M'lord, your request to miniaturize the newly invented spy glass has proved unsuccessful. Our engineers are simply not capable of making the lenses any smaller. I have reassigned all my loyal engineers to create siege weapons should this fragile peace not last. I think we have a solution for the lava moat problem that plagued our ancestors. Prototypes of all shall be finalized soon.

Careful Taz, m'lord may think me a traitor! The tower is definitely my style of build, the greenery and river, however, that is the tricks I learned from Derfel Cadarn. I was going for a frame that looked like it was "folded" down from the rest of the MOC, kinda like the world would exist outside the small 32 x 32 baseplate. And it has mystical powers to boot! I am a closet castle fanatic... just don't tell the Classic-Pirates.com guys!

Very nice work those of you in Mitgardia! I love the stone and wood combo, and the walkway here is great. What makes this MOC for me is the details with the snow. Love how you did that.

Nice work. I like that the tower itself is at an angle, and the curved surface up top is great. I may have spring for a bit more vegetation on the rocks, but I am guessing nothing but evergreen trees can grow that far north!

The garrison has arrived at River Run Watchtower my liege. Though the river is only a few feet wide, River Run is a treacherous territory for any who attempt to brave the rapid river waters or the foot bridge into Avalonia. A statue of Orctanus Greffin, original “Defender of the Realm” continues to stand guard over all of Avalonia. Some men of the realm say the statue has mystical powers that grant the garrison at River Run Watchtower superior strength and endurance. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- To me the purpose of the watchtower is not only to be a first line of defense, but it should also be used to signal others if danger approaches. To accomplish both of these purposes I made the tower of stone for defense and made the tower tall and added a spy glass (must be the first one ever invented since in the real world it wasn’t invented until the early 1600s) and an outcropping with a fire pot to light a signal fire/smoke signal on top of the tower (without burning down the wood covering on top). A special shout out to our Guild Leader, Derfel Cadarn, since I basically stole all his landscaping techniques for this one.

If I am not the poster child for that issue, I am not sure who would be!

My Lord, the garrison shall arrive at River Run watch tower soon (there is even landscaping for a change!) A technical question to pass on to the judges though... the MOC is on a 32 x 32 baseplate, but I am intending to add a tile/SNOT border around it on all sides (probably two plates thick per side). I believe this type of thing is usually allowed, but I wanted to know what the policy is up front so I can modify the design if needed.

I agree that it has a very "official" TLG vibe to it. The flag looks pretty good too. Good advice from de Gothia about the landscapping. Landscapping is not my strong suit either, but it really does liven up a MOC, especially a medieval one.

Nice sinister feeling. Remember two things though 1) you must post this as a seperate thread if you are entering it into the build challange and 2) the watch tower must have your Guild's flag!

Avalonians- I know our great Lord is having discussions with the Guild Leaders (history Mods) on how to better organize everything since it might get messy fast. I think we should stay patient and we will hopefully get some direction from the powers that be. I know they share your concerns. I agree with de Gothia that we should put our guild in our signature. I will do that later tonight.

I think Jorgevorg had a good idea with the "swap meet" for those who have minifig parts to trade. The link is here. I was thinking one of the mods could link it in the first post in the thread since it has been moved to the buy/sell/trade forum. Remember, be careful when trading! Eurobricks is the conduit, but does not making any promises of the worthiness of any traders!

I will PM you Jorge with some things I am looking to trade. I too am looking for dragon knights, but maybe we have other things I need that we can swap. To all- I would like to get in reddish brown. Will trade black version of this. in Pearl Dark Gray, will trade Pearl Light Gray Weapons of same type. speckled version will trade black version And I woudl like these torsos to get these torsos: this one for a lion knight torso of the same type. this one comes in dk blue as well. Will trade the dk blue one for the dk gray one. this is a VIKING torso, there is a similar crown knight one with a crown on the belt buckle that I do NOT want. I also have multiple series 4 dark dwarves to trade, crownie dwarves and their shields/axes, PotC islanders, Pharoah's Quest mummies and all sorts of skellies and ninjas of all sorts.

We sure have recruited a lot of Pirate Lords into this guild... I hope all remember we are an honorable guild.
