Remember that all PF components should fit on the 16x16 stud space, but you can definitely use 2x3 light bricks (like most of the official Winter Village sets).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion
Rick replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Let's get back to discussing the LEGO Movie minifigures and not which series belong to the CMF line. Thanks. -
I don't see why not. Just make sure it fits the Winter Village theme. This is one of the reasons why the competition a little "smaller" (with a similar prize pool) for a change. Next to focusing the attention on detail, we also want to give people with small(er) collections a fair chance.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion
Rick replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The big difference is that it is now confirmed through TLG. Sure, we could have taken your word for it, but I don't like taking sides in debates without information that can't credibly be confirmed (without posting confidential pictures from a retailers catalog, for example). -
The theme of the contest is expanding the Winter Village Market set, so you have to stick to the Winter Village theme. You may be able to find a way to give it a Hobbit flavour though.

Member Titles - Questions and Answers
Rick replied to languages's topic in Forum Information and Help
Did you forget your post and Pandora's reply from a couple of months ago? Asking for a title almost certainly ensures you won't get one. Obviously, you can only have one title at a time, and as each title is recognised people tend to record them in the archives, the link to which is in Rick's post, immediately above your post. So, please stop asking for a title. -
High-resolution pictures of the 2014 City and Friends sets have surfaced on the Canadian Walmart website. Check out the high-resolution pictures of the City and Friends sets in the Town forum.

Your entry should fit on a 16x16 (base)plate. Alternatively, you could use two 8x16 plates. Let's say you can divide the 16x16 space up to a maximum of four 8x8 modules. Everything should fit on the plates, but for presentation you can photograph minifigures or minidolls next to the plates. Additional structural elements like trees, cars, tables, etc. should not fall outside the space you have available though. Of course you can use Technic pieces, but your entry should fit in with the Winter Village theme. This is exactly what we're aiming for! Just take a look at all the creative entries in the Pimp My Camper competition.

I'd be interested to see what's causing the issue: the length of the axle with stop perhaps? Maybe they changed the mold of one of the parts involved and some batches got pieces from the old mold still.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Rick replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Welcome to EB dragonau,. If you have something to add to a post within a short span of time, please use the "Edit" function (at the bottom-right of your posts) instead of making a new post. Thanks. -
The 2013 Holiday Season is approaching fast and that means it's time for the traditional Expand the Winter Village Contest on Eurobricks! This year we'd like you to expand on this year's Winter Village Market set. Read the rules and discuss the Expand the Winter Village Contest IV in the Town forum.

That's... very bright, but it's lovely set and a worthy successor to the Café of the very first wave. The half dome piece turns out to be a very versatile piece and it looks great used on the seats.

I have created a new topic for your MOC as the Winter Village series discussion topic wasn't really the appropriate place for your post. Please note that we do not allow topics (or posts) solely advertising Cuusoo projects (including a link (once) is ok though). Since you present an image of your MOC as well, I've decided to allow it in this case.

Congratulations everyone. I really enjoyed the creativity with which most of you managed to pimp such a little set.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion
Rick replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Alright, that's enough arguing about whether this is officially CMF Series 12 or not. We want EB to be a place to discuss our hobby in a friendly atmosphere. When these will officially be released, we'll decide on what to do with the title of this thread. For now, I have added "The LEGO Movie" to the thread title. Just to be clear: this debate has ended right here. -
I have merged it with "The Town Square" (general discussion) thread instead. It was a great success indeed and we are considering running another one, but don't expect it before Spring 2014.

We have rules for selling LEGO through Eurobricks. Please refer to the guidelines of the BSTF forum. Basically, we don't allow "new" members to sell through EB and we definitely don't allow members to hijack other people's topics for advertising their sales.
-
Eurobricks member jamesster has found pictures of a lot of the new LEGO Movie sets on LEGO.com. Check out the rest of the pictures in the Special Themes forum.
-
Please don't do that. I don't think I need to explain why.
-
It's not just about which part is cheaper, but also - judging by the parts selection of some sets - about the number of different parts in a set. I guess that may have played a role in the decision to change the black car's wheels.
