  1. As Mr. Mandalorian said, it's just copied from the movie; Microsoft have product placment deals in most movies and TLG aren't supposed to remove them. For example... Besides, there is no Halo movie, nor will there be for at least a year, if not 3.
  2. Great work as always! I think you've captured the look quite well. I especially like the simple muzzle brake solution. Are you deliberatly mixing bley and old grey? It looks good eitherway.
  3. Very true! However it wouldn't be very collectable then eh? Not something that I care about, but many others do.
  4. This isn't an accusation to anyone, but let's not turn this into an "insult someone elses opinion topic"....
  5. I voted "no" for the same reasons as Hinckley. I also agree with him on polls; a yes/no produces better data. People who "aren't sure" or "don't know or "don't care" should just think more and vote later! (By the way, just because something is big doesn't mean it needs an image thats 1,712 x 2,288 pixels... )
  6. True, but the Death Star set is actually 2 different Death Stars so it isn't the same place, just a highly similar one. (Anyone ever wonder why the same person who styled the Cloud City carbonite chamber seemed to have also designed the Emperors chamber on Death Star II? ) If they made the Tatooine set a one level like the Cloud City set, but quartered like the Death Star, I think it would work. Junk Yard | Cantina __________________ Lukes | Jabbas ...but it was just a silly idea of one that I would consider buying. For example, I would have no interest in buying a Geonosis set. Perhaps a Coruscant set? Jedi council room, Palpatines chamber, Palpatines secret room (no smutty thoughts you!), Jedi launch bay, Padme's room, that pub where the guy is selling death sticks, Dexters cafe, the libary, Jedi training room.... actually that could work.
  7. I need a cold shower.
  8. Did he send this via PM? If so, who is he? I think he's a fake, and I find this line funny; "There is alot of evidence to suggest that there is also a space monorail (6990-1 or 6991-1) and/ or a red train set included." If he had a monorail he would know, and why use the "-1" notation anyway? It sound like he's be browsing Bricklink/Peeron but knows little of what he is selling. Yes. I think that's what he has done. It's all on a free site too...
  9. As much as I would like a daddy for Rotta, I probably wouldn't buy a Jabba's palace playset. I liked the Death Star one as it covered a lot of pivotable scenes and filled a few holes in my minfig collection. (I needed a C3PO, a Obi-Wan, a Ep4 Leia... plus the new Vader and Emperor are beautiful!) Thus any playset would need to be of equal importance and have wanted figures. My best idea would be a Tatooine set; you could include the cantina, Hutts palace, the junk yard and Lukes house....
  10. It's a good MOC and the photos are pretty good too! Err.... why?
  11. Those were great pieces. I wish they'd bring them back...
  12. Updated! Sorry for the delay guys; I've been a bit busy...
  13. ...sorry my mistake. Both of the Death Star lifts use string. But I found the design I meant anyway.
  14. Would a Scissor lift like this do? If not, the Death Star has two; one geared the other using string.
  15. Well, first off the set has been reviewed, Dr. S did a great review months back. However I do sort-of agree with you about this set. Since it's based on the Viking hull it wasn't going to be a realistic ship... and that's why I haven't bought it. I only have room for one more ship (or so I tell myself), and I've been holding out for a real sail ship. This set is not one, but it does have some good parts in it and I think it's good for someone that doesn't own the Viking Longboat. Since I do, I'd only buy it on sale...
  16. Thanks for an exceptionally good review of such a small set.
  17. Ahh, I love these promotional sets. This one has some rare parts and I'd buy it on sight! Thanks for the great review; like WhiteFang I love the inset photo.
  18. I've only tried with the new trains.... and I don't recomend it! I was trying a brick elevation per track and it only worked with no load.
  19. Such a nice set! The figs are especially good... and I'd love that flag! I might have to BrickLink that! Thanks for the review.
  20. I bought this set last week and I love it. I even put on the LASER bar sticker! Interestingly in book 4 of the instuctions on page 70 it shows Chase holding an Uzi. It must have been a late change... Well you convinced me to buy the set so we're even.
  21. Thanks everyone for your responses. It does seem that even the people that like numbered and sorted bags generally don't want to pay extra for it. I suspect TLG did some surveys of their own and found the same conclusion! I probably should have been clearer. I said... ...but I should have clarified that I meant numbered and sorted for each module of a set. I think the sets that come with, for example, a bag of pins are not sorted as such, they are just bagged straight after being counted. No research needs to be done if this would make buiding easier and thus while they are grouped, I don't really see them as being sorted as such. Sorry though for being unclear. I'm not one of those people who like searching for pieces. I used to be, and I was quite proud of it. But over time and for various reasons (including piece damage and time) I became a sorter. Like wise I enjoy building sets, but not looking for pieces. But LEGO is one of those hobbies where different people find their own aspects of enjoyment.
  22. CopMike will probably know it too.... Great work Ambassadors!
  23. I voted "Above average" for both. The Sets I have the AT-TE and the RGS and I think they are much better than the last release. The AT-TE should have been articulated and I'm perplexed about the Bacta Tank in the RGS, but I have no major complaints about either set. The nose art for the RGS is beautiful.... The Movie I enjoyed this way more than Episode III. So many things have been done right at last. For example; Jedi have been shown to beat the destroyer droids The Super Battle Droids were given a deeper voice The AT-TE gets more screentime The droids have good dialog at last I have been stunned at how badly this has been insulted in reviews. (On the other hand, I didn't like Dark Knight and that got good reviews... But that's a bit off topic!) As Mr. Mandalorian said, people expect a cinema CGI movie to be something, and it seems they didn't want this. For me however it was what I expected. I found the character design a bit odd, but I soon got over it. The battles made more sense than most of the previous movies, and the clones are given a bigger role. I also thought the voice actors were very good; I was unsure if some were real or not while watching it! I'd rather watch a CG Anakin anyday; I never liked Hayden Christensen's performance. (Ewan McGregor is another story...) Since most of the lightsaber fights were CG enhanced (not to mention the sets, ships and actors) they might as well do all future Star Wars movies this way!
