cabin Tropical Fruit Decision Lumber Camp Freddy's Big Haul The Golden Dragon The Capture of "El Polla" Swamp Raid Pirate Lagoon (This is being registered as a Large Artisan) Back in Rassilon, the Palm Tree Inn was in high demand. Freddy, still living off the gold he had earned from his big haul, had bought out the largest room they had and was regularly hosting parties. Others who had not been as lucky, paid for the smallest room. The individual in the smallest room was trying to stay out of sight. If any of the other pirates in the motel knew he was there, word would probably reach Li Fang's far sooner than he wanted it to.
  11. Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Vehicle, Land Vehicle, Spaceship, Exploration Last time, in Ender's story: Bike Beats Robots Sunday Afternoon Drive Suess Island Ender moved on to the next island called Tribble Island. Ender didn't know why it was called that, but he continued to find the same red bush everywhere. His sister Valentine had tasked him with bringing a sample back to the ship. Meanwhile, the person Ender had been searching for, Mr. Graver, was busy with his own quest. After his alliance with the Emboians went sour, he turned to piracy and took over the Octan ship he had been stationed on.
  12. Since BEAVeR is still on vacation, I will do my best to answer these questions. But BEAVeR may come back and tweak the answers a little if I'm misunderstanding his intent. Every person using a clue pieces must use it twice. I don't think there are any rules about the piece having to show up in the first picture. As for creativity, the judges will base the points off of the more creative of the uses. So if the piece were a pair of minifigure legs and the builder used them for the top of a bookcase to add curvature and used them on a minifigure, the points would be based on the bookcase use. Pretty sure the piece just has to be visible at least twice in the build, not necessarily in the first picture. Only 1 part per builder. If a team doesn't reach 10 builders then the extra pieces will be publicly revealed.

  14. Your builds are always incredible. You truly are the epitome of Mitgardian builders!
  15. Location: B06 Sorn Tags: Land Vehicle, Exploration Last time, in Ender's story: Bike Beats Robots Sunday Afternoon Drive Ender continued to explore the different islands on Sorn, looking for clues as to Graver's whereabouts. He next visited Suess Island. He pulled up on his trike and started surveying. He didn't see any sign that Graver had been here recently, but he was admiring the pink flora this island was known for. He thought he heard a rustling noise behind him, so he turned around... ... but it must have just been the wind in the trees.
  16. Guys, this isn't the forum for this. This is for rumors. For other discussions, try this topic.
  17. It is up-to-date. Some planets are under both team's control to ensure both teams have enough planet choices. Story-wise it can be explained that there is unrest on the planet, so it doesn't fall fully under either team's control.
  18. If you are a pilot you can certainly do things on the ground! The pilot vs soldier game mechanic is mostly just for story telling purposes.
  19. Any planet is free for building on this contest! What you said is right. Each team has 10 parts they have to use, but also want to keep hidden.
  20. For those of you who want to see more of the dragon, check out this topic
  21. See the previous tales: Wyndor's Saga: Chapter 1 -What Has Past- Chapter 2 -What Has Past- Chapter 3 The Green Dragon Inn Bustle at Treacleheim At the Gates of Budd-apest Dragon-Forged Blade in Treacleheim Charlemagne's Residence Dragon Taming For over a year the Algus have menaced the north. After many hard fought battles, Mitgardians had figured out that dragon forged blades as well as burning oil were some of the only items that could slay this formidable race. Even armed with these weapons, Mitgardians found themselves hard pressed by the relentless attacks and seemingly endless armies of the Algus. The fact that they could be killed dispelled the myth that the Algus were a race of undead warriors coming to bring retribution for some past grievance but it still brought Mitgardia no closer to the truth of the Algus’s intent. A council was called and riders were sent from Vaholl instructing the cities and villages of Mitgardia in how best to unite against the threat facing them. Fortresses were also being constructed throughout the clan-lands to act as a wall of defense against the pressing forces of the Algus. These fortresses were manned with a special order of soldiers called the Kylma Katsella (which translated means Cold Watch). The Kylma Katsella would be Mitgardia’s, and in truth, all of Historica’s first line of defense against this threat from the north. Every city across Mitgardia volunteered soldiers to help found this special order and many traveling knights took up the Kylma Katsella’s mantle freely out of a desire to serve a great purpose. As the Kylma Katsella’s fortresses were being built, traders were bringing in as many barrels of Kaliphlinian Oil as they could come by to use in the battles against their foe. The dwarves were also busy, after suffering the shame of losing in their quest into Avalonia they found solace in working with dragon melted metals to forge more blades for the Kylma Katsella. It was still a mystery as to why the Algus were attacking Mitgardia. No one had been able to figure out what they wanted, and all attempts at reasoning with them led to the death of the messengers. Talks had begun of building a wall across the entire northern part of Mitgardia, but there was doubt this gigantic project could even be begun let alone finished before the Algus overran the north. Near Dalig Ulv, mayor Pjeter had ordered the construction of a castle for the use of the Kylma Katsella. They had finished it not more than a week earlier and already Algus rangers had been spotted from the ramparts. Pjeter and a group of men and women joined the forces already at the castle to help turn back the oncoming Algus army. “What are our odds?” asked Mattimeo. “With only one dragon-forged blade, not good” answered Pjeter. “How far away are the traders carrying Kaliphlinian Oil that we were told was coming?” asked Liam. “Still a day’s ride away” replied Pjeter. “Then there’s only one thing to do” said Constance. “We must hold them off until the oil can get here. Then we can equip the men with the oil and fire to finally kill these fiends.” “What you’re suggesting means certain death for many of our number” stated Pjeter, but the resignation in his voice showed he had already come to the same conclusion. When no one else offered a suggestion he said, “Prepare the men. The Algus will attack at dawn. We must hold them off for a day, whatever the cost.” With a grim determination the Kylma Katsella and the men of Dalig Ulv prepared for battle. Archers lined the walls preparing to pepper the Algus with arrows. These arrows, not yet tipped with flaming oil, would do no lasting harm to the Algus, but they would slow down their advance a little. Constance, armed with the sole dragon-forged blade, stood ready with the first wave of soldiers while Mattimeo and Liam prepared the second and third waves. As the sun crested the hills, the Algus advanced on the fortress. Constance and the rest of the men ran to meet the Algus charge. Pjeter and Rothgar had both volunteered to be in the first wave. They both felt it was their duty to show they were willing to do for their people what they were asking their men to do… to die. They fought for what seemed like hours but the sun showed it to be only minutes. Constance looked around her, knowing it was only a matter of time before the first of their men fell. From within the fort, a voice could be heard calling, “Help is coming!” Constance thought it sounded like Valanice’s voice, but that couldn’t be right. She and Wyndor were off in Kaliphlin right now looking for dragons. All of a sudden, the archers heard and felt a THWUMP! on the roof. The men on the battle field looked around to see a pair of giant leathery wings before they heard the ROAR! coming from the beast’s mouth. Wyndor had arrived just in time. The battle was made short work of after that. Wyndor’s dragon spewed flame left and right and gobbled up any Algus who tried to run away. As the mayhem settled and the wounded were brought inside the fort the reality of the situation began to sink in. They had won! They had beat back the Algus this time! Wyndor got down off the dragon and was met with cheers and hearty slaps on the back. But not everything was so bright and cheery. While Wyndor had arrived in time to prevent vast casualties, there was still one person who had suffered mortal injury during the fight. Wyndor and his friends gathered around Pjeter as his strength faded away. “No Pjeter, you can’t go!” cried Wyndor. “I should have flown faster, I should have gotten here sooner!” “There was no way for you to know,” answered Pjeter. “Of all the ways for me to go, this is the way I would have it. Dying in the service of the people under my care. Wyndor, you must be mayor after I’m gone. I’m sure the counsel will agree with my decision.” “Yes, Pjeter” Wyndor said with a sob. “I will take your place.” And with that, Pjeter breathed his last and closed his eyes with a smile.
  22. The rough gist is that each team has 10 unique pieces to use as seed parts. You need to solve the mini-kit puzzle by having all the seed parts and then trying to put them together into the correct model. As the opposite team posts entries, you will have a chance to guess which seed part they used in their build. Once you know all 62 pieces, or at least what you think they are, then it's time to guess what the mini-kit, mini-model is!
  23. I knew I was forgetting something! I added it.
