  1. We're both droids...
  2. Try this.
  3. Yes. Sorry Mr. M... Happy Birthday to you and the others! He has his own topic!
  4. That H39 unit is in prime condition, a real bargain! Happy Birthday Hinckley! We'd be lost without you.
  5. Care factor=0 We have an auto-ban for people who argue with moderators. You have been warned. Consider yourself lucky.
  6. All the more reason to let you keep this one for a while!
  7. Gee you're a nosey one. It's just notes that KimT uses. Nothing exciting. It's normally hidden and for some reason he must have made it visable for a bit. Mystery solved.
  8. It's not a 2009 set. Supposedly it was given away with the Daily Mirror in the UK.
  9. ...lurched forward. However his foot kicked Sinners bucket. That was too much for the walrus and he exploded with the force of 127735 ninjas and the statue was reduced to dust. "What an odd adventure" thought Sinner. "It seems awful like the old-continue game and not very Halloweeny at all." He sighed, and started to sweep up the dust...
  10. No. The remote is smarter than that. It has a polarity switch for both toggles; thus you just reverse one. Interestingly I just got this set last week, converted it straight away, and had fun playing "Reaper vs Bulldozer" with my kids.
  11. As predicted by others, here I am to say; "Where's the bl$&dy Walrus?" Great MOC!
  12. Welcome back! Why spend more for less?
  13. Hmmm. It's off to a good start... but it's missing something. "The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus" How many pages will this one be?
  14. But I was the first to make a topic about hints, and I made that with only the cutlass hint. Those guys who made topics after mine when the evidence was starting to add up are side show phoneys; I'm the real herald!
  15. Welcome! Thanks for taking the time to join!
  16. Too true! I've been considering doing the same... but I never have as I'd like the links to change too and that would be too complicated. But I think the tutorial would be appreciated by some.
  17. Thanks everyone for your comments. When I designed this I wanted a 90 degree bend. I might re-build it later with a 45 degree lock; that would let the waist be thinner at the top. When I buy the movie I'll be looking for pointers. There's a lot people don't know about walruses! I wanted to make the scene bigger and better but I ran out of pieces. Ahhh but I cheated. I built the new inside from spare parts so I could work on it without trashing the original model. I then removed body panels and legs from the set and put them on my inner frame. Thus there was zero risk if I couldn't get it to work. Interestingly I wanted to leave in the handle as I found it useful. It ended up being too hard so I gave up and designed a completely custom center. I was crying in that scene... It's some of the most artistic CG I've seen for a long time. I love well animated machines. When Yoda came to the rescue with loads of AT-TEs walking in the background I missed most of the dialog there as I was to busy looking at the waist joint movement. It's more than that. The set is very stable, and is easy for kids to pose. Mine requires you to ensure that the legs will take the weight, and it hates smove surfaces. To design this so it was flexible and as stable would be hard. I tried, but I don't think it could be done passively. I plan to work on this again soon so I'll be giving it another go. I think the key is re-designing the center legs. I didn't want to do that last time as it would have been too many changes at once.
  18. Well I would have if I noticed this update! Sorry. You really have to stop posting in my 3am! I tend to go to bed at about 2am, and I don't always have the time to check the entire night of posts... Anyway, it's a shame you decided to break it, but I do agree that it isn't your best work. The right hand side looks good but the left is lacking. What's the cow doing on the roof? Even so, I might take your "build ASAP" concept and re-build my town. It's buried under parts at the moment due to a room re-arrangement anyway. I miss playing with my trains...
  19. Awww shucks. I'll have to add you to my card list.
  20. Err... that set is so old it's stocked in my town....
  21. Freaky. Please note that if this topic strays from the MOC itself it will probably be closed.
  22. Nope!
