  1. Yes, Helen, I would. I thought that's what you meant; you just didn't say it very clearly in your original statement. However, it looks as though regular protection wouldn't have saved him anyway - Edgar says he's the only one who can stop the arsonist, and Booker's blue orb didn't work. I enjoyed Horace's little play - keep working on them, big boy! We can't assume that all three flashes of light came from your house, though, when you only witnessed one of them. I'm inclined to believe your story - sure, you would likely know the demon MO if you were scum, but why then reveal that information at all?
  2. Indeed! Rick, you've made our day Your Rufus looks suspiciously new
  3. Yes, I too was a little surprised Booker was targeted, but I'm sorry we lost a villager. I'm not sure I understand the last sentence, Helen; would you care to explain what you meant? I'd also be keen to hear about who 'visited' Edgar during the night, and how Brigit happened to 'overhear' about it....
  4. I seem to remember reading this argument before, in that Werewolf book, and misapplied there as well, so I'm going to have to disagree with you, my dear bear. Statistically, the Village will be better off not lynching, and going into the night with an even number of players. And we have already learned a little from the voting patterns, not least of which is the sudden rush of votes against a player targeted randomly, despite everything he was saying in his defense. I'm not saying we shouldn't vote; we should look hard for and test anyone who seems suspicious, and voting is one way to do that. It's very likely that there are some scummy animals in that rush of voters who didn't wait to hear Edgar's defence. Whether or not you believe Edgar is not the issue; if there's a chance he might be telling the truth, he should be tested another way.
  5. The reason I (stupidly) logged on as invisible was because I knew I was being stalked - another metagaming tactic you might have been known to resort to, Hinck!
  6. I've had a little chat with Edgar, and I'm inclined to believe him. I don't think he would draw attention to his role if he's the opposite of what he says, and it would be very brave to invent the role. If he is telling the truth, then we the villagers need him.
  7. Don't tell Pennie about the sausages....
  8. Cheers, slacker int! Prateek has answered your second point Thanks, prateek! Good idea, but actually it wouldn't work - you need 3-wide plates to strengthen the next layer (two 2x8 plates with a couple of 1x6 plates end-to-end between them). If I get round to it, I'll post instructions if anyone's interested. I promise not to leave it another 18 months!
  9. Sorry to bump an ancient thread, but I finally got round to creating this car for real: Well, it's only taken me 18 months! The original lxf file that I created for this model no longer works with the latest version of LDD, so this model was created mostly from memory, with reference to my earlier photos. I made a few changes in creating this with real bricks. Front oblique view: The biggest change over the LDD version is the front. I found a few of the 4x1x1 curve slopes, and used them in conjunction with the 3x1x1 slopes, creating an interesting contour for the bonnet. As a result, the bonnet no longer opens, but I like the look. Front view: I used some cheeses to fill an otherwise unsightly gap under the windscreen, which might represent an air intake or something... Side view: You can see it seats four comfortably. Here Rufus is taking some Weasleys and Harry for a spin. Harry isn't too happy that Ginny's up front with Rufle, and he's in the back with Mrs W. The front and rear of the car are only connected by the plates at the base; I had to work a little to get it stiff enough, but convertibles do tend to flex quite a lot. I'm quite please with how the slope of the windscreen has turned out. Underside: One of the downsides in working with an odd number of studs is the lack of large plates in an appropriate width. I've had to use several 2x3 plates at the base. Rear view: The rear is more built up than the front, which gives the profile a wedgy look. The rear boot opens, as we shall see. Top view: Here you can see how the windscreen is attached. I've had to use jumper plates to get the screen at the right angle; this took some work, and I'm not sure the connection is entirely 'legal'. Without the figs: I didn't have the right brown pieces handy; hence the rear seats are dark red. Interior: The doors open, and here's a view of the dashboard. You can fit a lot more detail in a car of this size, whilst still keeping the scale appropriate for minifigs. It will probably look a bit silly in the average Town layout though.... The boot: It opens! Though it's quite a small gap. You could fit a couple of suitcases in there! I hope you like it. I do! C&C welcome My Brickshelf folder, when moderated.
  10. Let's ask him. Wendell!! Get your face out of that clam and tell us who took the demon book! Sheldon, I have a sausage, but I normally reserve it for the ladies... and I kinda promised Kenda the first lick
  11. We'll be lucky indeed to catch someone slipping up here. I guess there's nothing to do but wait for clues. Is it too early for lunch? I'm sure I've got a sausage in my lunchbox that I could share with you, Kenda! I know how much you like licking...
  12. Morning all! I'll take one of your apples, Marcus. I'm not sure if we use money in Spring Haven, but I could trade something... I'm a carpenter, after all, which means I've got wood. I don't know if anyone has any leads, but there's something fishy about Edgar Are you gonna go 'KABOOM' any minute? I would hug you, but you smell of garbage.
  13. Mine is the same as last year (sand blue trousers ), or you could use my Fabuland fig: or I'll bring them both with me anyway
  14. Pork in the Fabulanus?
  15. Cameron Crocodile the carpenter can comfortably confirm his c... c... c... his presence Let's get these vicious Demon Legion bastards and rebuild our lovely village!
  16. I had a feeling you'd be back!

  17. Rufus Rabbit is my Fabuland sigfig. He's been my in profile picture for a while now, and I've been meaning to put him in my signature; the avatar picture is just for fun. Any relation to what Hinck has in store for the Forest is pure coincidence
  18. Are you kidding? She'll be advising me about playing the Forest!
  19. And let the metagaming commence....
  20. Happy Birthday dudes! Hope you both have a fab day
  21. I'd already figured Ron was the 'Bomb' (even though he wasn't actually a bomb). Sorry to disappoint you guys!
  22. I'd definitely like to take part in your Fabuland Mafia, Hinck; I've heard you're a great host I may be a relative newcomer to Mafia, but you've seen how much I'll commit to the game. I have cleared the diary so I'll be free for the next 30 days! (Well, I might have to go to work a few times, and maybe sleep a little, but hey)... I buy LEGO by the bucketload. I have too many bricks to count (a lot more than two!) They're all there in their boxes. There's no question about my favourite Fabuland set: Pweeease let me play!
  23. Cheers buddy. Oooh... it seems you're right. I must have miscounted. Nicely spotted I'll correct the review. Thanks, cmg
  24. Yes, I was, a little I had to claim something, even if just that I was vanilla; in the end I decided to go with the truth. Everything I told you was true (except my alignment); just not the whole truth. At first, it seemed like the right decision, because you were going for vanillas at that point anyway, so I was damned either way. It would have been a whole lot easier if Bob hadn't claimed the same action, and had chosen targets who weren't killed the next night! But yes, if I had just thought more about 'Gary Coleman', I might have endured a little longer. I convinced myself it was Rick - an insane investigator seemed to fit with his character role, and there was this post which clinched it for me: The ' ' looked to me like Rick was objecting to his pseudonym. I didn't know Strawberry Shortcake was Bob. I just assumed the fictional character 'Strawberry Shortcake' was female. I wasn't assuming anything about the gender of the person she represented. Ho-hum.
  25. The clue is in the name
