Actually that is the stance of Eurobricks. But since reviews often involve a lot of work and provide different or even better photos and a new first hand opinion they deserve extra exposure. Thus we tend to allow people to create new topics for a new review. In most other cases we prefer to keep discussion to existing threads. Since it's the 28th January in Australia already it was on Channel 7's "Sunrise" program today. (It's one of those breakfast shows.)
