  1. Looks like someone at TLG wanted to go home early. The press release is live now.
  2. TLG has just announced the new Modular Building on its Facebook page.
  3. The latest addition to the Modular Buildings theme has just been announced by TLG. 10255 Assembly Square celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the theme and is loaded with references to earlier Modulars. The 4,002 piece set features a little square surrounded by buildings on a 32 x 48 stud footprint. Check out all the interior and exterior details and see if you can spot all the references to previous Modular Buildings in the Town forum. The set will be available on January 1, 2017 through LEGO Shop@Home.
  4. Images of the new modular building are still under embargo for the next couple of hours. The official reveal is planned in 2 hours from this post (19:00 CET). Since it will be difficult to contain images or links to images (and I will not be available to moderate this thread at the moment), I will lock this topic until the official release in a couple of hours. Please come back in two hours time. Thanks for your understanding.

  6. After hearing the description from the LEGO employee posted earlier in this topic, I also envisioned something like @paupadros posted: a semi-enclosed square/open space, surrounded by buildings. The only way to make this compatible with the modular line so far and keep the price within the price of two modulars, is to move the inverted corner buildings all the way back into the corners of the baseplate. Another option would be @Adeel Zubair's sketch, but that doesn't really scream "square" to me. The big risk is indeed that the modulars become even less grand than the latest modular's we've seen, so I hope they at least include three 32 x 32 baseplates, but I doubt it... I further expect the floors to be modular as well, so they can be rearranged and you can make different buildings by mixing and matching.
  7. People, please go easy on the quote button please. It's not making the topic easier to read.
  8. Weird... I manually set your post count to 102 (the number of posts I could find for you) and your rank to Citizen accordingly. Let's see what happens when you try to post again.
  9. I fixed the frontpage post concerned. The issues on some mobile devices (having to scroll to the right for the "hamburger" menu) are due to the Google ads at the bottom of the page not scaling properly on all devices/browsers. We're looking into this.
  10. Is it really too much trouble to look at the recent threads in the Town forum and see what's been posted before making your first post?
  11. TLG has been pretty consistently using flesh only for themes/sets where real people are represented, so I'd assume they'll use "normal" yellow figures. Also, some previous non-licensed Ideas sets have used "yellowies" (or should we call them "yellies" ).
  12. It's kind of hard to have a clear rule about it (although we are working on a guideline), but let me put it this way: I agree with the statement above and I have no problems with what you just wrote in your post.
  13. Old Fishing Store! Check out the video in which the Ideas team announce this new set which will come out in 2017 and discuss in the Town forum.
  14. As I said in the Modular discussion thread, let's not give companies that rip off TLG or AFOLs any further free publicity. Thanks.
  15. Let's not get this thread further off-topic please. Also, considering Lepin are simply stealing TLG's designs (and AFOL's designs it seems), I don't think it is right to basically give them free publicity here. So, please no more discussion about Lepin's or any other clone brand's products. I think it's good to let this thread rest for a while until any real news on the next modular comes out. I considered locking it for the moment at several points, but I'd rather keep it open. If the discussion goes too far off-topic though, you'll leave me no choice. Thank you for your understanding.
  16. Thanks for pointing that out. PM permissions have been fixed. New members can't send PMs, Vassals, Citizens and Knights can send PMs to one person at a time, Counts can add a maximum of 2 recipients, Dukes 3 and Grand Dukes and Archdukes 4.
  17. Maybe people finally got the message that it's pretty pointless to keep posting in a topic when there's nothing new to discuss. As always, a thread for the new modular will be created once we have an official press release.
  18. Thank you. That's a good tip indeed. I have been struggling with making a frontpage image clickable. However, please note that changing the embedded image size does not actually make oversized images smaller, because it will still load the oversized image. Instead, upload a smaller image (or use a smaller image size that sites like flickr serve) and embed this smaller image.
  19. It could be the Google ad programme serving ads that redirect you away from EB. They're typically quick to remove these kind of ads. If it persists, try to note which kind of ads are redirecting you, so Sinner can try to look into the Google ad settings (although it is typically hard to track down which ads are causing it and -like I said- Google are likely to remove these kind of ads).
  20. Some of the issues you dislike about the new editor (like not having a separate reply screen) obviously are inherent to the new software and cannot be altered. I have added a button that removes all formatting (Tx) and a button that allows you to include spoilers to the standard toolbar. These buttons may not show up on smaller screens because of their limited screen width.
  21. No idea if we had an undo button before, but Ctrl-Z does the job just fine.
  22. LEGO Ambassador Anio put 12,500 bricks into this microscale rendition of the railway station of the French city of Limoges. Check out this MOC and more of his recent creations in the Special Themes forum.
  23. Olivia's house was part of the first wave in 2012, Emma's came out in 2015 and now Stephanie's is due for 2017. Expect Andrea's and Mia's in 2019 and 2021.
  24. This is directly accessible via the "Posted x minutes/hours ago" link in the top-left corner of a message or the share icon on the top-right. You can right-click either of these links and copy the URL to go directly to a post.
