  1. They probably got missed in the moderation process (no clue how this exactly works). You could try uploading again, which will probably put them in the queue for moderation again.
  2. There's a thing called economies of scale you might overlook. I trust TLG to make sound business decisions. Not everyone will be happy with those decisions (I'd prefer my Lego to be free ideally) but that's how markets function. Only one thing you can do: vote with your feet. I certainly am not going to do that, because I enjoy my Lego, even at 'European prices'. But - imho - this thread shouldn't be about pricing differences between markets, but about the Grand Emporium set itself.
  3. Thanks for sharing this very informative and detailed tutorial.
  4. I found this picture of - what appears to be - the Vintage Minifigure Collection Volume 5 on Brickshelf. Added by WhiteFang This is the first I hear, let alone see, about this. The figs in this obviously look great. But: is it real, or did I fall for a cleverly done fake? edit: The filename of the picture is 'cologne_22-02.2010.jpg', which suggests it can be found in the Lego Store in Cologne. Added by WhiteFang Thanks to grogall, for finding the LEGO Cache image, and this set is now known as 4585532.
  5. I seem to know that by now Sophisticated people do... Indeed! 'New Posts' doesn't always act in a way I'd want it to. Plus as you've said Active Topics does show a complete reverse chronological topic list (irrespective of whether you've read it or not, so that topic you 'meant to respond to that later' doesn't disappear).
  6. How do you browse Eurobricks? Do you go to the forum index and click on the fora you're interested in to see if there are new posts or do you actively use the 'New Posts' or 'Active Topics' option? Personally, I always use the 'Active Topics' option as it provides a nice (reverse) chronological list of topics with recent activity. I'm always interested to see what's being posted across Eurobricks and I want to make sure I don't miss out on anything.
  7. I asked because I have quite a few of those (1989 sets) and I never recall a 'hard' cutlass... so it might be confined certain markets.

    MOC: Curling

This is great. Everything - the colors for the ice, the poses of the figs, the 'stone' - is spot-on and the photography is excellent. Look out for a Classic-Town.net blog tonight...
  9. I am really amazed at what you managed to do with just 16 x 16 studs. It really turned out to be one busy and lively tavern. And the roof technique is really nice.
  10. Agreed, Holodoc pretty much sums up my views. Unfortunately I don't own any monorail. Hopefully TLG comes up with a new City monorail/tram that fits the current scale of City sets soon.
  11. You're right, the deserters will surely discuss their unpatriotic actions at night, so that'll be the time to keep our eyes and ears open. I'm still recovering from the bullet wounds I sustained at Willow's Creek, so I need my rest at night. Besides, with that leg wound, I wouldn't be swift enough to go unnoticed.
  12. Fits right in with the rest. Simple, effective, colorful.
  13. Any idea when / where the 'hard' cutlasses were used in sets?
  14. 'Cute' is the word indeed Judging by it's supply, business is good. Could do with a bit more milk in the back...
  15. Nice. Thanks for doing this.
  16. Still thinking of breakfast? It's well past noon. Is anyone actually inclined to vote today without any evidence as to who the deserters or the murderer might be? Didn't anyone notice anything suspicious or out-of-the-ordinary while having breakfast?
  17. I'm not really the blood and gore type, but I definitely appreciate the backdrop (clever use of strings) and of course the legs for the 'kick'.
  18. Nice scene on such a small footprint. ImperialScouts sure had a lot less trouble in convincing people to sign up for his 42nd blue coat regiment
  19. That's silly indeed. And a white rabbit is always a wacky sign. Anyway: great little scenes.
  20. Did you try to delete cookies for Eurobricks yet? No specific reason to expect that to work, but you never know.
  21. Great. I really like secret hide-outs...
  22. No problems here (WinXP Pro and Firefox 3.5.8).
  23. Is it known whether these are stickers or printed bricks yet?
  24. Agreed, it's all about multiples of 8
  25. So, did you notice any of your privates acting suspicious? Our sergeant is right, let's not jump to conclusions that it was one of the 42nd who killed that poor private. However, I must say, I am not against an inspection of our bayonets and swords at all. Us honorable soldiers surely have nothing to hide.
