  1. Exactly. Thanks for saving me some effort iamded *sweet* . Topic Closed.
  2. Indeed! I assembled on of the larger Duplo castles and it had far too many steps. Where? :'-)
  3. Hey! I am the one who answered your question first! I even did it in 20 minutes instead of 3 hours. :-| Where is my credit! :'-(
  4. Well Hinckley, what can I say? As I have said before, this is a beautiful MOC. It was what I thought you should make as you have a much better sense of style than me. :-D I especially liked how you did the roof; I have never seen that done before. It makes them into 57 degree slopes! X-D You did a much better job using the rock pieces than I did. I wanted to make mine into a rock wall, but I was out of pieces by then. On that subject, to be honest, I was more than a tad grumpy at the time that you chose to not use any of the orange pieces, and made a far smaller MOC. I was expecting to be beaten on style... but not because I used more pieces and colours. A few people even commented that yours blended the colours better which annoyed the begeezzies out of me. But I think Gylman put it best; I thought the goal was to mix & match, which is what I did... :'-( I suppose that is the weakness of contests like these. ....or maybe I'm just a bad loser! :-$ EDIT: I'm not saying that mine is better than yours (although I am saying mine is bigger than yours), I'm just saying that it seemed that I was judged by many for doing what I thought we were supposed to be doing... Past hurts aside, it is interesting to see your build process as you did change your mind many times. We build completely differently. Like Staunch, inside Strife is a technic spine which I built early on and then build around it, adding detail later. You seem to make bits of detail first and see how you can work them in. I too had some trouble integrating the Slave 1 cockpits, it's a shame that you couldn't get it to work the way you wanted. It would have looked more like a "space-castle" then. I would have liked to see a royal family in a space castle. I think the fighter was the best part as it. I didn't realise that the side panel lifted up. :-$ (I like the pilots name! :-P ) So was I. :'-( I think the FFLSMP will need to be re-proposed as it has been too long since it was last updated. Additionally, many people (including me) would have used the pieces that were previously free. Due to the lack of success in generating interest I am concerned that it would become another failed contest so now I would prefer to do either a weight limit contest, or a contest where you have to build something out of a list of pieces. More on the latter later. X-D
  5. MrCustomizer there is nothing wrong with reviving old topics, epecially if they are a MOC... but reviving an old news topic to make a silly comment is not on. Don't do it again.
  6. Well it has to be better than the last two... :-X
  7. Cool! I really like the contrast of smooth and detailed. *sweet*
  8. I used to think "She's like the wind through my tree" was "She's like the wind through my dreams". Perhaps I should cry less when listening to the song... 8-|
  9. :-D Great idea! I still like the song... :-$ She's like the wind through my tree She rides the night next to me She leads me through moonlight Only to burn me with the sun She's taken my heart *sing* But she doesn't know what she's done! *sing* Gets me every time. :'-)
  10. Wow! It's the interview that never ends! :-D Great job everyone! I have a question: Have you found a BrickShelf alternative, and if not, what do you want? If you want just a host I could offer the use of some of my server space... :-)
  11. All fixed now. *sweet*
  12. Duplicate topic....
  13. Welcome to Eurobricks! We're so friendly we even welcome BZP members! X-D
  14. How about LUGNET? X-D
  15. Welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* The only Brickset reviewers that I don't like are the ones who do reviews without owning the set. *wacko* EB is free... and Brickshelf is freeish at the moment. But no one knows the long term plans of Brickshelf... I will be scaling back my BrickShelf usage now that I have a better website. ;-)
  16. I came here as Eurobricks is not as stuffy or single-minded as some other Lego sites. It's the one-stop-shop for Lego fun! *wub* Hey! It's not legal! It's just un-enforced. :'-(
  17. Incorrect. Please discuss the new sets here. Topic closed
  18. Sorry to be a negative nancy, but is there a good reason why you want to splinter the current topic?
  19. Sorry. I'm a party pooper aren't I. :-$ While I appreciate the thought, did you look at that photo? That shark is a gonna man! I'm having fish tonight! X-D (Nice pic SW4J! *sweet* )
  20. Gee... Brickbitz has our scoop from last year... :-| Even so, TLC has asked us to remove images from this line. Please don't re-post them until later. *sweet*
  21. Have you seen Gackt live? You would have more hope of understanding then... X-D I'd buy it... where did you find it? EDIT: Did you find it here?
  22. Well since I am Australian I can't. For example we are being charged $100 AUD for the Rogue Shadow which is absolutely insane for a set with under 500 pieces. Especially when you consider that black is the cheapest colour for Lego to make. The only must-have Star Wars set for me this year is the Rebel Scout Speeder, and that is $20 AUD. The current exchange rate is about 0.88, but Lego seem to think it is 0.50. :-|
  23. Wow! You da man Chuck! *sweet*
  24. Personally I mostly sort by colour, but some parts (such as technic, motors, mini-figs) I sort by type. When my storer becomes too full I subdivide... and that's where it gets hard! :-P If your method isn't there I can add it for you... (Please don't add or ask for "other".) EDIT: Added "Colour AND Type"
