I must confess so was I. We got enough entries to make it work, but I was expecting twice the number. I think I killed a lot of the fun with my insistence of 8x8 vigs which I suppose makes me a party-pooper.

I think I have a new favourite review. I love the old photo of you, and your analysis of the set and the old scale is an appropriate touch. The 4x4 on the roof looks hilarious, as does your child-play re-construction. I used to really want this set as a kid, and I still want it now. (I could build something similar today, but I'd need to substitute the lift.) Thanks for sharing! Tire pump?

It just come to my attention that nnenn was involved in a tragic car accident that claimed his life. There's more details on The Brothers Brick. It's a sad loss for the LEGO community, and my thoughts are with his family.

Often there's little point with LEGO sets; TLG are devious in that they often use new/rare parts/colours making it hard to create the set from existing parts. But it has happened; the Holiday Train was available about six months prior to release.

Actually only really old history goes in History. If we had everything "historic" in History people would be putting Bros MOCs in here too. I'll move this to Other Themes. (I can't comment on the MOC as the pictures aren't approved yet. Perhaps you could deeplink a few?
