Disco86 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) The story about Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm at SoNE continues. The story so far: Join the Empire - Markus1984 Recruitment - Disco86 Swearing In - Markus1984 Foreign System - Disco86 Last Firing Exercise - Markus1984 Invasion Preparation - Disco86 The Invasion Begins - Markus1984 Endor Construction Site - Disco86 Mission Endor complete - Markus1984 Back from Endor - Markus1984 Searching in the Outer Rim - Prehistory - Markus1984 Searching in the Outer Rim - Disco86 Cantina Visit - Disco86 Memories - Markus1984 The day after - Markus1984 Briefing - Markus1984 With a lot of unanswered questions after the briefing, our protagonists are in the hangar again. The prototype Zero-G Troop Transporter, based on the RTT, awaits them and is ready to take off. Come on Markus, we are late again ! Keep calm, I am coming. Just had to pack something. These must be the Rebels they captured from a drifting rescue capsule. I don't know if they are from the station we are heading to, but they seem to be more than just confused... The visions... the pain... the suffering ! GRRRAAAHZZZCH ! These are really weird, we can only trust that there is no coherence with the station we are going to infiltrate... Hopefully not, these Rebels scare me. Come on ! There is nothing to see, get your arses on the transporter ! SIR - YES - SIR Ready for take off Copy that Good luck, you poor souls... The Zero-G Transporter left the ship and was heading to the mysterious Rebel station. Edited January 9, 2015 by Disco86 Quote
markus1984 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Fantastic! Looks more better as the WIP photos! The Story is well done and how you build the hangar and the transporter is really great! The best of the MOC are the Zero-G suits - love it! markus Quote
Jacob Nion Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) It seems that there' another great story coming up. I really like the articulation of your 0-G suits. A bit stiff and mechanically supported they really should work in space. And some way they are cute. P.S.: Great RTT! Don't mind if I bring mine into line. Edited January 9, 2015 by Jacob Nion Quote
Kristof Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Wow, do you polish your bricks to get that cool floor reflection? :D Amazing build though. I love the hangar and everything. You guys should consider making either a comicbook or even a movie! Quote
Kodan Black Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Those suits are AMAZING! They are just so perfect. I'm struggling to take the whole thing in... the whole hangar is impeccable. The scale, the details, the doors, the lighting, the figure posing! Fantastic build. The transporter looks like an up-armored version of the RTT. The floor pattern and overall scale of the build is just spot on. Really a great MOC and a compelling story too. Can't wait to see the next part, you've got me hooked! Quote
Chills Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I really like this story. This latest MOC is fantastic! The zero-G suits are my favorite part. I can't wait to see them in action attacking a Rebel ship. Quote
Graham Gidman Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I just love everything about this. Great work, Paul! Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 The hanger looks great, and I said on Flickr (I think it was on yours, not Markus's)how much I love those suits, but that ITT is a great idea since carrying normal Stormtroopers like the ITT would, looks stupid, but using it for zero-g suits is a fantastic idea. Disco86 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Thanks for all your kind comments ! Great to build SoNE again. Next part is coming soon... Wow, do you polish your bricks to get that cool floor reflection? Actually yes, they are stored stacked to avoid scratches and when I put them into a MOC, I am using glass cleaner to get it shiny and free of dust and fingerprints. Great RTT! Don't mind if I bring mine into line. Well, mine is inspired by yours, especially the front as you can see. So put yours on the battlefield ;) Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Oh yeah, at first I didn't realize there was a difference between an ITT and a RTT, just looked closely and there is, and yours is definitely a RTT, sorry... Quote
goatman461 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I really like light coming through the trans clear (I assume) plates. I'm having trouble seeing how you got that pattern, do you have any more pics that show that portion differently? The floor, the slopes in the wall, and the door look beautiful. And, again, great shot framing. Quote
TWP Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Good job on the hangar! Looks really Empire-like. The patterns are done very good I also like the ship, but that windscreen solution you used is a bit less smooth then I would've liked. I really like light coming through the trans clear (I assume) plates. I'm having trouble seeing how you got that pattern, do you have any more pics that show that portion differently? The floor, the slopes in the wall, and the door look beautiful. And, again, great shot framing. That's just stacked plates in a vertical position, I assume. Quote
Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Judges have awarded you 5 XP! Quote
Disco86 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Thanks for you kind comments ! And thanks a lot to the judges for giving me the max points Oh yeah, at first I didn't realize there was a difference between an ITT and a RTT, just looked closely and there is, and yours is definitely a RTT, sorry... That's no problem. As I understand it, the RTT ist just a subtype of the ITT. So every RTT is also an ITT, but not every ITT is a RTT I really like light coming through the trans clear (I assume) plates. Sorry for the late reply. The question was already answered, it is just stacked plates. But I am going to repeat this pattern in an upcoming build, so you may take a closer look at it. Quote
