I've removed the pics.
The studio setup was okay, but the size and lack of focus has forced me to remove them.
Redo the pics and make sure they're sharp and within the size limit.
I was merely giving examples.
Models already done and released by TLG aren't allowed to enter.
So no AT-AT, Snail Tank, Speederbike, Landspeeder or AT-ST - which is why I used them as examples of land-based vehicles.
Happy birthday.
May it be filled with cake and rattling boxes.
37... good to see that there's old men around
"With age comes wisdom"
"I just haven't found mine yet"
Hovercrafts are considered vehicles.
As long as it 'drives' instead of 'flies'.
Landspeeders, speederbikes, AT-ST, Snail Tank & AT-TE are all good examples on land-based vehicles.
Is that clear enough?
Your MOC is supposed to be posted within the 'Watto's Junkyard' - not as a reply to this topic.
A link to the photos is more than welcome.
If you have any doubts about the rules - you might consider sending a pm to one of the Dutch members here and have him/her help you in translating it.
I think you're right.
I've just bought Ahsoka's Starfighter and the Buzz droids legs are clearly different from the older version.
The new legs are definately from a different mix of plastic.
They're not as glossy as before and they seem to be softer - which is surely done to avoid the famous breaking of the clip.
It's just the usual conspiracy theory that TLG would start up a whole new production to make the figs for the magnets, using megablock plastic and therefore the figs would be different than the ones previously made. Setting up this new line of production using a different plastic is of course expected to be much cheaper than just making the robots fetch the regular parts from the stockhouse.
Can't you see it?
TLG is definately trying to rip us off and cheat us all the time.
Hopefully they feel the same, they should be just like any other minifig.
Simply because they are.
It has been posted several times by now.
I think we first saw this video 2 weeks ago or something like that.
This was posted too:
This is going in circles.
Why would stormtroopers go undercover?
Sounds far fetched to me...
I suggest you reread the first post and discover that yes, you may make up things - but you need to keep it within the Star Wars Universe or be damn good at explaining how and why it's linked to it.
Landspeeders and speederbikes would count as land based vehicles.
What do you mean gunship? Republic Gunship is a no no, small gunship like the one in the battle pack is a no no.
Landspeeders and speederbikes are future versions of cars and motorcycles and thus allowed. You don't see them ever fly up in the skies.
It has to 'drive' not fly.
I put them together.
But the makers are many.
If you're puzzled, then read the topic on the prize.
It says there who helped and who did what.
Good luck in the contest
Yes they do.
Building a Rancor being ridden by Jawas would count as a land-based vehicle.
The Jawas are being transported and thus the Rancor works as a vehicle.
But you'd easily be beaten if you'd do a tauntaun with Han Solo on it's back.
Remember there will be plenty of entries that you have to win over to get the prize.
As stated in the first post, you're free to either design a vehicle from the movies or use your imagination.
Remember that already done models (by TLG) aren't allowed neither are MOC's that you've already built.
A shame for BossK's truly awesome Hailfire Droid, but that has already been done by TLG.
This is the kind of picture quality requested:
