  1. It's a good set, but I wouldn't pay full price for it... nor would I buy a second hand one without a good inspection first. $200 USD seems overpriced for a used copy.
  2. Great work! As usual you've completely nailed it. You've even included the cable cutters! Have you ever tried posting a MOC without saying what it is supposed to be? I bet people would have no trouble knowing what it was. Perhaps. I think it's more the scale; many AFOLs don't care much for MOCs that don't fit figs.
  3. Happy Birthday SuvieD!
  4. Lavatraz? I've seen 8191 in K-Mart.
  5. Generally it's the reverse; a theme is popular so we run a competition. We're not trying to create popularity afterall; if a theme is popular it'll stand up on it's own. Even so, a Western competition isn't out of the question... but I'd be no where near the scale of Pillage the Village.
  6. Well yeah, but obviously he doesn't want to do that. While you might think that having a topic like this is silly, I think making a useless one word reply is even more so.
  7. I found some of the new Power Miners in my local K-Mart. Oh... I'd buy them on half price!
  8. For those that don't read the front page, the contest has been extended about two weeks and there's now a prize.
  9. We've had some great entries so far in Whack-a-Fig II... including this great one from Sir Dillon! As an extra bonus we've added the obvious prize; a LEGO Minifigure Ice Cube Tray! Also the deadline has been extended to the 14th of April. Get your revenge!
  10. Yes, but do realise that you may get voted down because of it. Errr.... ahhh.... err... OK. But you still must make a normal entry.
  11. This question has been answered before. If you want to ease the load on admins a good start would be looking back at least a few months to see if a question has been asked and answered before. I have merged your topic with the last one. But in short, at this stage this is the way it is.
  12. Not a prob; by some odd co-incidence, mine arrived today. (From S@H.)
  13. Sure they are.
  14. Did I miss anything? I have a pack of Panadeine Fortes if you'd like one or two. Hmmm, that reminds me; I'm hungry!
  15. Oh I do that at least 20% of the time! I then look over and find I used the wrong part somewhere, left the part in a bag, or something equally silly. Once I ordered the part... only to realise a week later I was wrong. For this reason I tend to ignore minor issues.
  16. It's rare. I'd say 1/50 sets I've bought has a part missing or a part defect. TLG are generally happy to help.
  17. ZO6 has reviewed the classic LEGO set, 5956 Expedition Balloon. Some (like me) love this set for the big Zeppelin piece, others think that it's just not LEGOish enough. Share what you think!
  18. The timing of this review is quite interesting; after years of considering I bought the Zeppelin cannister and it's on it's way right now! (I plan to make a MOC with it.) I love this set, and I wish TLG would do something similar again. It was a great idea to have something that's too hard to do cheaply in LEGO as a storage box. In reality this is no different to one-piece digger buckets. The packaging of this set is especially cool! Thanks for the great review! I have that and I love that set too! Bring back Adventures!
  19. Errr.... Bricklink. I'm moving this to BSTF.
  20. Very true! I should note though that you can't transfer hard drives between system. Anyone playing FFXIII?
  21. Well I thought that to but...
  22. ...yeah! I like that idea. It would look great with a corner and a straight. You could then design the straight so it complemented the corners better. (Sadly I can't make that from spare pieces.)
