  1. I edited your post to add a bigger picture. It looks like you tried to upload a photo to Eurobricks. That is not the way to go. You should use the "image" button to add photos from external sites like Flickr to your posts. You'll find lots of helpful tutorials to get you started here: CLICK ME for tutorials. When you do get the linking part figured out, please be sure to keep the photos to 800 x 600.
  2. Not officially, but Mitgardia is often associated with a bear.
  3. I'm getting kind of tired of all the "he can't pronounce this right" or "he called so and so the wrong thing". Just cause we are more geeky than the reviewers doesn't mean we need to point it out! Let's stick to the set features and the like and get away from how to say Smaug or Gandalf. Is the reviewer guy with minifig a bit too positive? Does he gloss over part selection? Yes, let's talk about that, not the other stuff.
  4. Thank you very much. I think of all the sets this is the best one. Good army builder set with some good foliage. If you want the minis, here is your set!!
  5. Are you saying that cause you know something, or cause you have hope for something? I will add there has been a proposal for the next book of Historica by one of the guild leaders... we'll have to see how that develops.
  6. I would always have at least one picture or people tend to skip right past. hopefully now you'll get some readers.
  7. Yes, please don't bump an old thread unless you have something new and exciting to add.
  8. Yes. a 800 x 600 main image might be worth having as well.
  9. These photos are WAY outside EBs site guidelines. Please reduce them to be 800 x 600 or below.
  10. I wouldn't worry too much about how your pieces fit, you can make it work. Do you have a specific guild builder who you really like? Maybe join that persons guild to learn some of the tricks of the trade from them. There are also ongoing "projects" in a few of the guilds. Consider joining: Avalonia if you want in on the Albion Project Mitgardia if you want in on the Walls of Valholl Kaliphlin if you want to build Petraea University (can someone find me the link!!)
  11. These pictures are outside the set guidelines. Please reduce their size to 800 x 600 or less.
  12. These pictures are WAY too big! Please resize them to a maximum of 800 x 600
  13. Well the photography is certainly excellent!! Good work m'boy!
  14. What a strange and fantastic story. Really is the star of your entry.
  15. Let's try NOT to bring up threads that are several months old. This isn't the worst necromancing of a thread ever, but in general it is best to discuss current MOCs and projects.
  16. Does sound a little like jelly bean knights to me as well. No LotR means a 130 USD price point is likely a dud I think- but who knows. Or LEGO could just make a few Guilds of Historica sets! That would be awesome.
  17. Well I am no Guild dictator here- but I can see where the other leaders heads are here.
  18. With challenge 6 over, should Varlyrio be opened for membership?
  19. Uh oh. Sounds like those guys have bad intentions. Nice build Nemo.
  20. Nice intro. I like it. Those Chima wolf guys work well with the wolfpack flag. Where to settle... where to settle indeed.
  21. I would not say things like this because you are BOUND to get 100 replies about how much less sets sell for in the US versus everywhere else in the world or how we get some of the license themes first. It looks to me like you signature might be a tad bit on the large side. Consider shrinking it down before a MOD sees it and gets grumpy!
  22. There are issues with LDD or any digital version for purposes of scoring. It removes photography as a skill for judgement and allows a builder access to parts and quantities they could not get otherwise. It also allows for physics defying structures and connections that are unfair to other builders using "real" LEGO. However, I do NOT want to exclude people from participating in building merely because they do not have access to their bricks. Maybe a practical solution would be to allow LDD for free builds but limit the maximum number of points they could score to something that is below what "real" LEGO would score or limit the number of LDD entries accepted from a builder. I say build with LDD for FREE BUILDS (though the challenges are over for the immediate future they will NOT be accepted for those) but know the points will be restricted when we figure it out.
  23. I sometimes use a stand in volunteer. A ladder with the cardboard attached via bungee cords! As for the actual build, I like the shape. I think it works well. Good job again. You're really getting much better at this!
  24. Good work Kai... now if only you could get rid of that shadow... looks like you got plenty of light for this build. Did you take it outside? I would guess the answer is yes. If so, try taking the shots in the shade next time or with someone holding a big piece of cardboard or something to block the sun and get rid of the shadow!
  25. Sorry I can't make it this year... I have a lot of stuff we could slap on that table!!
