I've reworked your topic title to better apply to the theme of the topic And great shots, the figures look so much nicer when posed and displayed in good quality photography!
-
Even with my computer which can handle quite a lot, this topic is a nightmare to load with all of these media links Good song here, brings back some memories, though I do believe flyleaf has a new singer now and I can't say that's a good direction (also why three days grace as going to go down the drain fast without Adam)
-
Can't say I'm a big fan of the lego movie sets or figures, but I saw the new movie series of minifigs today and felt around for Wyld here as I adore that outfit and fan
-
The set itself isn't very big but if you figure the minifigure size when compared to it, its the biggest XL I suppose
-
Thanks everyone! The issue here is, the reason the toes have never changed is because the center toe which uses and 8-long shell is absolutely vital to his stability. Since it does not come in black, I have to work on finding a new method of balance. But yes I do agree I love the new claw pieces, they created much more lifelike hands here and really can serve a lot of purposes.
-
Kinda surprised they didn't put the combo models in the episode, as they seem to be pushing them a lot in the instructions, but I suppose it wouldn't be all to easy to fit those into the timeframe..
-
Like you didn't see this coming. First let's have a quick look at the previous two forms: Larger Version I have GOT to get me one of these
-
My MOC from a week ago is terrifyingly similar Well, legs and cockpit design at least

The house looks really cool, packed with great detail and some great parts, though I am still bothered by those minifigures...Mainly the eye printings. The "eyelids" just look strange, and some of the expressions are very difficult to work with. Bart will always be looking to the side for example. I'm hoping that the Simpsons Minifig series will have some different heads that are more versatile

I also somewhat wonder if the joints used on Ben 10 figures were a "testing" phase of sorts, they certainly seem more like the current HF sockets when compared to the previous two variants of Bionicle sockets, and their use in the 2010 HF sets suggested that they wanted to use those parts as a crossover to the new style. (i.e, to reduce the amount of the current mold they had to use from Bionicle, they used some Ben 10 limbs instead which they knew were more sturdy, and also to make use of the molds themselves)

The issue with the breaking system parts is because that connection is not as easy to reduce stress on. With a ball and socket system you can depress the ball's surface to reduce the shock of the connection, and the cup can be strengthened with a shape that allows and easier initial connection. The small exo force arms and claws use the bar system. If you attempt to modify the dimensions of the bar or the clip, you risk the connection becoming loose. The current solution to the shock reduction is shown by the hand components. A minifigure hand is a softer plastic, and while it doesn't have as firm of a grip as some other pieces might, it helps to accommodate the size of the bar. The exo force robot hands had a notch at the back of the clip, once again reducing the stress while offering a slightly looser connection. It also called for a larger piece to accommodate that notch. The bar itself would be difficult to depress, as there is the risk that any change in it's surface would cause the clip to fall off. I could be quite wrong with my analysis here, but from my observations that is the main issue. As of lately none of my arm pieces have broken, but I have noticed that it takes more force to remove than I would normally like

Quoted for truth, I loved the x-pod sets with a passion and thought the exact same thing the moment I saw these. With that said, I kinda wish they had a similar concept to the x-pod sets where all of the models could be built out of the parts given as alternate models- Of course that is a feature for creator sets and I'm not surprised they avoided it here, and the combining feature would render that idea useless Do we know the exact cost of these sets in USD?

One of those small blades that were used a lot on the Fire villains busted yesterday, however I fear that was my fault. They were on the back of Kronos' (Chaos/Tyrant) heel and his weight finally took a toll on it And Mephek what in blazes do you do to your parts? Even pieces that have been taken apart hundreds of times haven't broken on me, I can't imagine how that many parts could break under normal conditions
