  1. Ideally, I would like to see the characters released be related to ones that are out. So, since we have a Clone Wars Obi Wan, I'd like to see Anakin, and then Ashoka. Since we have Luke and Vader, I'd like to see The Emperor (with a proper cloth hood, don't cheap out like on Kylo Ren.), Leia, and then of course Han and Chewy would follow suit somehow. If we have the Emperor, then bring in yoda and a royal guard, so on and so forth. Of course, a lot of characters that I would like to see would be simple rehashes. Plo koon, Kit Fisto, Boba Fett, Mace Windu, Rex, etc would be slight modifications of what we currently have, but I'd still like them. (And Mace would have a purple lightsaber, so there's that.)
  2. I still haven't gotten to picking up wave 2, but they definitely look good together, I've really been loving this line as well and I hope it survives for years to come. I do hope we get some more TCW inspired figures, I would love to get an Anakin and Ashoka. (Actually, do we have a wishlist for Star Wars constraction figs on here? I think that may be an interesting thread to start.)
  3. The most annoying argument I ever hear is that either the PS4 or One has better graphics than the other. While the PS4 is a slightly more capable system, the actual difference in hand is hardly noticeable. (And, when you only have one console, you get used to the graphics anyway, just like getting used to a larger television screen or phone screen.) I did at one point own both a PS4 and One, however ultimately I will always be an Xbox player because I have been a fan of Halo & Forza since the start, and most of the people I game with are on Xbox. And yeah, I am too used to the Xbox controller. I used to like the playstation controller (in the PS2 days) but after handling the Xbox controller I just can't go back. Of course, I also have a Cyberpower Raven X6 300 (which I own due to my graphic designing), which can also handle any game, mod, etc that I throw at it at max settings, so I'm part PC Master Race and part console player. Eventually I plan to get a proper desktop rig, but that's not a top priority right now.
  4. I've been looking further at the photos and something is bothering me- where exactly is the batcomputer? I see a lot of "machines" with stickers on them, but to be honest I cannot recognize any of them as main components of the batcomputer. (I don't see things like the battranslator, batscanner receiver etc)
  5. But really could anything beat the Piraka rap
  6. The designs of the Masters led to more unique looking body shapes- a feminine Gali, a wide brute Onua, uh short Pohatu, "hunchback" Lewa, well armored "snowsuit" Kopaka, and well Tahu was more generic, which still set him apart from everyone else. Due to the gimmick this year, there is hardly any variation to the overall sharpe of the sets. The only noticeable difference is that Tahu is slightly taller, and Onua is more heavily armored. (Onua I haven't had a problem with, I do prefer him to 2015's) you can slap as many elemental themed crystals you want on a Toa, that doesn't change their stature. Don't assume you know anyone's reason for having an opinion. I don't like 2016 nearly as much as 2015 but it's not because I'm nostalgic, it's because I saw the potential that Lego had for this new series, and I had all of these ideas for how the second year could go, and it ended up the exact opposite of what I wanted. I'm not a 2015 elitist, there's many things about 2015 I didn't like either, but I flat out do not like the Toa. Even had we not gotten 2015's sets, and had gone straight from Hero Favtory to 2016, I would be disappointed in these sets. But yeah, to echo others, my distaste for these hasn't changed, but that was already said in reviews. I don't see the point in these arguments because it always goes around in a circle, if you like the sets and I don't or vice versa, that's the way it's going to go. Telling people to change their opinion won't do a damn thing, it is their own judgement of the sets once they have them in hand.
  7. I don't think bionicle should be a certain % of anything, I think it should be what makes sense with the set. Being that the other two themes I enjoy besides Bionicle are Technic and Star Wars, I'm certainly used to technic elements and enjoy them, but only in situations where they add something to the build. In some situations a build can be complicated but result in a messy final result. I guess an example here would be skull scorpio. (Skorpio? Skopio? Scorpion? GET OVER HERE!) it's cool that we got a tail function and refreshing to have a neat technic construct, and it fit in with giving technic pieces to the set, but it really didn't fit with the look of the set overall. And to illustrate my point further- take for example Darth Vader and Grievous. Both are great figures in my opinion, and yet they couldn't be any more different build wise. Grievous didn't need technic, but I still hold both of the figures at an equal mantle. I don't think every set in Bionicle has to have a certain amount of technic, just use it when it will have a pleasing result.
  8. The problem with the Avohkii was that there wasn't really any parts that matched it's color. With that said, as much as I am getting tired of gold masks, I do hope we get a version of the MoUP in gold just so I can display it with the MoCo and MoCr and it'll look consistent (also hoping it has similar Okoto writing on it.) I totally plan to build some kind of system temple, with a totem in the middle and mounts for the masks on said totem. Given that we see Umarak put on the MoCo and turn into the Destroyer, there is a 0% chance it is the MoUP and no room for speculation really.
  9. When I first started Bricklink I made sure I had a very low "minimum buy" and kept my prices on the lower end, If people are only spending a few dollars and getting the things they really need, they may be more confident in buying from a store with little to no feedback. Zux's idea works too, purchasing means you start the transaction with who you want and it can be a quick way to get feedback, even if you are only making a few small purchases.
  10. And I pointed this out before both of you With that said, if the beast mask do line up differently and there is no eyestalk, then putting the blended Toa masks they come with onto their heads may result in no eyes (resulting in a similar issue to when you flipped Vezon's head around, the ignika didn't have eyes unless you put it on a metru head)
  11. I swear sometimes these photographers don't understand the concept of kneeling down- I really would like to see some head on shots as opposed to the top down ones
  12. So I'm wondering if maybe the jaws aren't static- From what it appears, they are mounted on an axle that runs though the head (which normally is used to mount a brain stalk) but what if there isn't a brainstalk on these sets? What if the build instead allows for the jaws to be pushed up? It could be part of the reason why the heads the trans neon green, to allow for some form of eye color since there is no stalk. Since this would, in theory, give no friction to the jaw, it would hang open by default like it is in all these photos.
  13. Any Porshe in lime green immediately draws my mind to the RUF RT12 S haha I still quite like the purple and of course black, but I agree that they will hide too much detail. White and silver would be my other top choices with that in mind. (Also it's been quite some time since I've really been interested in Technic sets, this set is really pulling me back in )
  14. Thanks to Promobricks we have our first clear shots of the 2HY 2016 Bionicle sets! Visit the Bionicle 2016 Set Discussion thread to see more pictures and discuss! Also thanks to zusammengebaut.com, we have our first look at the Series 9 Mixels! Be sure to visit the Mixels 2016 Discussion thread to discuss!
  15. Directly linking the photos to reference for the frontpage. Again these images come from Promobricks.
  16. Yikes, the solid purple face on quake looks really off with the trans purple everywhere else in such huge amounts.
  17. That, and all of the blended Toa masks have trans neon green, implying they would match the beasts if they wore them (every set so far has made a point of being able to wear the masks its included with) so I would assume they would keep the same head so you can attach the Toa's masks too. EDIT: Well actually lava beast doesn't seem to have trans neon green other than the head which is odd, makes the blended Tahu mask even more random.
  18. I actually like the Spyshot camo, if it is just a placeholder I'll be disappointed (since really the color I would want this car in is black, so leaving the stickers off would give me that option too) With that said the price is no surprise- I know Porshe has been starting to get very stringent with their outside licensing and undoubtedly their partnership has pushed the price up a bit here on such a flagship vehicle.
  19. So all of the Toa's masks are in their main color, blended with trans neon green... cool I guess, but not really sure that'll look too great on the Toa.
  20. Ah fair enough, I only looked at the last panel and it wasn't clear that his mask was removed (until I looked at the one that came before it). I'm certainly down for a solid black or gunmetal version of the mask if that's what it is.
  21. I'm still curious what mask Ekimu is standing on- My initial thought was Umarak TH's mask in solid black (or gunmetal), but if he puts the MoCo over his regular face and turns into the destroyer that wouldn't make any sense story wise why Ekimu would have that. (Well, not that everything makes sense story-wise, but seems quite random if so)
  22. The only pilot besides Poe that I even recall from TFA was Greg Grunberg's character because I knew the actor. To be fair though I personally didn't find the original X-wings pilots were really all that memorable either, certainly not enough to make me feel one way or another about how TFA's pilots were portrayed.
  23. There are too many factors that go into the pricing and sales of sets that we really can't determine anything from it. With that said, LEGO usually publishes and discusses their financial and Annual Report around the end of February, there's no telling what will be highlighted but if we are going to hear anything about Bionicle's performance, that would be the time.
