  1. So I did some testing(Also sorry these are once again webcam pics, my studio is currently down and I snapped these real quickly); And this is the most frustrating design since Fire Lord's legs. Now that design I showed you before, turns out that doesn't work so well- Stormer's feet have to be crammed into a portion of the paw piece to the side, resulting in the front panel to be pushed to the side. The next best thing is this: However now the canopy is really far out. Just for comparison here is the way my review depicts it; Looking at this, it does make sense in a way; The paw piece cups the feet in the same way as the other 2 mechs with a foot plate, however this of course renders that additional clip on armor piece quite useless (Will retake these pictures in better quality soon, sorry it's taken so long but I had a busy week and I want to fulfill your requests as soon as I can)
  2. So far the beasts have all shown very unique eye designs, as from the picture you can see the queens head is the only one with the six red eyes like that zoomed in face. That doesn't explain the head colorization though, but I must say if thats' ANOTHER azure head I will be very disappointed- 3 azure heads is a bit overkill in my opinion. If this is the only year we get these beast heads I'd like to get them in as many colors as possible. However there is also a high possibility of another set, so far I only count 6 unseen sets from that trailer, and I would expect hopefully one more beast and one hero-based set. (Well there is 7 if you count that tiny Rocka thing as a set but I swear if that actually becomes a set...)
  3. A wonderful sight to see my ornament as the door image for today And prize pool B! The exact one I wanted! I'm not a big fan of the Lone Ranger but those are some excellent minifigs indeed, especially the one to the far left. I would say it was lucky day #7 (as it is still December 7th here in michigan) but the 8th will do Thanks once more for continually hosting these Copmike. I remember the first go around that this started there were polybag sets and whatnot being sent out, (I do believe my winning was the mini jedi starfighter), and I must say I enjoy the minifigs quite a bit more.
  4. You can see the shape of 4 of the "fin" pieces set behind the smoke there
  5. Well I do believe that is two different walkers; One has the containment pod on the back, you can see it in the second picture. The other one is either something that can connect to it, or it's a different set. Though that would mean we would have 2 walkers and a jet/robot, which does hint at some more really creative designs this time around. Also on a side note, does this environment make anyone else think of Borderlands 2's Caustic Caverns?
  6. Took these screenshots, should be most of it I have to say I'm a little dissapointed here from what I can see. Splitter beast and Rocka are both different than their toy designs so I'll take this with a grain of salt. But that 4-legged beast really isn't what i was hoping for as the big villain. From what I can see -Walking mech with containment pod -Red six-legged beast -Big 4 legged beast -Azure beast -Surge in a flying vehicle Stringer and surge are clearly there, I think Bulk is standing behind breez in the second picture, and Nex might be next to stringer but that could be rocka. Just looks too orange to me Also I'm noticing these beasts all have "clawed hands" Don't get your hopes up; Splitter beast has them too(well he has modified versions of what really are his hands), which means my guess is we won't see those designs in the finalized sets. But who knows Also shooting the red beast is what looks to be surge in a mech. I can't tell if the mech and the jet are the same or if we are going to have a repeat of the Evo situation
  7. My point isn't that the pin bothers me, it was to support my point that all this is, is the arm of each mech. My issue here is the lack of creativity. Granted the limbs are proportionate to his standard arms, but I really wish we had gotten something more out of this.
  8. Well a few days ago I did this; Just testing out the building system with a few new parts, I think breez's true mech would/will be more streamlined, but still.
  9. Well actually I think it's the smaller kaiju's claws that get wrapped around his torso; Irnakk's build has two piraka torsos back to back with a claw on each side to hold the zamor spheres in, and I just felt that somewhat here. I agree that Heroes do not need to be sized to their price point, I don't like when they are too tall or awkwardly built (Just look at the Rocka from Jet Rocka) Villains I think should be, as it adds more dimension and character to them. The instructions all show Splitter beast as being as big as Evo XL, whereas the set itself is not even close. You are correct that this is like a $15 and a $5 set put together, however the end result is a set the size of a $15 set. Part count may be in a good league, but he does seem quite small. I have a feeling the sets in the summer wave will focus more on the beasts and give them the larger set, but we will see. (Besides I'm sure those pics will be popping up within the next two months, release dates aside they still have ToyFair to meet)
  10. Indeed they are. By my count there are four in this set Yes I realized that in the HF 2014 topic. Oh well, IMO it's a great piece and having more of it in that color never hurts There was. Initial waves didn't have any legs however the production run after that included them in the polybag that was full of 2m pins.
  11. If the sets do start arriving a bit early it might be worth it for some U.S. people to try to find someone in another country (Canada ideally) who can find them in stores and just have them go purchase them and ship them over for them. As a transformers fan this is something I do monthly, for things such as Japanese exclusives, or even rare sets. (Our Michigan group for example, if a figure comes out that will be hard to get, people each say if they want one and the person who finds the figure first buys a bunch and distributes them accordingly.) Just worth a shot if you really can't wait for March. Oh also to clarify, I couldn't mention it until today, but I do believe that Evo XL review that was leaked onto B-shelf is for BZP. (I think that was a bit obvious since the bshelf belonged to a BZP reviewer, but alas) As of right now BZP and I are the only ones with the sets, so as for where the person got it from, that's likely the case. Currently the sets are not out early anywhere. Though I did see trans bright green claws from stealth machine on Bricklink the other day 0.o
  12. Of course. Might need to wait until tuesday morning as I work through to the night tomorrow but I'll get them together ASAP.
  13. Surprisingly, that is how the instructions say to do it. Front facing does allow for bending but not nearly as much, so I think that's what they were going for. it looks quite dumb in this strange positioning I'll admit, but I didn't take any points off for that since the official images express the other configuration and it's all a matter of preference
  14. A great review Whitefang, Personally the only two figures I really want from this wave is Wyldstyle and the mermaid. Other than that it's a pass for me (Thankfully the two I want will be easy to feel for) I have to ask, why was the picture with all of the boxes omitted? Due to the difficulty photographing it?
  15. I'll get the picture tomorrow for you (Freddy I'll take that group shot also) The other issue this causes is that the gap from the side increases because the canopy is pushed farther outward (instead of resting against the seat it rest on top of the added thickness of the paw)
  16. According to the instructions the way I have pictured is the "official" way, though doing it your way results in this; The gap is still there and the paw covers the minifig in a strange way, however it does cover the feet; I actually might try this design on Furno, since furno's mech does a good job covering the sides up
  17. Well to me it's a bit cost ineffective when a majority of the parts you could grab off of Bl in bulk. Whatever, My point is you would pay $25 for a parts pack if you do find a lot of potential here; The set itself should fulfill that price tag in addition to it, but in my opinion it falls short.
  18. And to show off how the helmets work on normal prints; Just snapped these real quick with my phone, will edit them into the reviews later but I'm taking requests on the spot. Anything else let me know
  19. No reason was given as to why they are delayed so late. They fit, and if you add on the helmet as well you could please people who want a more 'classic' minifigure, but I think the issue is that the armor looks a bit big on a standard minifig.
  20. This is directly quoted from what was relayed to me from lego; Looks like only the United States is behind on this one.
  21. Indeed Splitter beast's friction joints seem to be aimed at the combo model. I also at one point though maybe that's why Evo Walker has an orange seat, because the two-cockpit design would then have matching seats. Alas, the canopies are different colors, so I haven't the foggiest. And I do agree the Evo combiner is a brilliant concept, but I just can't help feeling it was very rushed. (And I took his photos on the black backdrop so you could see the Stormer arm, original photo attempts made it disappear) And The combos are shown on the instructions in that art image however the actual instructions for them are going to be featured on Lego.com close to the set release dates. (Lego sent me early PDFs so I could accurately construct them)
  22. Surprisingly quite nice. It's a bit high on the shoulders, but it allows for the articulation when used on the Heroes so i don't mind it so much.
  23. I wouldn't mind having a higher price point if it meant balancing the amount of villains with the Heroes. if anything I would rather they have dumbed down Evo Xl in favor of a better opponent to face off, as right now Evo XL is too large; he towers over Splitter beast AND the 3-headed combo model. And part recolors have been mentioned for now. The paw piece I did mention in my Stormer review but I completely missed the fact that I didn't show it here either. Once again I do apologize for the things that may still be lacking, I'll be adding them in over the course of the week. Events and other such things added to the time constraint suppressed the productivity of my reviewing, I didn't anticipate there would be so much to cover with these sets until I was already doing them.
  24. Aye I just clarified that a bit more. Yes, it is
  25. Alright everyone all of the reviews are now live and running; 44015: Evo Walker 44016 Jaw Beast vs. Stormer 44017: Stormer Freeze Machine 44018: Furno Jet Machine 44019: Rocka Stealth Machine 44020: Flyer Beast vs Breez 44021: Splitter Beast v. Furno and Evo 44022: Evo XL Machine Invasion From Below Combo Models There wouldn't have been enough light passing through the helmet to show the color to the eyes.
