  1. - Well versed in old Norse Fanglish dialect [ For being an expert at deciphering the old Norse Fanglish dialect. From Hinckley during Ragnarök Redux. ] - Utterly Irrestible! [ I'm restless. I can't help it. It may have been Pandora thinking I'm irresistible or just me making a typo somewhere. ] - The barometer of our times [ From Rufus. For being able to tell when it's raining. In some cases without even looking at my phone. ]
  2. Thanks for the explanation Lyichir. This is how we moderate threads and we, indeed, try to moderate consistently across the board. Concretely, people look at this thread to see news or discussion about the Architecture range. We're simply trying to keep the forum organised by stepping in when discussion threads veer off-topic, not because we enjoy "coming down on posters". If you think something warrants moderator intervention elsewhere, please use the Report button on the respective post.
  3. I think it's an illusion to think TLG does things solely to please (adult) fans. Of course they try to please us by, for example, including certain parts in new colours or with new prints in D2C sets. But the production runs for exclusives are simply too small to justify new moulds, unless, like the scooter in the Parisian Restaurant, they're also used in regular retail sets.
  4. I saw his secret, which I'm not going to reveal of course.
  5. Yahoo doesn't ask for your phone number, right? They probably try to get it for "password/account recovery", but I can't imagine it being mandatory. Next to the virtually unlimited (1TB) storage they offer, one of the great things about flickr is that you can easily embed images in various resolutions without the need to upload the same image in multiple resolutions. This makes it ideal for use on a forum. You upload the image in full resolution and then use a smaller resolution on the board. It even generates the BBCode for you.
  6. I wouldn't share my LEGO. Damn, I should have been quicker building that SW polybag. I started a post before I decided to quote you and I didn't notice it was still there...
  7. Thanks an incredibly detailed review Rufus. The EB commun ... and it couldn't have gone to anyone better (I was so close ). Thanks for the incredibly detailed review of this already iconic set Rufus. I never had any classic space as a kid, but I guess I can't afford to pass on this.
  8. Eurobricks Reviewers Academy Teacher and Special Themes Moderator Rufus brings us an early review of the long-anticipated set 70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! from The LEGO Movie. Is this the beginning of a Classic Space revival? Read the in-depth review and let us know how much you love it, love it, LOVE IT! in the Special Themes forum.
  9. It looks like a guitar to me.
  10. Based on the parts list at the end of the manual, I'm missing: 34 yellow 1 x 6 bricks 10 yellow 1 x 4 bricks 2 yellow 1 x 12 bricks 2 yellow 2 x 2 corner bricks 3 yellow 2 x 2 corner plates 1 green 2 x 2 plate 2 green hinge plates 1 light grey 6 x 6 plate Which is a pretty familiar list.
  11. I'm pretty sure it means that prototypes of sets or images of those prototypes are not or only rarely released publicly, not that all prototypes are still available in physical form. Most sets go through several rounds of prototyping, so it would not be feasible to store them all somewhere.
  12. A first picture of the new Winter Village set 10245 Santa's Workshop has surfaced. Discuss in the Winter Village discussion thread in the Town forum. Thanks to CM4S for posting the news to Eurobricks.
  13. Thanks Mike and Boney for making such an amazing event possible! You organised some really awesome activities for us all and it was great meeting everyone and hanging out together. I made it home safe and sound last evening thanks to two lovely Brits. (Thank you so much for kidnapping me last week.) Good to hear my cabin mates made it home safely. Enjoy that pile of LEGO you bought.
  14. I blame the Germans (well, most of them ) for the bloody roadworks on the Autobahn near Hamburg. I have no idea yet how complete my yellow castle is.
  15. The important thing is you made it out... eventually... stumbling, if I remember correctly.
  16. Skalldyr is only one 10 short of ten 10s, although that doesn't really make it a 10, I guess. It's the 10th tanker truck released in the Town/City theme after... http://brickset.com/...l-Petrol-Tanker http://brickset.com/...xon-Fuel-Tanker http://brickset.com/...-1/Tanker-Truck http://brickset.com/...6-1/Fuel-Tanker http://brickset.com/...52-1/Milk-Truck http://brickset.com/...4-1/Gas-Transit http://brickset.com/...-1/Shell-Tanker http://brickset.com/...59-1/Fuel-Truck http://brickset.com/...80-1/Tank-Truck Oh and the tank holds 10,000 litres of LEGO fuel (the minifig told me).
  17. Dutch Eurobricks member alois has created this lovely modular corner scene inspired by the Dutch-British exclusive set 1592 Town Square. Check it out from every angle and leave your comments in the Town forum.
  18. It contains 10 different elements with a round shape in black.
  19. You've been warned about not using EB as a billboard to promote your own site before.
  20. It's also one of 10 sets featuring Imperial Guards (Redcoats) not counting the Barnacle Bay Value Pack (which includes one of those 10 sets). The top of the finished structure has a total of 10 exposed studs.
  21. It's the Pirates set with the tenth lowest set number.
  22. It has ten different black parts (if you count the soldier's tricorn hat).
  23. Category A: 2 - 2 points 18 - 1 point 19 - 1 point Category B: 3 - 2 points 9 - 2 points
  24. I have a Darth Vader keychain lying around. Anyone interested in, e.g., trading for two Town-themed CMFs?
