I personally think you should add something to the roof, but that's about it.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
MKJoshA replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Winter is coming... -
I really like the story and the build overall. I would work on your photgraphy by adding a backdrop (using poster board works really well) and having a white sheet between your light source and your build. Right now it looks a little washed out by flash.

That makes me want to watch my back and take a torch with me every time I walk past an alley... -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Love the reference! True that! I'm in Chicago and it's been super bitter this winter. -
Wow. This is definitly one of your best builds yet! It has a very SW feel, great angles, it's a street scene instead of the normal space ship/station (which is great!), and your photography is improving greatly!

Drooling a lot here. I wish I had the money to buy this set. Thanks for letting me see it vicariously through you!

I really like the top of your tree. Palm branches don't normally work for Mitgardian trees, though there are some exceptions and I think your method works well. I don't think I've ever seen it used before.

Guilty of being pirates by your own admission! -

Just send all your boats to Mitgardia Hammerhand! Help us destroy the Kaliphlin navy that will soon be trying to invade our waters! -
[SoNE free build] "A coward's attack"
MKJoshA replied to Nom Carver's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Very nice! Forced perspective is becoming quiet popular here in SoNE. You've pulled it off very well! I also really like your cannon. Great details! -

Well, I with Kabel, I don't think we should claim territories. Just build cities and add dots. As for the map, I'm fine if it gets assigned to one person or if it's a team. I'll just leave my name out there as a willing participant. -

I'd also be willing to help with the map if needed. If you have a large version of the original Ecclesiastes that'd help a lot. Maybe Gunman and I could tagteam it? -
Oh. My. Goodness. These are amazing!

I guess I'm in the minority. I will always mourn the loss of the EU. Sure, there were some real stinkers in the book line, but I've always thought of Jacen and Jaina as the true continuation of SW. I'll be sad to see it get replaced by Disney's 7, 8 and 9.

Yes, very nice burnt feel to the tower.

AoM Archery Phase 1 - Hunting the fearsome swamp chicken
MKJoshA replied to nivremis's topic in Guilds of Historica
My thoughts exactly! -
I appreciate all this feedback. It gives me good ideas for future builds!
-
Well, at least for me, I feel like I expended all my Kaliphlin ability in this one build. Not sure if I could keep building MOC after MOC here. However, this one was a lot of fun to work on!
-
It's great to see it all together!

Well, all of them use a 4l bar through the middle of a round brick. The ones on the table are the regular round 1x1 bricks and the ones in the box are the tapered nose-cone 1x1 round bricks.

I really like those windows, what a great idea! I have plenty of those "backrest" pieces so I'll have to try using it next time. Thanks kabel!

I love the orange building!

@Alfadas: No problem! Weapons stores are pretty common in medival settings so it's not an issue to have many of them in AoM. @soccerkid: Thanks for the suggestions. I particularly like the telescope version. However, I'm not sure if those would work with a store setting.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Lost Missions
MKJoshA replied to commanderneyo's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yes, yes, yes, and YES! I know Clone Wars has gotten a lot of backlash for being sub-par, but I for one really enjoyed the majority of the episodes. Yes, there were some real duds, but I wouldn't throw the whole series out just because of those. Can't wait to see these last few episodes!
