The 2 x 2 round tile with a hole in the center seems to be a new piece for 2014, so it's simply a bottle turned upside down. Sabrage.

The images were sent to Eurobricks and come from a press release sent out by TLG to all AFOL sites.

Availability - What's up with this (in-production) set?
Rick replied to Ragnar_Deerslayer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I doubt they're creating scarcity deliberately as TLG doesn't benefit from inflated prices. It's in their best interest to match demand exactly at MRSP. I think it's more likely its a logistics issue, i.e. they can't fulfill demand in a short enough time from a certain warehouse location, so they list if as "temporarily out of stock" while they restock or relocate inventories. -
This is absolutely stunning. Thanks Jamie for giving us an amazingly detailed Modular with lots and lots of clever building techniques and piece usages again. I've been drooling over the pictures since we received the press release at EB. I bet there are thousands of little restaurants in France called "Chez Albert". I think it's just meant to be a generic French restaurant name. The "A" shape on the sign seems to be a reference to the Eiffel Tower though. It indeed reminds me of the Green Grocer in a lot of ways and it's going right on top of my list of favourite Modulars together with that set. This is clearly a Jamie creation: lots of amazing building techniques and clever usage of pieces. Next to that, I love how he uses every stud of space as efficiently as possible. Look at the amount of detail he managed to cram into the kitchen, how the curtains on the inside nicely cover up the supports in the wall for the little columns on the ground floor, etc. The previous two Modulars (Town Hall and Pet Shop) had large open spaces that could have been used for so much more interior detailing, but this is just packed. I also like that the row of 32 wide blocks is broken up again by the outside stairs. It has a stud, so it can actually hold a wine bottle. I was surprised the tray from the CMF series didn't have that.

It looks like they cleverly designed the scooter so it can hold both minifig and minidoll handlebars.

I guess it's clear by now that this set will be released by TLG in the very near future. Please do not post any pictures before the official release date. edit: Official press release by TLG can be found here.

You really managed to capture all the essentials of the lighthouse on such a small scale. I'm moving this to Special Themes, since we're focusing the Town forum on everyday life in minifigure scale.

Are you sure you can do minimalistic? I've played a couple of games, I'm sure you remember some of them fondly. The one where I got to poison people, because I had to try to keep the Town and Scum numbers balanced with my kills. I also liked that I got to watch my victims. So I also enjoyed the watcher role I had in Werewolf, just not the voteless neutral part of the role. How much fun it actually was to be able to play anonymously in Harriet Slutter.

Town and Trains used to be combined in one forum, but a couple of years ago TheBrickster set up the Train Tech forum. Discussions in Train Tech also focus on the technical aspects of trains, so there is a difference in target audience. This doesn't mean a lot of Town fans are Train fans as well, of course.

And here are some pictures LowLUG member "rob" posted on their forum. The bags of assorted pieces come from the Skaerbaek event.

In the end, I guess it all depends on the time period you set your MOC in. If it's set in relatively recent times then Town's the place to post it. If you're ready to post and you're unsure about where to post it, just send a staff member a PM (or just post it and we'll move it to the appropriate place if necessary). Yup. Yes, that would tie in nicely with the Monster Fighters theme which is covered by the Action Themes forum.

We plan to host (reviews of) future Creator Houses here as well, exactly because they're everyday life in minifig scale. That's difficult to answer because it depends on how well it ties in with a historical/action/licensed theme. But if it's a contemporary building, it could fit in the Town forum.

The Eurobricks Town forum the place for everyday life in minifigure/minidoll scale. I have moved out recent (threads posted in August and September) mini- or microscale MOCs. Those should be posted in the Special Themes forum from now on, where they fit in nicely with themes such as Architecture, the Mini Modulars and non-minifig scale landmarks such as the Tower Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. I have only moved recent threads, but if you - for some reason - would like to have an older MOC moved over to Special Themes, just let us know.

They must have been inspired by Brickforge's scooters.
-
Didn't you even check the recent topics in the forum you just posted this in? I've merged this with the existing thread discussing the LEGO Shop in Belgium.
-
Train stations go in Train Tech, so I've moved it over there. Good luck completing your station.
-
I have merged it with the existing thread on the opening of the Belgian LEGO Store.
-
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work Stinky puts into this, but there are lots of topics that people might consider important, like "What's the story behind your display name?", "What's your favourite set?", etc. If we were to pin them all, the forum would be needlessly cluttered. There's a pinned Community index with links to all these topics that new users can check when they venture into this forum.
-
What makes you think you should get notified of that? There were too many threads cluttering up the top of the Community forum. I made sure the Community index is up to date though and this thread is now linked in there. If you plan to regularly bump this topic, ... don't.
-
I understand how easily discussing a certain year's City lineup can turn into a discussion about what you'd like to see in the City theme, but please use the dedicated "Ideas for new City sets" thread for that. Thanks.
-
Please don't bump topics with meaningless posts and stay on-topic. Thanks.

I love how you managed to make a relatively "blocky" building so interesting by means of great piece usage (like the columns made from rotated palisade bricks and basically the whole exterior of the café). The colour scheme is wonderful, both on the interior and the exterior and you really make use of every available stud of space (both on the facade and the interior). Great job.
