  1. I know the deadline for this is tomorrow right? Is it okay that I've just been editing my previous post with all my builds?
  2. Gotta say, I love the ducks.
  3. I have the same question. How? This is amazing all around. Building perfection.
  4. Yeah, I'm not too happy about $4, but it's not a deal killer for me because I usually only get a few. But it does make me hope that there is something extra (besides a gamecode) that qualifies the extra dollar.
  5. Maybe add some texture such as tiles or extra studs, or maybe add a slope.
  6. This is such a great idea for a Phase II! I love it! Could we have some more pictures please?
  7. I wanted it to look like a smaller waterfall so I purposefully tried to not have too much action at the top of it. But thanks for the suggestion!
  8. Thanks for the suggestion HammerBro. However, that doesn't look like sideways brick build. I'm I looking at the wrong picture or were you giving an example of other rock technique? Those are some good suggestions. Thank you!
  9. Just saw from a catalogue over on Brick Heroes that series 12 is coming at the end of this year and it is confirmed that both it and the Simpsons minifigs will be $4 a pop. Too bad.
  10. Oh my goodness! Stop giving people heart attacks for no good reason!
  11. A great build all around. My favorite part is the bridge. I love the SNOT work underneath!
  12. I really like this. Great job on the angles!
  13. For a first go at it, this is an incredible build on many accounts! Great use of foliage and I love the river! Do watch out to make sure all your bricks are connected all the way. On your first picture part of the bridge isn't connected
  14. So how do the polybags fit in the rules for minifigure-per-part ratio? Seems like they break all the rules...
  15. Thanks everyone! I thought about it, and maybe I should have done it anyway. I do think the holes gave it a good organic feel. There are woodpeckers in Mitgardia you know, and the feared burrowing worm... Yes, I was less than pleased with the block hinges, unfortunately I don't have a lot of plate hinges. I'll have to acquire some more soon.
  16. I actually ran out of 1x1 cylinders. I thought I had a lot more and was planning on all my tree trunks being built out of them. I was quite surprised when I found out I had only enough for a few trees Guess I know what will be in my next bricklink order. I went back and forth between adding random pieces and trying to do it thoughtfully. I guess the mixed result showed neither method very well Thanks! I was definitely more focused on the water and less on the foliage. That's a good suggestion. It also reminds me that I need to be thinking about the whole build at once, not just one aspect of it which is often my downfall.
  17. Thanks everyone! Any suggestions for improving the sideways rock building for next time?
  18. Everything about this is amazing, but I especially love your base. It reminds me of the baseplate from the Old West mine hideout set.
  19. Here are some AoM build I did in prep for HoM Stables Phase I Barracks Phase I Archery Phase I
  20. Stables Phase I Barracks Phase I Archery Phase I
  21. (This is set after A Rude Awakening but well before A Timely Friend, and directly after Liam's Shop, Upward Trek, and Misty Fight) “Pull back, breathe, hit the tree.” said Liam. “How can I miss it, it’s right in front of me?” answered Wyndor. “Prove it.” Said Liam. Wyndor pulled back the bow, and let the arrow fly… and missed. “Try again. Pull back, breathe, hit the tree.” Liam said again, nonplused.
  22. (This is set after A Rude Awakening but well before A Timely Friend, and directly after Liam's Shop and Upward Trek) “Why do I have to train with a club?” shouted Wyndor. “You cannot know how best to block a weapon, until after you first know how to wield the weapon.” answered Liam. “Ok, I can accept that, but why do I have to do it while being soaking wet?” replied Wyndor. Surprisingly Liam wasn’t wet at all. “You aren’t dodging the water drops. If you did, you wouldn’t be wet.”
  23. (This is set after A Rude Awakening but well before A Timely Friend, and directly after Liam's Shop) “In case you didn’t know Liam, I already know how to ride a horse.” said Wyndor with a huff. “If you’re going to train with me then you have to do things my way, and that means riding a horse right now.” replied Liam. “Just to remind you, I never asked to be trained by you.” yelled back Wyndor. “Yet,” answered Liam, “still you follow me and my directions.” OoC: This is my first attempt at sideways rocks. Let me know what you think.
  24. Oh yes, this made me laugh!
