I don't own any, but considering they're no longer produced... You press down on the head No idea, but you don't go around flashing for criminals all night, now do you?
-
I'd have them mail the decals.

The double columns on the ground floors indeed don't look quite right, and I think a side-by-side configuration would look best with one entirely mirrored. The doors in the back would also look better that way, and one of the stores' windows wouldn't be blocked. I think stacking them makes the building look too high for it's width. Overall, you need four more, so you can build two corners with four floors each and a straight middle section (so, it'll be 'Go Svelte, go' for me).

Now who's missing a helmet?

Pvt. Perot, you did indeed mention why you didn't vote. I'm sorry, that slipped my mind. As to the Provost Guards, I don't know, but as I said before, our information points to Ian Des having - at most - a clean knife. This could mean he's an asset to the honored side of this regiment. Pvt. Reutal has been found to carry a blood-stained rag along with his knife. I think the most compelling evidence against Pvt. Reutal can be found in yesterday's votes. If he's an honored soldier, the deserters wouldn't have had a problem tipping the vote against him at the last moment and he would have been convicted. The other possibility, that it were the honored soldiers that didn't vote, and that I - maybe with one or two other honored soldiers - was voting with a bunch of deserters against an honored Pvt. Reutal, seems hard to believe. If we find Pvt. Reutal to be a deserter, the voting record of day 3 will be most helpful in identifying deserters in the coming days.
-
Sounds an awful lot like the conclusion some of us drew last night. Like Pvt. Yellman said, we win in either case. If he's a deserter, we can sleep quietly at night, if not we know Pvt. Perot is crazy and a threat to the regiment. Just one thing that I don't understand: Pvt. Perot, with your knowledge, why didn't you vote against Pvt. Reutal yesterday? We could've really used the votes...

Now I can't help but notice the evil in his eyes every time I look at it. Black Svelvet

What is this piece of evidence you are talking about? That he apparently has the ability to do his job by going out at night and killing deserting scum? If I would be a loyal provost guard, I would indeed not make this public, because it could easily make him look suspicious. So, in my view, you did the right thing not coming forward with this, but now that you have come forward, I'm not so sure what that says about your allegiance to this regiment.

This whole thread is out of control again, like at the time the 'truck stop' was announced as being the TRU Exclusive. While I believe the confirmations about 8404 being a public transportation center this time, I just think you guys are making too much of a fuss about it and, as Svelte pointed out, there's only so much you can expect in a retail set. I'm just going to wait for the first grainy pictures.

Sorry, I may be missing something. This is based on...? The murderer with a sword theory?

I think the point is that even when one of the most respected EB members indicates that the quality of the minifigs is up to standards, a discussion about 'cheap Chinese plastic' tends to erupt in this thread. Many EB threads over the past months have evolved into discussions on ABS quality, even though 'Quality issues' have their own thread in the 'General' forum. These discussions make many threads annoying to read. The same goes for US vs. European prices. Sure, it's an issue, but it shouldn't 'pollute' every other thread.

Great little MOC. The exterior of the building is really nice, especially the angled part. The dentist and his tools definitely look frightening.

I'm a bit of a purist and tend to view a torso or leg assembly as one piece that shouldn't be modified. Although I could see my opinion on this evolve in the future.

The new information only points to a yellow/gold epaulet wearing soldier who prevented someone from going out at night. By no means does this mean he's a killer or a deserter. I have no evidence to suggest that, I was just saying that this is an equally likely explanation based on what we have so far. But then again, it would be very naive of Pvt. Perot, if he really was the killer, to say he was blocked in a night without a killing. But you never know. Also, I'm still waiting for the Sergeant to reveal the person he found carrying a knife last night.

Am I the only one who finds it suspicious that fingers are quickly being pointed at Provost Guard Ian Des this morning and that all finger-pointing is done by privates that refrained from voting yesterday? Seems like someone is trying to shift attention from the direction that things were going yesterday. I was expected to hear some confirmation or rejection of the accusations that were made by Pvt. Yellman and his informant against Sergeant Hempill and Pvt. Reutal yesterday. And let's not rule out the possibility that the supposedly yellow/gold epauleted soldier was actually trying to prevent Pvt. Perot from going out at night to do something detrimental to the honorable part of this regiment. I mean, after all, no murder was committed tonight and Pvt. Perot is wearing a mustache.

I just hope this is the introduction of a 3-long/wide bar alongside the 4-long. Could be useful for making some minifig tools. As to the quality issue: glad to hear that debate finally settled. Dutch Ambassador Aliencat had also been promised by TLG these would be up to standard and I sure am happy to have it confirmed by CopMike now.

The mustached man is our supposed killer. This need not be the one who played tie-up games with Pvt. Perot. Not trying to defend our provost guard, because they seem to be unable to effectively help us over the past days, just pointing out a perhaps too hasty conclusion.
-
I tightened the ties on my own tent, but Pvt. Shadón lured me out by sticking spicy sausages through the gaps this morning.
-
Good morning everyone. Michel, pass those spicy sausages please while they're hot. It's a relief to hear than none of us was killed last night. I'm sure we have one of our honorable soldiers to thank for that. I really think we missed our chance at arriving at an informed conviction yesterday by wasting much of the afternoon. Then when people started finally voting, many already went to bed. Is there anyone who can - after last night - shed some light on the debate that was unfolding yesterday?

Irina doesn't seem to be too happy to be 'Down Under', the rest of 'em look like they'll enjoy their new home.

Don't forget official sets with a good parts selection on clearance. But other than that I think most use Bricklink. For some parts in 'special'/rare colors, PaB (Lego.com) is actually a good option (a certain element in any color typically has roughly the same price), but the selection is limited.

10211 Grand Emporium arrived yesterday. Ground floor is finished and I can't agree with Svelte's review more: it's brilliant. Also, I bought 3180 (the City tanker truck) a few days a go: all the bright classic town colors are great.

Really a nicely proportioned Creator set. The tires are perfect for the model and the use of a wheel holder as a foot rest is simple but very effective. Not to mention the use of those nozzle pieces as steering. Thanks for the review Bricknave.
