  1. Wow! Great details in the build, description of the mining process, and the story!
  2. Beautiful minifig combos! Your amphitheater has the perfect curve to it also!
  3. Well, I'm going to be re-using that same idea for the LOTR contest whenever I can get around to building it bigger. Yes, but my wife didn't. So that decided it for me That's high praise! Thank you!
  4. Amazing! I love the color choices you've made. Your characters are great too!
  5. Oh, my, goodness! This is gorgeous! I love the texture of the bridge and your story is great! Can't wait to see more!
  6. I really like your "shrine"! The micro figs around the minifig are both cool and creepy at the same time.
  7. Thank you for all your detailed feedback! I've made some changes, hopefully they'll help with some of the problems you listed. Thanks guys! I didn't want to use the same old round studs for the water. But now I've made some changes to combine the wedge plate look and the studs look. Hopefully it'll improve the look. And I've added a better base and improved the ground on the forest. I hope you like all the changes. Thank you! Yes, the every present grin can be difficult to explain. But that's Lego for you Those seem to be the favorites! I've changed the background now. Let me know what you think! Thanks Jorrith!
  8. As far as I know the rule about who can build on which planets is still being discussed and is not being enforced while it is in question.
  9. My advice to you is let the bad feelings go. Bricks can be rebuilt. Wives take a lot longer, and they are worth far more.
  10. My last entry in SK and I's collab: Traveling Partners
  11. See the previous parts of the story: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 After the incident in Teridyan, Wyndor and Glorfindel headed back towards Valholl. They walked through the hospitable landscape of Mitgardia. They walked past refreshing rivers. They helped those they found that could not help themselves. They faced some fearsome beasts... and handled them each in his own way. And soon found themselves nearing Valholl. Thank you to SK for starting this collab. It's been a lot of fun. I look forward to the conclusion! I wanted to try something a little different for this post. The smaller builds gave me some freedom to try some different ideas. This was also my first attempt at using colored backgrounds. Let me know what you think. Edit: I've listened to the feedback and made some changes and took some new pictures. The old pictures are in the spoiler.
  12. That large tree is amazing! Any way to get a "how-to-build" pic?
  13. Great use of bright colors! I think this captures the feel of Kaliphlin very well. I really like your snot floor too. Beautiful all around!
  14. My intention was for the tower to house the staircase leading between the 2 floors. I thought about windows, but with the size of the tower, the limitations of Lego's window piece selection to fit a 2x1 base, and the fact that sweeping snow off of a spiral staircase meant that I left them off. Thanks for the feedback! Thank you very much Sir Gareth! I'm glad you like them! Thank you for your detailed feedback. Piece limitation is becoming less and less of a problem. Though, the bigger I build the more often it comes up I'm glad you like the rockwork! I think you're the first to mention it!
  15. Well here is a little teaser of something I have coming soon:
  16. Trust me, I don't think there will be any complaints, as long as you are posting builds
  17. Yeah! Yellow Supremacists all the way!
  18. Great build! I like your take on Kaliphlinian style.
  19. Thanks Vlad!
  20. I love that map room! The rest of the builds are good too, but that room is an idea I may have to borrow some time!
  21. Cool! It's simple, but has a very great nostalgic appeal as it reminds me of castles I used to create with my brothers way back in the day.
  22. I really like that bed design. Way to think outside the box!
  23. Thank you! This was my first attempt at the thatched roof look. I'm glad you like it. As for the shutters, I guess I need to experiment with that some more. I've only ever tried it once and wasn't happy with it. I'm glad someone likes it Glad you like the curtains! I wanted to incorporate the guild colors somehow and that was a convenient way. Thanks for the feedback! Thanks! It was a last minute inclusion. I needed something to make that back wall not look so bare. I thought about windows, but I didn't like how they stuck out without any padding on the sides of the window frames. Really, it was a lack of plates more than bricks that sunk me. Plates are definitely going to be in my next Bricklink order I'm glad you like the tree! I'm glad you like it all! Thanks, always room for improvement, but that's all of us right? Thank you for your vote of confidence That's high praise coming from you! Thanks vitreolum! I'm glad you like the details! Thank you for your feedback. It is certainly a unique tree, I agree with you on that. I personally like the tree (hence why I included it) but I have no problem that you don't. I keep trying to experiement with different tree designs since I've never liked Lego's. Some of my ideas work, some of them don't. My feelings exactly on the tower. As for the tree, it does look a little more swampy, that's true. And thank you for your feedback. I'll keep working on this particular tree design and try to improve it so that everyone likes it Yes, I am trying to divide my time evenly. The budget for Legos is also having to be divided though and that's hard. Ithorians and Duros just don't fit in GoH.
  24. Another AoM build I needed to finished before I could work on the next part of my collab with SK: House Phase III:
