  1. In the retailer catalog uploaded by Gerjan Lennips, tiny pics appear of the three Duplo releases as well: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gerjanlennips...920986/sizes/l/ (bottom row, squit people, squint).
  2. This was about what I was going to say... You should indeed separate the cabin from the rest of the truck somehow and I think a half- or whole-stud (like in the official Lego Garbage Truck) distance would work best in this case.

Gerjan Lennips has posted the pics from the retailer catalog in higher resolution now (so still 'prelim/confidential'!). Nothing new City-wise, just better pics for some sets.
  4. Nice MOC. Architecturally rather simple, but very nicely captured in Lego. The occasional gray brick makes it look pretty realistic.
  5. Great! Thanks for the higher-res pictures.
  6. Amazing creation TinyPiesRUs! I really like the vibrant scene and all the architectural details on the main building ('How Bazaar' ). And you've really managed to create some minifigs suitable for the themes out of stuff from other themes.
  7. Merry Christmas... I didn't know you had to wrap your own presents
  8. Yup... I'm one happy camper... especially considering the (upside-down) hint CopMike gave in this thread.

Do you have more information on these triple minifig packs? (I don't remember it being brought up in this thread yet)

It indeed looks a lot like a Volvo truck. They sure made this one a Scandinavian classic. Btw: TLG did release a long-nose truck (7686 Helicopter transporter) in 2009
  11. None of the figs are from any currently running theme, it's part of the 'uniqueness', I guess.
  12. It's 3862 in this scan (squint, squint, ...).
  13. There surely are lots of things happening in this scene. The turkey roasting above the volcano is pretty hilarious. It's clear that you used the 'underwater' base plates to represent areas under the waterline, it's just a pity that there isn't a really good way to represent the waterline. Right now it's not really clear where water ends and land begins. Anyway: really nicely crowded scene.
  14. Those molded heads keep freaking me out. I just can't get around they're really Lego. That little alien is über-cute though.
  15. From the grainy pictures this already looks much better. I'm holding back final judgment until I see some higher-res pictures, but I think TLG might have a big seller here among (at least) kids.
  16. Complaining?! Who'd think about complaining about gifts? Complaining should result in a redraw for that spot. 3rd prize winners FTW! I'm sure the third prizes are the best, right?
  17. Very funny. Plus a nicely-built backdrop.
  18. They're one and the same. Captain Green Hair changed his name for the Red vs. Blue tournament of retribution. ... and bluecoats and pirates need some healthy competition
  19. You're calling Lego (TLG) God now?
  20. Now where would have gotten the inspiration for such a sigfig?
  21. Considering the prices posted earlier in this thread (at least I think it was this one) - 150 and 200 euros - you can be sure that it includes PF. Plus: they're pictured on the front of the box!
  22. I'm assuming you mean 2010 I get what you mean with 'Playmobil vibe'. I have always - already as a kid - liked the type of themes/sets Playmobil brings out and the associated 'atmosphere'. This type of castle line certainly has the potential to be stretched for years. Looks like TLG is going back to its 80s/90s roots more and more... and I like it.
  23. I agree, these should be more dosed. I'm overly excited now. Maybe it would be a nice marketing strategy for TLG to make a advent calendar of next year's sets/themes every December. Actually I think that could create a small hype around Lego every December.
  24. Agreed, nice little scene, but you really need to break up the white a little. But then again: it may not look like your kitchen anymore
  25. I like my Lego old-fashioned and pre-internet era (shows what kind of company they are) But I guess you're right with 4 year-old's browsing the internet nowadays, they could also take advantage of the internet and their brand name among their main target group. They are getting there with AFOL-oriented sets, which are announced at AFOL events and of which pictures are spread (under embargo) among major AFOL blogs and sites.
