This is probably the most stunning MOC I've seen for a long time, and the most Sci-Fi-ish too. But since this is from the same guy that made... ...the Goliath it's hardly surprising. What's even more impressive is that the treads have suspension and are powered. I'm hoping that he eventually posts a picture of it next to a human as I'm struggling to grasp the scale. This is the kind of MOC that I dream of making one day. I've ranted in the past that some MOCs are just impressive because they are huge, but this is that and more. The airport and "Aero 500" concept is cool, and the cute pizza store is just a laugh. What's especially cool about this MOC is the range of pieces; I can see pieces from the last year... and I can see pieces from 20 years back. I'm off to break all my sets and finish off my space station to one-up him... Gee man, give me some time! That's often half the problem. I try not to frontpage anything is someone just posted something there.

We don't normally frontpage non-members MOCs, but this MOC by Flickr member DeGobbi is just too stunning to resist. Read and see more here. It's got powered treads too...

Parts needed for little devil technic rc car
Siegfried replied to legoman777's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
You bumped your sales topic two times over two days. This is really selfish and annoying as when you bump your topic up another is bumped down. Please show more patience in future... and be prepared for the possibility that no one is interested. -

Go on, bump this a third time. I dare you. -
I notice Oola is still flaunting her bare bottom; she's a naughty Twi'lek.
-
That's really beautiful. To my embarrassment I didn't know you were doing a story; I'll give it a look! EDIT: 2005? Was that the last time you worked on it? If so, it sounds like my neglected comic!

seeking lego masters to help with a model

As a guess... -
Yes, that's how I got mine thanks to some very good EB friends. They are very nice and I wish you luck finding someone with a spare one.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!

They're allowing reviews. That's just silly. -
Overpriced. Between $25 and $50.

There's no option to turn that feature off per group. Even so, I'm not saying you're wrong; I've seen odder things happen on IP Boards.
-
Don't post the same topic in two forums; it's selfish, annoying and rather silly. I've merged them.

It doesn't mean much. There's stuff that I know that he doesn't, and there's stuff that Hinckley, Bonaparte and Jipay know that I don't. We're a team afterall. I am better looking than Bonaparte and Jipay, but Hinckley beats us all.

I'm with you! I hope TLG bring back the old ones. I do have at least 5 of them though.

Happy Birthday to my favorite dinosaur!

It's not new.

OK, but I've always found the back of Batgirls mask to be special! It's just so cool how her (often red ) hair flows out the back....
-
Sorry to bump this, but it's in your sig and I was marveling at your work (especially Killer Moth! )and was disappointed that the images are gone. Can you fix this... please?
-
That's so near perfect! It's such a shame that TLG didn't make one. Does the mask come off? What's it like from the back? Me too!

Welcome to EB! "Harrison Bored"; is that any reference to his lazy acting style in Ep 6?

Since this was front paged I felt guilty so I've expanded the review! So was I, and that's why I figured it was time to find out! To answer your question they seem strong to me. I've been playing with them all day... Yes, while I would recommend this to AFOL collectors only, they seem well designed. What were the resin ones like? I was just going to get two, but I couldn't resist buying Darth Talon. I think she'll be usable in a fantasy setting as a demon/imp! Decide for yourself! What, no "woot"? Yeah, I think these are far superior. I just used parts I had. The brown arm gave me some trouble, but I eventually borrowed one from a monkey! I do agree though that it would be nice if they sold them as complete figs... or at least complete torsos.

I just bought some Arealight Twi'leks and I thought I'd share some quick photos of them! They are very well moulded, have great colour matching, and the printing is excellent. The waisted torso is an especially cool concept that I wish TLG would do; if you're going to print breasts and hips you might as well use a different piece! You can find more photos of these lovely ladies on the Arealight Flickr page. Here you can see inside the torso. It's much the same as the TLG parts, but with a hip. I've given it a few test squeezes and it seems strong. What appears to be a moulding mark is visible at certain angles. It isn't overly noticeable normally. "Two against one? No fair!" As a bit of trivia, all of the Twi'leks are based off "real" characters. White: Lyn Me, Max Rebo Band dancer in Return of the Jedi Special Edition Blue: Aayla Secura, Jedi Master Red: Darth Talon, Sith Apprentice in Star Wars: Legacy comics. (Never read so I don't know any more.) Orange (supposed to be yellow and red): Ayy Vida, General background nobody in Attack of the Clones that someone seems to like a lot. Green: Oola, The rancors lunch Also I bought a blank torso and some hair. Looks very standard on the inside. It's hard to see but there seems to be a "makers mark" on the inside of the inverted stud. A stylised "A" and "L"? Some of the hair pieces have a relatively obvious mould mark on the top. (You can see it in this photo.) It isn't a major concern though, and I suspect it'll improve with handling/fondling. Even so, I highly recommend Arealight's work. (If people want to post stuff made with Arealight parts feel free.)
