  1. I guess 2 years is as much as you can expect a line like this to get. There have been quite a few of these relatively short-lived action/adventure themes like this, like Exo Force, Aquaraiders, Alpha Team, or Agents. I guess you could see Atlantis as a follow-up to this kind of theme. Hmm, isn't there a pattern in recent action themes? 2008: Third and last year of Exo Force, first year of Agents. 2009: Second and last year of Agents, first year of Power Miners. 2010: Second and last year of Power Miners, first year of Atlantis.
  2. The brick-built alien head is great!
  3. Nicely photgraphed (really shows all the printing imperfections )...

    MOC: Classic Racer

I already came across this little gem on Brickshelf this morning. I really like that you've managed to include so much functionality in a minifig scale vehicle and still maintain this little red racer's good looks. And really nicely photographed as well. Look for a blog on Classic-Town.net this evening (in Europe at least )
  5. I've seen that one before... but this old fire engine is even better than the trucks in the opening post. I like the more detailed look of it. I really was expecting TLG to include something like this in the 10197 Fire Brigade set. The one actually included in the set is a little too bulky for my taste (but still a nice model).
  6. Blogged on Classic-Town.net
  7. I still don't 'like' the idea of Lego releasing 'collectibles' - complete with rarity of certain figures and opaque packaging - and wonder if it won't hurt or at least change Lego's brand image in any way. But on the other hand, this is marketed as something completely different from their regular themes. We'll see...

    MOC: Night-Club

I like your classic building style. The limo and the sports car are great classic town designs. The building doesn't look very night club-like from the outside though.
  9. This is another great scene. The rocks, the stairs leading up, but most importantly, the fort itself are great. The color scheme and architectural details are really well done. Nice job!
  10. Those surely aren't sets officially released by Lego. They look like fan creations.
  11. Those figs are spot on! And using only original minifig pieces. Nice job.
  12. Nice oldies... the red one is my favorite. The others are really nice too, although the yellow is a bit too... well, yellow, and I have a feeling the front axle on the flat-nose truck could be moved one stud forward.
  13. Happy B-day Imperial Soldier's Mafia organizer
  14. Indeed, the special molds are part of the collectors' value of the Collectible Minifigs. But you never know of course... Agreed, if they're not going to be one of the super-common figs in series 2, which I strongly doubt they'll be, I'm guessing $12 will be a conservative estimate.
  15. The 'high' pilot is wearing glasses (frameless, similar to one of the firemen in the new firestation), but is that allowed for pilots?
  16. I bet that Greek soldier is going to be expensive on Bricklink. And indeed... looks like they're really expecting this to be a huge success considering the amount of new molds. It of course adds to the "collectors' value" that these molds are going to be used exclusively for these sets, so it's also a necessity.
  17. This is a great truck, that I have yet to pick up somewhere. And a really informative and entertaining review (the cartoon at the end is funny).
  18. Welcome to EB The Eye. It's indeed a tough choice with all those wonderful exclusives TLG offers at the moment.
  19. I liked the first version, but the second one looks even better, especially the roof.
  20. Looks good this way Jameson. I like how you've managed to place the black tiles to almost exactly match the shape of the roof on the sides of the building. Nice work!
  21. Welcome to EB!
  22. This is an awesome MOC. I really like how you've managed to keep the character of MMV for the building's exterior. The interior has some really nice elements as well, like the jukebox, the foosball table, and the bar stools. Excellent job!
  23. A great port scene (the setup reminds me a lot of SlyOwl's port) with lots of action going on everywhere. The soldier's head just peeping above the fort's wall is a neat little detail
  24. Welcome to Eurobricks
