  1. Not the Baker and his wife! This is a sorry day indeed. As the arsonist didn't strike, I can only assume his target was protected, or the scum were up to some other dastardly deed.
  2. I only looked at a couple, but I really liked them - particularly the sedate pace and relaxing music (good choice). However, people might get put off watching the whole thing; you could try speeding up the pace just a little.
  3. Seconded! But it is a really great idea
  4. I'd advise you to get the Emerald Night. This set is an instant classic, and you're sure to regret if you don't, even if you're not really into trains. She's an absolute beauty
  5. Happy Birthday Jipay and TinyPies! Hope you both have a fantastic day! Love Rufus & Pandora.
  6. 'Your helmet is so BIG!' Lovely custom! Looks just like the movie.
  7. Happy Birthday, Marshal, hope you've had a great day
  8. I think you're looking for this I found it very useful when I was new to the site.
  9. Everyone voted for Felix after his confession. It is interesting that, despite waiting till after the conviction to vote for scum, you were oh so quick to jump in and vote for Helen. I hope so too; however, there is no other way to test our suspicions. Substitute anyone else's name for Mindy's - would you be comfortable then? This is what the Town do - we vote to narrow down the list of suspects. At this stage, it's not a very long list.
  10. There are ten of us left, and we now have a much better idea of who the remaining scum are. In order to decide who to vote for today, I have been looking over the voting patterns for the days when we convicted either confirmed or likely scum (Lauren, Sheldon, Cara - I've ignored the Fox because he confessed and I don't think we can read much into that vote). An interesting pattern emerged. There are two people who either voted against the lynch, or voted after the convicting vote was cast, in all three cases. Both are people I've been suspicious of for other reasons (unfortunately little tangible), and both have been shown doing something suspicious in pictures. Either or both could be scum, but in the absence of concrete evidence I fear we'll have to test them one-by-one, and see what they have to say. I'll start. Vote: Mindy Mouse (Professor Flitwick)
  11. Becka! Booker! Nooooo! You bastards. We'll get you, count on it.
  12. Happy Birthday CopMike! I hope you enjoy your mystery trip I'll add another drink to the stack you'll be getting in Windsor
  13. I agree that was not ideal. I'd much rather you had been here earlier; however, I had information that implicated you and it had to be shared in time to get a vote going. I highly doubt that God would pass the arson action on to a random player, and the arson action has clearly always been used to the detriment of the Village. It looks to have been always the scums' main weapon. So you chose to investigate the people who appear the most town? Including one who has been publicly confirmed Village, and had had his own house burned down? Some use you'd have been if you were telling the truth. Protected... against investigation? What purpose would that serve if you're working for the Village's good? I am not convinced by your defence. And I do not understand how you could be so sure of this... ... unless you know who the demons are.
  14. Nobody made you do anything. We presented the information we had, and the uncertainty that came with it. It was you, Bruno, who pointed out that Helen was missing in one of the pictures, and you seemed to have no doubt of Helen's guilt when you spoke to me privately yesterday.
  15. Happy Birthday Walter! - from me and Mrs R. Hope you have a great day, and get more LEGO than just 4483
  16. Gilbert, you have clearly been talking to scum, whether or not you know it. Remember the 'one shot' investigation orb, which was used to clear Lazlo? I had acquired one of those, and attempted to use it to investigate Cara last night. The fact that I was seen doing that is further confirmation that I was not blocked, but that the orb was unable to get a reading on Cara. The previous investigation attempt may well have failed because that investigator was blocked, which might explain why they weren't seen. If Cara does indeed have a personal bodyguard, then I'm now even more convinced we are doing the right thing in convincting Cara. I remember reading about a Werewolf who had a personal bodyguard, and look what trouble that bodyguard caused. People, we need to lynch Cara. She is very likely to have an important scum role, and lynching her is the only way to find out, since we can't investigate her. Then, if she is found to be scum, the identity of this 'bodyguard' must be made public.
  17. It's worth reinforcing the point that Cara claims to have investigated Booker - a confirmed Townie who had himself been a victim of the arsonist - on night 4, the night Felix was lynched. That is, before we knew that the arsonist action could be passed on. This is perhaps the most suspicious point of her claims.
  18. Last night, the investigator had two actions to perform... and the other was successful. Very well, I will tell you what I've heard from a trusted source. Cara claims to be an investigator who determines whether someone is the arsonist or not. This might make sense if the arsonist is indeed a neutral character, but it is looking increasingly likely that not only is the arsonist an action that can be passed around, but also that it has always been the scums' primary killing action. Remember Lauren pulling a torch, and Felix's fiery antics? With this information, Cara's claimed action is superfluous. Then we have her claimed targets. It is my understanding that on the first night, Cara chose to target Becka, a figure who has in my view always appeared solidly Town. Would it not have made more sense to investigate the one other person who has claimed an action related to the arsonist - Edgar? The following nights, Cara's choice of targets have always been people who are either confirmed Villagers, or very likely to be townie. My understanding is that on night four, Cara chose to investigate Booker - someone who not only has been confirmed Village, but was himself a victim of the arsonist on the first night. The other targets were Wendell, Gilbert, myself, and last night, Becka again. Needless to say, the results that we have heard were all negative. If Cara is scum masquerading as a townie with a 'useful' action, this choice of targets is convenient. Not only is it unlikely to conflict with any information other townies might have, but it also prevents us narrowing down the list of possible scum if Cara were caught. If she is not scum, the choices are at best thoughtlessly random; indeed I understand Cara has been unwilling to listen to advice on whom to target. This is the evidence I have pieced together with others. Perhaps it is not absolutely conclusive, but coupled with the investigator's inability to get a result from Cara, it is in my view highly suspicious.
  19. I saw the problem too, but it works for me now
  20. I do have a suspicion, which I've been discussing with one or two trusted villagers. A few nights ago the investigator targeted Cara. She had made an unusual night action claim, which had raised suspicions, and her choice of targets was odd. The investigator's action was unsuccessful, and they assumed they had been blocked. However, last night the investigator tried again, and got the same result, that their night action was unsuccessful - but this time the investigator was definitely not blocked. This suggests that Cara is somehow immune to night investigations; perhaps she has a role akin to a Ninja. Whatever the reason, it seems likely she's up to no good, and if we cannot investigate her, we have no choice but to find out what she's up to in public. I am aware that Cara is not currently here to defend herself, but we have to make progress, and this is the strongest lead we have. So until we can learn anything more, I will vote: Cara Cow (badboytje)
  21. The clue is right above you, in the pictures and narrative, Portia. Helen was framed. This is indeed a tragedy, but as we made clear yesterday, when suspicion has been cast on someone like this, we have to take some action. We had a choice between lynching Helen, who had definite (if misguided) suspicion, lynching someone else at random, who would be just as, if not more likely to be a villager, or doing nothing and letting the demon creature take one of us at random, in addition to the threat of more powers being given to the demon legion. If we had spared Helen, she would not have been free of suspicion; we would forever have been watching her and worrying that anyone's death might have been prevented if we had lynched her when we had the opportunity. If she had been investigated again, she could have been framed again; or if she were then given a 'Village' result, which result do we trust? Best of three? And all this time, the scum will be busy picking us off while we are distracted. So I am truly sorry, Helen, that this had to happen to you. If we live through this ordeal, you will get a proper statue, not that macabre mockery the vicious scummy brute created. Rest in peace, Helen.
  22. Aaargh! My eyes!!
  23. Thanks... I think.
  24. On the contrary, we have been endlessly debating your arguments in the light of the one undeniable fact: that you have been investigated and found to be a member of the Demon Legion. Because we found it hard to believe the result, we asked you to watch someone last night, to see if they were targeted, while we asked Kenda to follow you to see whom you targeted. You were unable to tell us the answer - you said because your night action was unsuccessful - so you took a guess. Why did you take a guess? And, fortunately for you, Kenda was killed last night. Which brings me onto this: As I said earlier, we have no way of knowing who else Kenda told of her ability. And I've considered the other possibility, but various things which are against the rules to quote have given me reason to believe Booker can be trusted. I'll let Gilbert answer that one: Moreover, the lynch vote is our only weapon against the scum. We must use it. And I repeat, surely it is better to act on a known investigation result than to trust to pure chance on a random conviction. Unless, that is, anyone wants to launch a vote on that tree stump over there.
  25. That's a very good point A lot of people (myself included) were suspicious of Kenda early on; I don't see how this helps. If Helen is scum, the question is not whether Helen knew about Kenda's (or people's) abilities, but if the scum knew. And it is impossible now to find out who knew what and when. As to that: (today) (day three) There was a lot of time during which Helen was trusted as the towniest of town, during which who knows who contacted her before suspicion was cast. Which is more likely: Helen was 'framed' on the exact night she was investigated, or she was scum (converted or not) playing a very clever game? And which is the bigger risk: we lynch someone with an investigation result against them, though there is a slight possibility she was 'framed', or let a possible demon legion member off, and instead take a guess at someone else? If Helen is town, her ability will be next to useless now it's out in the open. I'm sorry, Helen, but I think we must test this investigation result the hard way: vote: Helen Hippo (def)
