For now, I am unlocking this thread, but I want to make this clear. 1. We are still discussing policy on producing illustrations of whatever nature from confidential images. 2. Because it is still pending, no discussion on whether or not we should allow illustrations created from confidential images or how to "work around" the rule. That is a staff decision and that is where it will be handled. 3. No arguments with any Mod on points 1 and 2 above... or anything else for that matter.

Thank you guys for being acting like idiots and forcing my hand. We are discussing the policy in this area. Clearly some people think it is okay while others think it is not. That is why we are discussing it and seeking clarity. While that is pending, let's not tell people how else to get around the rule by where else they can find the images. We will figure it out. If they are smart, they will find without the advertisement. Policy is the same as always on that. However since you are claiming to be in possession of those, there will be a lot of suspicion around that. I have temporarily removed the picture posts pending MOD decision on their appropriateness.

The site is about the MOCs and Lego products, not a sales space. Members with a history on EB are welcome in the buy/sell/trade area, but posts primarily about commerce outside that forum will have the links removed. In this case, I also question 3D printing a copyrighted part. It is something I think should best be left off this site. Though policy on this point may be pending. Thank you all for understanding.

You may want to be careful even with the jokes right now. In a way I am glad this happened. We tend to go crazy when someone reports inside info, even when it is not true. Be skeptical of anyone claiming to have inside info and calm down. We can discuss rumors and if they seem legit, but all the requests for PMs and E-mails was getting nutso. Looking back at this thread, there has been a lot of mod activity from me and others. It is clear this is important to many of you, but it is also clear our passions have often been getting the best of us. Please make sure we stay on topic and your behavior is inline with the site rules.

This is getting out of hand. The rule is EB won't host pictures that are confidential. This thread is for discussion of the possible LEGO 2016 Castle themes. If the catalogs are our there, it won't be long before the pics are. Seeing the images won't speed up the release date, so let's all relax. There will be plenty pf time to discuss how this theme will ruin castle forever when the pictures arrive. If you have an issue with a moderator I promise you attempting to public shame them will not get you anywhere but in the doghouse. You can PM Mike or another mod or report the incident using the report function. We're not turning this into a discussion on moderating, it is also off topic.

Watch yourself. Moderator's job is to moderate the discussion and keep it on topic. Requests for PMs are not on topic. We can't host the pictures on our site, so that is against policy. Simple as that.

Oh yes, they seem to be struggling mightily these days That is not too say they have always made the best moves, but I don't doubt their marketing department knows what it is doing these days.
