  1. Wrong Advent Calendar topic ... I thought you were going to claim he was the third member of your family that won
  2. Indeed, the city scenes look nicely crowded. I especially like the airport scene they've created with the beach in the background. Are there red and yellow suitcases in the 2010 sets? And are those yellow 'wheel blocking' pieces (1 x 2 plate with rail and some cheese slopes) coming the the tanker truck? Too bad they didn't create a new farm scene. And where is the farm impulse set?
  3. I'm pretty sure that this means he's not that serious. So it must be the smell (just kidding, at least until we get 'Internet-scent'). I should really start following these mafia games so I can sign up at some time too. I don't have a really good idea how it's exactly played yet.
  4. I'm pretty sure it's a computer virus spreading itself via C-P crew members' signatures. You have to trust the crew if they say they don't know anything. If we cannot trust them, who can we trust...
  5. Ship) (I assume ) Furthermore, I'd like to repeat my quote from another topic on these games: "Pirate Babies!!!"
  6. Ok, but the tiles on the inside (leading up to the door) are at a slight angle to cover the 1/2 plate difference. I assume you just did not press those down entirely on the half pins to get that effect?
  7. It was public before... ... and this must be the reason it's not now.

    City 2010

That's true, in case you were in doubt about that. There was a poll quite some time ago. ... and another topic about it. Flagship set means something like 'top of the (City) line'. Anyway: I hope it will be available through S@H, because we don't have TRU anymore here in The Netherlands. And I hope it will be option 2, although option 1 could bring an interesting set as well.
  9. ? I'm guessing they do this - in 'invisible places' - to make the instructions easier for kids to read. Stacking a pile of green bricks apparently can make it hard to discern individual bricks. Another example where they did this is in the 7641 City Corner set: the bus has both a red and a blue 1 x 4 brick with studs on one side to define the front and back of the bus (I guess).
  10. You might want to stay of EB then if all your posts are going to be like this Baby Pirates!!!
  11. I finally gave in. I now know what's coming until the 24th This is my favorite advent calendar so far. In fact I like it so much, I've ordered a second copy from Amazon.de (it's on sale there now for under €10). But when I tried to find this thread I noticed it's not in the Trains and Town Review Index. You might want to fix that.
  12. Looking good
  13. There's a 1/2 plate left... I always represent a plate by '2', a brick height by '6' and a brick width by '5'. This way you need to cover 10 units (2 brick width), which is done with one brick width (5) and two plate heights (4), which leaves 1 unit, which is 1/2 plate height. So, you didn't just not fully press down the red 2 x 2 tiles?
  14. Indeed: kind of strange that the tree is such a nice '3-D' model and looks good from every angle and that snow-man is so 'flat' from the back.
  15. Indeed, because there is no indication of them consisting of random pieces per bag, it is likely that they will contain complete figs. It would cause quite some frustration with kids (and AFOLs!) if this wouldn't be the case. You would need to buy lots. Also, some figs have accessories, while others don't. Some don't even have hairpieces or headwear.
  16. That mechanism is really simple but very clever. I don't have a clear preference for either of them, but with the second one the 'bed' may extend a bit too much in the back, so you might want to consider lengthening the chassis.
  17. Impressive progress... I like the color scheme you've chosen. The dark-blue works really well indeed.
  18. The C-P crew's signatures must have been virus-infected. They're all showing the same message, yet they seem to ...
  19. Add one more... I won! Maybe we can carpool to Sweden
  20. I like the way the masts stick above the water. All the details make this a very lively scene. Nice work!
  21. No clue, but the link is in Wouwie's signature as well...
  22. The colors are really well-chosen. I like all the different layers of rock and the color you picked for the cacti. And the train is nice too
  23. The picture is from the German 2010 catalogue
  24. Nice work on the foliage... a really believable jungle scene.
  25. Thanks (Danke ). Too bad there's only 1.5 of every 2 pages (i.e., only half of either the left or right page).
