  1. Thanks for stopping by! Currently, the first story arc is drawing to a close. The guilds are at an uneasy peace with each other. There was a uniting enemy, Victor Revolword, but it is rumored he has been defeated (voting for the official lore of his destruction is going on now). Even with his defeat there are still bands of "Hand of Corruption" soldiers roaming the guild lands attempting to bring chaos to the land. I would call them an omnipresent enemy.
  2. It looks like you were being responsible and went with the medium x 800 size which meant the other dimensions could still be in excess of 600. In this case the dimensions were (800 x 772). They weren't WAY over, the sizes but they are easy enough to fix on Flickr that I just went ahead with it. For those who don't know, the sizes of each separate image on flickr end in a different underscore followed by letter combination before the .jpg. "_c" is the x 800 dimension while I "_z" is the x 640 dimension. I simply changed the "_c" to "_z" and poof, they were all within the site guidelines. No need to thank sincerely or otherwise for fixing images or post titles... it is why I have the regulator hat.
  3. Good work. Welcome back from the darkages. This has a very Medieval Market Village feel to it. Some of us MOCers ignore interiors too often, so good work including one here. A few of the pictures are a touch bigger than the site guidelines allow, but since they are Flickr, I can fix them for you (and I will) The topic title, though quite descriptive, seems a little long and strange. If you would like to change it, let me know!
  4. Yeah someone! But it ain't quantity, it's all about quality.
  5. I can see you are embracing Nocturnus and upping your MOC skills. This is most excellent!
  6. Okay Guildies- get out of here- let the History people speak! Take the smack back into the subforum... for now. Well right now the discussion in Historica is to start a new chapter where no previous history is required to play and with multiple categories (with some smaller like Vignettes) to get more people involved! The first story might even be focused in Nocturnus! Sounds like if we launch that, you might be in luck.
  7. Don't mind the guildies in this thread (who clearly don't get jokes about the insane number of LotR only people in here) trying to edit my poll, talk trash, or claim their guild is best when it really isn't, just vote and give some opinions about how the outsiders view the guilds. Edit- also look at those sweet shield tags! Don't you guys want one?
  8. As many of you History fans are aware, I have been actively promoting the Guilds of Historica, Eurobrick's exciting subforum. Right now is a great time to join a guild as the main challenged have wrapped up and we are looking into opening a second chapter of the land. A large part of this little poll/survey is to find out why people haven’t already joined the fun to see if there are changes we could make in GoH to bring more people into the world. Feel free to both vote in the poll (with my somewhat facetious choices) and voice your opinion here. For those of you who are not aware, the Guilds of Historica is a MOCing (and role-playing) paradise where EB members can tell stories and build MOCs for their chosen guild. What are these guilds? There is Mitgardia in the arctic north, filled with many great building role-models. Mitgardia has strong Norse influences and of course, builds many a MOC in the snow. The Mitgardians are often signified as strong, proud, and solitary folk represented well by the great bear, their guild colors are yellow and green. For those of you who like Game of Thrones, think of Winterfel and the Starks or maybe a great Dwarven realm from Lord of the Rings. Then there is Kaliphlin in the diverse, but largely arid south. Those who like to build MOCs in the desert with Middle Eastern or ancient Egyptian influences will be right at home. Kaliphlins are nomads, storytellers and traders by nature, traveling between city states peddling their wares and a story or two. Kaliphlin is often represented by the Lion, their colors are dark blue and red. For those of you who like Game of Thrones, think about the free cities beyond the Narrow Sea, or other cities in Essos such as Qarth. Don't forget about Nocturnus, in the eastern darklands. Nocturnus is a land full of wonder and has a vast array of wonderful creatures. Orks, cyclopes, minotaurs, and creatures and monsters of every sort can be found in the darklands. Sometimes misconstrued as “evil”, the Nocturnians seem fairly xenophobic and usually take great pride in keeping the other guilds out of their lands. Sometimes represented by a serpent, the Guild’s colors are red and gold. For Lord of the Rings fanboys, think Mordor with even more strange creatures! And for those of you who like the more "classic" castle land, then the western paradise, Avalonia, is the guild for you. Separated into three distinct areas, the plains, great forest and mystic isles, Avalonia is a lush paradise filled with tudor castles and green fields. Some of the guilds, who are jealous of Avalonia's beauty and success, call the Avalonians "treehuggers", but the Avalonians are great warriors and architects. Avalonia’s colors are sand green and dark green, their sigil is the dragon. Lord of the Rings fans might see this land as very Rohan-esque, though you’ll also find some Rinvendell like Elvish settlements as well. Though currently not open for membership, the land posses a fifth guild, developed during the course of the project, Varlyrio. With a sea fairing culture and Mediterranean influences, Varlyrio is still largely unknown to the other guilds and the island nation may become very important in the developing story. Varlyrio has no official sigil (yet), but its colors and gold and white.
  9. Love it Tazzy. Suh-weet!
  10. Not a virus DD, has happened to me as well. Seems like Shadows is looking into it.
  11. These pictures are outside the site guidelines. Please keep them to a max of 600 x 800. If you don't know how to resize them, click the link our index of tutorials.
  12. Very nice. good work.
  13. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Okay- a serious quiestion- does this seem like a question/introduction? No? I didn't think so. Let's move the smack talk to the Kaliphlin thread.
  15. Oh- the missing Kaliphlin friends part of the comment is clearly an oversight. I couldn't have been talking about the them. They never talk about how they supply the whole realm with everything they need and they always let their builds do the talking. Must have been another guild... must have been.
  16. Those who can't build make hollow threats and invent stories to trumpet their own importance. It is of no concern. Build on Avalonian, Mitgardian and Nocturnian friends, build on.
  17. Si- will get a gold shiled for sure, just a minoir issues since he already has 1 million tags.
  18. Remember all challenges with prizes are to go through EB staff. SK6 got this approved! Now get building.
  19. So who do you have as the leader of Avalonia?
  20. Because that would make perfect sense for MY title. Saying that means you are indeed stupid... Or a genius... Or a stupid genius.
  21. Still in MN? or going somewhere warmer?
