  1. You need to ask in this topic. But I can tell you that the answer will probably be no; you're too new a member. You can't just join and expect to be running games 30 minutes later...
  2. Oh. No, it's supposed to be a sig-fig related contest... otherwise it's be in "Licensed" or "Star Wars". My mistake.
  3. It's too big... Yep!
  4. Oh. Thanks for the update oh mysterious voice one. Would this be climbable? If so I want look to try and see if it goes anywhere. If so, I want to climb it!
  5. Oh! In that case I'd like to do that too; and look for more!
  6. I just checked; Knights were never blue. As for the Wiki page, yes, I used that as a guideline when picking ArchDuke. I'll look into it. Less talk, more action! Yes, there is a new rank... and if/when someone becomes ArchDuke they'll be another new rank...
  7. Oddly Brickset class it as "Stationery".. Good idea! I'll do a review soon.
  8. I've thought the same but I also think that it's easy to judge. I've never tried. I tend to use a spare 8x16 baseplate. No, it's under "LEGO® Exclusives"
  9. Believe it or not, this has been a dream part of mine for a while, and thus I bought one of these at my earliest opportunities. As it turns out that was about six months after release and by then it was half price. (It still is.) In any case, on with the review! Here it is. The red colour is a good one as it allows the black printing to be easily readable. The reverse side is a bit of a letdown. I think they should have found some use for it... but I must confess that I can't think of anything aside from technic ratio formulas. Here it is compared to a mini-fig so you can get an idea of its size. In use. It works well for measuring axels and beams of both varieties. It's less effective when using it to measure height as you can't sit it flush with the bricks. (The leading edge should have been a half-stud-gap width.) But the uses don't stop with LEGO; you can use it to measure anything you want! In summary this is a great tool for measuring LEGO... but it really is at it's most useful when building technic models from PDF files. (Which is mostly why I wanted it.) In most other cases TLG either have 1:1 comparisons or have colour differences to avoid confusion. Thus I think this has very limited appeal.
  10. At last we know! Alibi? I'm telling the truth. I think this is a good idea. Have we investigated the central altar? Those arches look suspicious....
  11. Must... resist... going... out...
  12. I know what you meant; same answer. But why can't you just avoid the issue and make it a two story vig with you on top? It's going to be very unclear without an explanation if you do it as your describing.
  13. Slow me just realised it's your work! But yeah, I see that as legal too.
  14. I agree. I've never be a pure-purist, I just like quality. It's why I recently tried out some custom parts and for the most part I was impressed. You've lost me here though. To me modifying parts ruins the re-usable aspect of LEGO, and few people can do it good enough. I agree.
  15. You're kidding; why would one do that? It's a Linux server.
  16. Either would I, but it's a fact that China can do good stuff. It's also a fact that if not watched close enough quality can drop; for example the lead paint in Thomas the Tank Engine toys a few years back. True, but it's not like they invented that one little brick. ...and more!
  17. Indeed I do! I'll correct my post. Well it'll be 84 years now... Well it's actually 32,000 now...
  18. Sorry to argue, but I don't agree. Many products that are seen as being of good quality are made in China, such as iPods, so China can do quality if they try. The fact is that China for some reason don't try hard to compete with LEGO outside of Asia.
  19. Well I personally would be against it if they couldn't be used with my existing collection. But assuming you would be cool with that, from a non-lawyer point of view, I'd say they'd be semi safe providing they we're compatible with LEGO minifigs. It would depend a lot on the country of origin; if it came from the USA I think the legal system would protect the newbies, but I think they'd lose if they were European. (We all know the answer about China. )
  20. At your current rate you'll get there in 42 years.
  21. Yeah, so was I! But legally they can't so this will never happen. Svelte is so smart.
  22. Actually that's a fair point. While TLG have failed to prove the stud is their property, it's clear that the Minifig is. I wouldn't buy another brand if it meant going for a fig replacement.
  23. The problem with selling MOCs is the price of the pieces is expensive already so when you add the time and effort it's hard to make a profit. For example...
  24. Yes, I was serious! Indeed. ...and if somebody does get there I'll just create the next logical rank; Prince at 16000! What's next? Crown Prince at 32000 King at 64000
  25. I'd buy the other brand as well and ditch LEGO if I felt it was inferior; I'm horribly fickle! Even when I vote I have no set party, and I used to always buy Intel chips, but when all they sold was P4s I switched to AMD. But sad to say there is no competitor. M$g! Bl*ks target kids, their pieces look like mis-moulds, and their figs make me want to puke. They aren't much cheaper either. So for now TLG has me by the short and curlies...
