The Admiral wouldn't have shown Ensign Falcon if he meant it as a clue and the vig hadn't targeted him specifically. So the vig knows if you're telling the truth.
-
So you're saying that the vig actually targeted Scouty Ensign Falcon instead of Lt Wright? That's a claim that can be verified.
-
So it's the blocker's word against Lieutenant Jones'. Being blocked on a night with no scum kill is no proof of guilt. However lying about not being blocked is something else altogether. Lt Jones, you could have said that you are a honest townie with a night action, but instead you deny having been blocked, therefore casting doubts on the blocker who claims having blocked your action. So far, there's no telling which of you is lying. However... That's an unusual claim. Regardless of the credibility of a neutral cop role, why would one go and claim to Lt Jones, instead of Lt Wheeler who the cop allegedly investigated? Why would both a cop and a watcher contact Lt Jones who was not cleared in any way and was scumming up the thread something fierce on day 1? So according to you the neutral cop is a role that makes sense because it benefits the (two?) scum teams, yet you don't want to out him. Then it means that you really think that this role could also benefit town. Either the neutral cop sides with town and the balance is skewed (two town cops?), or they side with scum and they should be outed. Which one will it be, Lt Jones? Maybe the scum have a limited number of conversions, and that they want to gather some info on the townie power roles before attempting a conversion. Anyway, arguing against conversions doesn't help your case -- if there are no conversions, the scum should have killed last night. They didn't, therefore either their target was protected, or their killer was blocked. So, what happened?

Heroica RPG - Quest #30: Ambassadors to Dastan

"Sure, I can do that." Galen throws a fire bomb at the enemy from the back row. (I guess the row matters because of the Chimera's special, right?) -

"Um, the Chimera is growing much too strong for my attacks." Galen attacks the Chimera's Mist from the back row with his throwing dagger. -
I'm sorry, your being "front of the line" doesn't prove anything. Many scum have been "front of the line" before. There's nothing in your play that proves to me that you're town, and until then I will be wary of you and anyone else who will be fishing for information. And what points of your statement have I not replied to? There's nothing farfetched about me thinking that there could be a scum (or more) involved here. There's no risk for anyone -- if the lynchee turns out to be townie, all the blocker needs to say is "sorry, there must be another explanation" and everyone will believe them. Because there are other explanations. Your plan is fine, but it hinges on you being on the town side. I see how from your point of view it's a better plan, can you see why from the point of view of the rest of us it's more risky? Even if it means that you get less information, I'd be reassured if you would take first step. The end result is similar enough. Anyway, we've argued this more than enough already. I'll let you deal with this in the way that you see fit and I hope that your evidence can be used to guide our vote later on.
-
Why are you so defensive? I didn't say that you were scummier that another, or less active, or that I had reasons to suspect you. But until proven otherwise everyone could be scum, including yourself. Being in contact with the blocker doesn't prove anything. Do you even have no proof that your blocker is townie, or that he's really a blocker? Now please stop overreacting and insulting me. What benefits? What's the purpose of taking the roundabout route? If you know who was blocked, contact them, simple as that. I don't see why you're making this complicated. A townie has much more to lose by rushing up and revealing a role to you than the scum has.
-
The way I see it the correct procedure, proving that you know what you're doing, should be that you contact the person who was blocked. Otherwise you're asking for everyone who was blocked last night to reveal themselves to you. There may have been more than one person blocked last night -- there might be a scum blocker, or a number of one-shot actions. I don't think that an unknown number of townies should roleclaim to you, since you're not clear of suspicion yourself.

That's more like it, vigilante! Thomas was quiet and unhelpful, and he turns out to be scum. There's little information to be gathered from a post-mortem analysis of his input, but he did vote for Suzanne late yesterday -- was it a last minute attempt for scum to force a lynch?

OOC: Thanks Zepher! I don't know what the Chimera looks like, perhaps she/it could loose golden teeth? Or make payments directly into my bank account in Eubric? "I wish I could do something for our frozen friends!" Galen attacks the Chimera from the back row. -

OOC: I was attacking from the back row. And did I gain gold from both this round's mug and the previous one? -
'Broken' HTML is in the eye of the beholder! But yes, IE9 is finicky. Here's our resident expert's statement on these issues.

"Thank you for the blessing Vipera, it's good to have you with us." Galen attacks the Chimera again with the Sword of Bashing from the back row. -
Umph... There is no real case against any of the lynch candidates today, and I don't feel confident enough to vote. However there are still a few hours left and perhaps under the pressure something will come up.

My bad, you're right!

Galen almost drops his sword. "This thing... this thing must be coming straight from hell. Except that I thought hell was warm." "I suggest we focus on the Chimera, leaving alone the mist except to avoid free hits. Once the Chimera is dead there will be less peril in hitting the mist." Galen attacks the Chimera with the Sword of Bashing (extra effective against Icy monsters) from the back row. EDIT: effective NOT! -
4n4rch15t - Cornelius just loooves leetspeak for he thinks it's the pinnacle of civilised society. So he really wanted me to share his enthusiasm! ...and updated.

Somehow I doubt that Francis would be involved in the scum kill last night, so unless there are two scum factions -- which remains to be proven -- I'm inclined to trust him. But that's just my guts speaking, and you shouldn't listen. Hear hear. Assuming that Lieutenant Jones is clean himself, I would consider prime suspects those who claimed to him without strong incentive. It's up to Lieutenant Jones to decide if he ought to believe them or report them.

Once your photo is uploaded, if you right-click on it you should be given a number of size options, including a 'Medium 640' which is what you need. -

Galen shivers, more from the anticipation than the cold. He drinks the Nostrum Nerwen had given him, hoping that she was alive and well wherever her steps had taken her. OOC: Zeph, the potion in my inventory should be gone now, I used it on Vipera. -
Though this particular style of bat-arm does not have so many different uses, it does show as Percabeth mentioned that the designers and bean-counters at LEGO are open to new arm designs, where required and appropriate. An interesting question to ask would then be: do you expect new arm designs (allowing poses impossible to achieve with the standard minifig arms) to show up in the near future and would you welcome them?

This little party is off to a bad start, and I need to get one thing off my chest. Lieutenant Jones, will you never learn? I realise you're pretty excited to be part of this adventure, but you really need to sit down, stop talking, breathe deeply and listen. Observe. Don't eat any more chocolate. Yesterday you have said so many things unbecoming of a townie, and today without learning from your mistakes you're off on a new tangent like a headless chicken. Let me tell you about a couple of things that a townie shouldn't be doing. What's will the power hunger? You haven't proven that you're trustworthy, why should anyone choose you to confide in? Stop asking to be the centre of the universe. Bad advice. It's day 1, nobody should trust anybody. I understand the need to collaborate, but blabbing too fast is a recipe for disaster. Patience is a virtue. Directing the vig, directing the cop... Stop it! For one thing, your gut feelings are terrible. And you don't want to look suspicious for misleading our power roles. Now thank you for bringing up the case of Commander Walters. It is a matter which we explore today, but I advise that you don't get overexcited again and jump to conclusions too soon. For the sake of the Loyalists.

Yup, this is a known problem with IE9 -- check out this thread. Switching to compatibility mode will likely help!
