Both I and Meso's source confirm an 8th set that is larger, Mine did not include a name but I can gurantee you it is official. The name not so much, but thats a matter to be desired

I'll be getting Iron man for parts, and even as a stand alone set he doesnt look too bad. Plus I love iron man, so its a given I want him

Righty then time for some more in depth looks at these guys Voltix: Figured this guy was coming, his armor seemed too new to just be a an animation model that is so set-like. The only thing I dont like, is his varied color scheme. Unfortunatly, the red and blue look like they are their to stay, because thats how they are in the animation. The electrical bits look quite nice, and the purple is of course amazing. Also, I'm really liking the mata yellow tentacle and zamor(not a new color for that part, but since idont buy NXT i never got one) Bulk: He's actually starting to grow on me. The shoulder design seems like he is using the same design as the Green lantern figure. The chest I'm guessting is preliminary for a printed piece. Though I do wonder what his secondary design on that part will be. If anythings for sure, it will be an orange design, seeing as orange is more apparent on him here. Oh, and upon further inspection of his right shoulder, he has either a BLACK, SILVER< OR GRAY 2.0 gun shield thing, which is awesome. And looks to have system rockets on it. Core Hunter: Am I theonly one here that is SERIOUSLY getting sick of red and black as a villain color? Regardless, he looks fantastic. hes bulky, evil looking, and I have a feeling has a hero core on that rocka belt thing. Also, his leg armor looks like the shoulder armor on Voltix, and I'm really liking the looks of it XT4: Wow. I mean, sure, hes meltdown mixed with waspix. But, he's just...AWESOME. Not a to of new bits from what I can tell, but he is extremely unique, and really gives off a true robot feeling. He's that quirky set that I just love. Stringer: Eh, he looks decent for parts, and I like blue, certainly a nice change from orange, even if its not true to his original character(Besides, breeze has red that wasnt apparent on her old figure) Though his head looks really odd. And what is he doig with his gun? Nex: Oh...Oh dear. poor nex, what has happened to you? Of course, He'll look far better when he has a proper colored chestplate (Again, temporary for a printed piece) And I like the helmet, it's a nice spinoff of his 2.0 helmet. But hes just, boring, and doesnt bring much new to the table other than the helmet and a new orange chestplate really. Stormer: SWEET PRIMUS that is one fine looking set. Bulky, powerful, just what stormer should be. Step aside Rocka XL. And i absolutly love white titan sets, so this is of course appreciated

Wait Thats not a three headed dragon Thats FOUR headed HOLY- Well, that set looks fantastic, a truley monstrous dragon fighting a large snake, definatl a set I'll be grabbing when the chance arrives. The mech looks somewhat boring, a standard mech build. Awkward, clustered, but the chest piece looks neat. The sword was inevitible The..whatever vehicle also looks nice, but i'm not too interested in it, so a pass on that one for me And I'm not interested in the spinner sets, too pricey for me since All I care about is the figures and accessories
-
Hopefully just a reading mistake, Speed Demon sounds better x) Honestly my guess is something like ghost rider or the furno bike, But either way it means hopefully something vehicle based with the new system

Mr. Gundamn, Direct embed links in img tags to pictures with the cnfidential tag are restricted from being posted directly to EB, hene why I posted the link to them mirrored on my flickr. Honestly after looking these over, Only sets that I feel are strong as stand alone sets are XT4, Stormer XL, and Core Hunter. But The rest all have some really great MOCing parts, aside from nex. He doesnt really look all that good

All pictures now mirrored on my flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/vbbn/

Edit; Pictures mirrored on my flickr; http://www.flickr.com/photos/vbbn/ I'll get some thoughts out later after i've analyzed these guys

Not a huge fan of those sets, But i must say that mine set look really nice. I'm not really into the mine theme though. it's a neat theme, but after Power Miners, I kind of feel like city should try expanding into something else, give us a break from the traditional police and such, and move into something even different. Mine themes sets a a decent way to break from the normal, but i would have preferred if the theme aimed to expand a lesser theme

Welcome aboard, Do ask if you have any questions and have fun What are your favorite themes?

Toxic Reapa, is honestly my #1 favorite set from the winter lineup, in terms of what i have seen from photo and video reviews so far. Firstly, (despite his name being similar to my gamertag;p) he has a very nice colorscheme. no random colors that have a hard time flowing, they all are very well together. The translucent parts are especially nice. His helmet looks great as well, unique and very much to the point where it makes the whole figure look as if it's a halo Grunt! I'll certainly be picking up multiple of this set. A good parts pack, and a great set indeed Edit; Ah, and I also appreciate the extra effort to give a spare hero core piece for the code, they could have easily just done something like in 2004, by putting the code on a car in the package. Great for MOCing purposes

Samus Also look one hell of a lot more feminine than breeze does, and im not saying that because shes got boobs, im saying just the geral structure of her I didnt say his flowed well either

REVIEW: 9442 Jay's Storm Fighter
VBBN replied to Velika314's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for that review, The set seems a bit bland to me, just a pile of blue angle pieces built together really. The functionality is neat, but I'm not really a functions person, more of just display At the same time, it is a lovely looking parts pack, especially those golden blades, which do indeed use an axle connection point, makes me very happy indeed -
Breeze has looked bad to me from day one. I mean, I said the same about Black Phantom, but really his final set blew me away. breeze on the otherhand, (contradictory to her name)does not. She looks awkward, the color scheme simply does not flow well at all, and theres just nothing about her that screams "buy me" other than for parts purposes.

I'd say if you used the normal Rocka feet with some of the spiked parts placed onto them somehow it would work, or if you don't have those then you could try changing the lower leg armor, perhaps place it so the flat part is on the side of the leg, not in front
-
I like the way his spikes on his back are annaged, makes me think of the Exo Force Thunder fury set. And also nice to see I'm not the only one who loves the look of that golden paw as a chest piece I do indeed ike the "wolverine claw" look he has going as well Only thing I'm not a big fan of is the feet. He is very smooth, especially in the legs, so the very textured claw feet dont flow as well a they could
-
Technically Kongu/Pohuatu didnt use the "standard" body piece either, but in terms of a scratch built torso, definatly kiina.
-
I do agree, and the stormer looks as if he requires additional prts to attatch the hero core, into which Hulk has, so i'm going to side with you on that assumption. But I do hope they don't decide to print the piece to give him a design of any sort. I must say, although people dont like stickers, I prefer them, because i like to reuse parts, and printed pieces really hinder that ability, especially major pieces like torso armor

The server load may be a bit more too as more people will surely be on here in the coming days due to the holidays, people have time off work and may be on here more than normally.

Fallenangel, in the future when you see spam post(s), please use the report button feature. Anyways, listening to the new song off of the New disturbed collection; I have to admit, i really like this song, it feels more like something off of one of the original albums. i wasnt a huge fan of Asylum. Don't get me wrong, it's a good album, but i just really like this song better. "3" is also very good and wasnt very well known before this album, i'd recommend checking out that song too. For those who don't know, this album is just a collection of all of their bsides/Bonus tracks from previous albums, plus the new song "Mine"
-
I believe so yes, And i must say, it's LOVELY looking. Definatly will be getting one of him. I'm glad lego is starting to branch out with the designs now, away from the traditional bone structure
-
Thanks for that review, I must say I am liking this set more than I thought i would, that is one fine looking helicopter indeed! And the new henchmen for Joker looks grand And the batwing is just simply a "Mini Batwing" In my opinion
-
And splitface? He's up on S@H but apparently no one has gotten him yet.
-
He's $20 USD on S@H, 25 if you get him from TRU, So he is cheaper than Rocka XL and Witch Doctor
-
Honestly I'll probably pick up anything that has Quinn and Two face in it. Though i am not a fan of the fact that the two face set is really just a rehash of the original, but it's better than nothing.
