Disappointing that Inferno is MIA and instead we have Infearno, but his description sounds pretty cool. That's one aspect that I'm enjoying with this wave, is that it seems the villains have some great personality. The original Agents line had some great attention to detail with the minifigures, and I hope to see that trend continue in with the new wave. I haven't looked at many of the prelims that are slowly being leaked out, but I did see the mobile command center or "agents HQ," and I'm looking forward to seeing it in greater detail. Agents always had some hidden features with every set, I hope they show that care for detail this time through as well.

Why is it that everyone who gets a hold of these catalogs doesn't have the common sense to turn their flash off? With that said, the blue jumper bodies and the cacoons are the only things I'm really "giddy" about this time through; Sets themselves will require better quality before I can judge them.

(MOC) Rocky Railroad Guardian (Power Miners)
VBBN replied to Renjiru's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's nice to see Power miner MOCs, It had a very unique style and you have done a nice job translating it into this train. The middle section of the train with the 4 drills and treads is my favorite component of the train, (because a train that can only go forward and backward on rails would not be so effective in a combat situation) Like other have said, the rig looks especially cool and I would like to see you expand upon that and to have some close up shots. A suggestion, possibly expanding the protective grating on the cockpit of the train to cover the glass and roof; At the moment there would be rocks falling on top of it and damaging it. -
Generally all polybag sets are built using existing parts and are very simple in construction, this is not a new concept by any means. Some of them may not have been fantastic, but you need to realize some of these were included with things such as packs of batteries, magazines, or were flat out free with the purchase of something. They aren't meant to be a groundbreaking set, they are meant to serve as an idea of how the system works, how the ball and socket system operates. If people like the idea of it, they can get larger sets and be drawn into the line. With the exception of Click (who was a polybag I noticed you didn't include in this review) these are not canon nor meant to be taken as official characters in the Bionicle story. I won't disagree that these are builds that would have been better left unconstructed, but I don't think they could really be considered the worst Bionicle sets of all time. That is why we have Gali Mistika.

Detroit Auto Show is on right now, and it seems like they have really dumbed it down this year. Not as big as it usually is, and I can't say there was too much there that I'm excited for. I'm really enjoying the styling they have done for the 2015 Corvette z06 (though that was a lot of people's highlight this year) The nissan maxima 2016 concept was neat too, the headlights are an especially interesting design. Not a fan of the 2015 mustang or Camaro though, they just lost a lot of their original personality it seems.

What is your least favorite HF/Bionicle/Slizers set?
VBBN replied to Zenerius's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I'm going to stick to Bionicle/Hero Factory. Galidor, Ben 10, and Slizers were all too similar to eachother to really compare. Now I split this into two categories. The first would be, the worst set based on the execution and functionality of the set. For Bionicle, this would be Umbra. I think his execution was poor, it didn't feature any recolors, and had a rather uninspiring design. The roller skate feet were a toss up and unique, but I don't think the set itself was really something that screamed "buy me." Hero factory wise, there are a lot that I have disliked, but Fire Lord was a pretty poor design, even considering it was their first time creating a titan with the new system. The other category is worst representation of a character. For Bionicle, this was the entirety of the 2008 toa. They did not accurately portray the characters we once knew, especially Gali and Onua. Sure, there were some similarities, like Kopaka's telescopic eye (now with 95% more lasers) and Pohatus shorter stance, but they just didn't do it for me. One could argue that the Inika and mahri were nothing like their matoran, but the Nuva were characters we had already seen as two incarnations of toa, and those are the ones I had developed a distaste for when the new designs were revealed. For hero factory, It's hard to say, because I don't get much characterization from most of the characters. I think the 2.0 series was the poorest representation, because they lost all individuality. They had different gadgets and colors of spikes, but other than that they really didn't show characteristics of their original personalities. -
A new, updated review index is now up. The Bionicle index has been merged with the rest of the themes to keep in line with other indexes, and now that the theme is no longer growing there is no need for it's own topic. Hero factory has also been cut up by year, and the first post contains a thorough link index that will take you directly to the post you are looking for. Themes from the year Everything past 2011 that was missing has been added in, including Breakout, Brain Attack, Invasion from Below, Superheroes, and the Legends of Chima CHI sets. Mixels will be added once they begin showing up in stores, and when we possibly have better photos for the CGI thumbnails. Check out the new index here *Please remember that there are a lot of images and links in the index, so you may want to give the page a moment to load before attempting to scroll through* Enjoy!

I'm hoping for GITD jumpers myself, more for the nostalgia point of it. However any GITD parts would be great, it's one thing I really enjoy and don't think we've gotten enough of yet (the day we get GITD bones or shells will be a glorious day...though given the material that might not be possible)

The friction adder piece in black. I could come up with a whole slew of parts i'd like to see in alternate colors, but that is my absolute must have. It's a wonderfully useful piece, yet that dark bluish gray color is such a shame. (Also the fact that it isn't easily available in very large quantities is a bit annoying) There are a few sets with a good amount but to truly stock up on them is costly either way.

Legoknight I have cropped and resized your image. We encourage pictures that are at most 800x600 in size, and your photo was much larger, and the MOC itself was not easy to see. (having to click and zoom is unnecessary) For future use here are a few tutorials that you can reference with other MOCs; Photo Resizing Photo cropping With that said I like the idea you have of Nex going into space, and only makes me want a Hero Factory set in space all the more. I'll agree that I don't see Nex here, both the color scheme and a lack of any identifying features give him away as being Nex. The feet are probably my favorite part, the "slizer head" piece flows very nicely with Hero Factory parts
