  1. If only LEGO would have held a "build a classic police" car last year. Looks great.
  2. It is slightly different. The new piece does not have studs on top.
  3. I wonder why you think this addition was necessary after the two reminders I posted asking everyone to discuss the set itself? I also asked for a friendly discussion and while I realise that, not being a native speaker myself, I may miss some subtleties of the English language here and there, I don't think the word "whiner" has many friendly connotations. If you feel further discussion about this is necessary, you can PM me.
  4. They spoke about that in the reveal video. Three (four if you count the kiosk) different facades create some variation in the modular street. They started doing this with Brick Bank and Detective's Office, by the way. I guess it prevents a row of 32-wide "blocks" on a street.
  5. I appreciate that some replies were prepared as I was posting this, but please, discuss the set itself here and keep it friendly. Thank you.
  6. Let's all stick to discussing the set and not the appropriateness of a police-themed modular building.
  7. Temporarily locked to channel discussion about the new modular to the appropriate topic.
  8. 10278 Police Station 2,923 pieces €179.99 / £169.99 / $199.99 / AU$299.99 / CA$269.99 Available: 1 January 2021
  9. New suspension piece. Reminds me of this one, although the new one also turns.
  10. Personally, I prefer the fully furnished interiors and even a little story line. While I like the cookie prohibition and the money laundering themes of DO and BB respectively, I also feel like the build was sacrificed too much to accommodate the associated play features. Those story lines can be included without eating into the piece count or the build. The PR is the perfect example of how that can be accomplished. I still enjoy Jamie's modulars most. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's little touches here and there and very clever use of space. Still waiting for that post office or police station...
  11. Looks like you either put the Modulars on another baseplate (2 stacked baseplates = 1 plate), add something else underneath to increase the height to align with this road system or replace the baseplates by four 16 x 16 plates.
  12. Alright... What is your favorite FABULAND animal? Duh. Should LEGO bring FABULAND back? Nope, because it most likely will suck. What is your least favorite Mafia role? (Can either be a generic role you don't like to see including in games or a specific experience in a game) Neutral voteless watcher

  14. 41999 4 x 4 Crawler Exclusive Edition
  15. Manatee arrived. Thanks so much Mike for all the work you put into the raffle every year.
  16. I'd love for Jamie to return to designing modular buildings. His designs are indeed more reminiscent of the simple Classic Town days. Out of the non-Jamie modular, the Town Hall and the most recent Corner Garage probably come closest, followed by the Downtown Diner. Palace Cinema probably remains my least favourite modular building.
  17. Thanks so much for doing this every year Mike.
  18. You should be able to send Personal Messages (PMs) as of 10 post, which you have right now.

  20. There it is!
