  1. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  2. Indeed, I've been browsing a bit and things do seem faster...
  3. I was browsing the 2010 catalog the other day and indeed saw this 'Basic' set which features a new torso and a new female face. I hope these soon show up in City sets.
  4. Didn't you showcase these ones on Eurobricks yet? Rest of the post deleted by request
  5. Looking good Pep! I'd say TLG should have a go at them, but then again, they probably can't sit down with the skirts...
  6. Agreed on the flick-fire nipples, but other than that, a nice cube dude, dude.

    MOC: Fork lift

Hehe, nice fork and a nice forklift (although I don't like those unsecured car doors).
  8. There's an empty 'frame' below the two remaining questions that probably needs to be removed to get the poll working again. Voting works again! I have the exact same experience. Takes off the 'exclusiveness' in a way. It may have been better to release one series per year and have them run for a year or at least actively for half a year, allowing another few months for trading until the next wave arrives. I was thinking... could the absence of pirates and imperial soldiers be a sign of a planned return of pirates in 2011?
  9. Have a happy B-day tomorrow Ras!
  10. This Brickshelf gallery has pretty good shots of the 'interior'.
  11. Yes, and yes. Today will be the third day and tomorrow is the last (14-17 Feb.). Apparently, last year and exclusive (MMV?) was introduced on a later day. It's believed that the TRU City Exclusive (8404) will still be shown and maybe the City House (8403). Furthermore, the Collectible Minifigures (series 1 and 2) may still be revealed.
  12. The body of the truck driver seems to be a 2 x 2 dome piece with one center stud. Is it known whether that's a yellow construction helmet he's wearing? That would drive prices down quite a bit.
  13. Geweldig! Great and very original idea Mahjqa and a really neat way of presentation. The movement of the wings looks very natural.
  14. I also think piece-intensiveness is the main reason these aren't released yet. Plus standalone they don't look very realistic, which may be less of an issue on a Duplo layout, where the biggest fun is watching the train emerge from the tunnel. Come to think of it... this may be a lot of fun on a Lego layout as well.
  15. Same problem here... mime and Disco Stu are winners. In general I'd like figs that I could easily integrate in a layout. I'm less enthusiastic about the 'standalone' figs, like the Greek, pharaoh, robot, which seem to be many people's favorites, and on the figs that are too generic, like the diver and the American cop.
  16. Great little port scene DC! Instantly recognizable because you used your signature 1 x 1 round plates (you need a 1 x 1 round tag ). What I like most are the excellent color combinations you picked for the buildings. The roofs for the two white buildings on the sides really contrast well with the white and the different shades of green on one of buildings in the middle mix really well with the brown. And, although I don't like 'tubes' (the underside of bricks and plates) up, it certainly gives a nice effect the way you used those 1 x 8 tiles as a roof.
  17. Nice idea to make a market-type scene instead of a building. I like all the scenes and details you managed put on such a small footprint thanks to the clever diagonal placing of the stand.
  18. One of the - if not the - best entry for the CB I've seen so far. I really like what you managed to achieve on a 16 x 16 base. The exterior has a very tasteful color combination and the stone detailing is really well done. The interior is great as well: the book shelves, the other furniture, ... now get going on a second floor and don't forget the attic
  19. Indeed the front looks much more balanced than the back. The pictures of the back I've seen so far made it look like a bit of a mess...
  20. Nice scene NewRight. I like the little building. The stone pattern and the colors for the roof are great. Furthermore, I really like the pointy rocks in front of the island. You could have done steps in the rock on the right (to get to the little boat).

    MOC Post Office

Nice classic-looking town buildings. It just doesn't look like a post-office a lot yet. But I guess that's a matter of building an interior. But it certainly has the potential to be a nice small-town post office.
  22. Nice review! From the Creator line I mainly buy the houses because they go well with City sets. However, I bought the previous two versions of this one (yellow and green) on discount for parts. This looks like a nice parts pack again and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out when these go on clearance again. That's Ricky Racoon (my Fabuland alter ego).
  23. The interior is better than much of the 1980s Castle sets... I just don't really like these towers with merely a throne in them (I know, I know, Lego is made for kids... ).
  24. The stuff we discuss on Eurobricks usually isn't available for another 6 months. And this is no exception... June and September (or was it October?) for series 1 and 2, respectively. Info should be in this thread somewhere...
  25. You're blogged on Classic-Town.net...
