Revels While the rest of the Sea Rats rejoiced because of their victory over Eslandola, Sinbad was distraught. He had gotten the whole story from the crew of the Puck's Jest. Captain Fheng, filled with a desire to see the civilized world brought to its knees was in the thick of the battle when the Sea Rats surprised the ESL blockade breaking convoy. In the heat of battle, he didn't notice the Morning Fog coming up along side. The Morning Fog had been built by the same shipwrights as the Jade Piranha. In the confusion and because of the canon smoke everywhere, the Sea Rat fleet had not realized that the Morning Fog was a different vessel and so she was able to sneak into the heart of the SR convoy. She opened fire with all guns and quickly destroyed the Jade Piranha. Captain Fheng went down with his ship, loyal to the last. Thankfully she was quickly avenged by the Puck's Jest who made the crew of the Morning Fog pay dearly. Unfortunately, since not just the captain, but every ranking officer on board had been slaughtered by the crew of the Puck's Jest, Sinbad had no way to avenge his former captain. And so he was left asking himself, "what would he do next?" OoC: The Jade Piranha is being sister-shipped and replaced with my captured 5HA, the Morning Fog. The micro-ship version is seen above, the full version is below. It is just a re-coloring of the original Jade Piranha using Gimp. It was approved by the courts.
  2. Quotes under the pictures are not required, but adding a story will most certainly add to the appeal of your entry and make it more likely to win.
  3. Thank you! I know there has already been a question amongst the other Sea Rats whether this will normally be allowed or not. Should I tell them to bring each case to the court?
  4. Can I get a ruling on this please? @Kolonialbeamter, @Maxim I, @dr_spock, and @Bregir
  5. Don't make me change the title of this thread! We allow rumors in this thread, but they must be substantiated rumors. Otherwise they are just conjecture and wishful thinking. badgerboy's post did contain some substantiated information so you are correct in saying his post better belonged here than most. However, it's not your job to mini-MOD so please don't anymore. Being a mini-MOD is my job. For everyone! We have now killed the relevant discussion on a possible SW CMF line. If you want to talk about it more, go here to the original place the rumor started. You'll find that there is just as much evidence against the SW CMF as for it. All helpful things that can be said at this moment have been said. So please don't bring it up again unless you have more substantiated information. This is your only warning.
  6. Glad your entering the contest! You can post as many pictures as you want. The only limit is that you can only do a full-blown photoshop job on 2, one of each MOC. Other than that you can take different shots from all angles and include or not include minifigs as desired!
  7. Beautiful rendition! I'm working on my own version of the A-wing so it's great to see how someone else already finished theirs.
  8. Was just in my local Walmart where I noticed they had a box of 17 out, finally! I had already got most of what I wanted from TRUs, but had missed the Retro Spaceman. I picked him out and then was about to leave when a guy walked up and took the entire box. Wow. That's why I can never find them at this Walmart!
  9. I've heard various opinions on the licensing of captured ships combined with sister-shipping. So I'd like to submit an example to the court for ruling. In the latest MCRA I became the owner of the 5HA Morning Fog. This is an un-mocced ship. I would like to submit a topic that explains that this ship was a requisitioned Junk that ESL added to it's war fleet. As such, it looked very much like my Jade Piranha which was sunk the last MCRA. Since my Jade Piranha sunk, I am allowed to sister-ship it. I would like to use the un-mocced license of the Morning Fog towards the sister-shipping of the Jade Piranha. I have re-colored the ship and if my request is approved, I will build a micro-version of the ship in it's new colors.
  10. I just search by set number from the sets I know have pieces I want.
  11. Prints that match existing prints are allowed, using whatever program to achieve that result.
  12. Following up on that, there are tons of new pieces on B&P Weequay Guard A-Wing Tarkin hair Ahsoka's blue lightsaber blades She-Hulk's hair Elves piece Elves sheild Elves Elves Nexo-Knights Ninjago Mr. T's hair Pirate's of the Caribbean trans-dish Peter Venkman's hair Brickheadz Belle Brickheadz Belle Assembly Square TLBM TLBM TLBM TLBM TLBM TLBM TLBM And there's lots more! Those are just the pieces that first stood out.
  13. Correct. You can only use currently available color/piece combos.
  14. I've made a couple tweaks to the rules. All changes are in red. Let me know if you have questions.
  15. They were a gift from Stash:
  16. I'd love to see your take on this contest! Hope you find time to build!
  17. Glad to see you answered your own question And I thought about trying to get The Phantom as a prize, but seeing as most people who enter this contest will already own a copy of the set to get Thrawn, it seemed better to offer other selections
  18. UPDATE! Deadline has been extended to June 17th. Thrawn. One of the Empire's most brilliant tacticians. His ability to discern his enemies actions and reactions was legendary. He earned his reputation because time and time again he was able to predict what his enemy would do. One of his methods for learning about his enemy was by studying their art. "I've been studying the tactics of the Rebel General Belcoze who's been giving us so much trouble. Do you see these two paintings? One was painted by the General's cousin just last year. It's an original that is fetching millions of credits at auction. The other was painted by Belcoze when he was six, over twenty years ago. It was found at the back of an old closet when the Empire raided his family's home. There's no way General Belcoze's cousin could have seen this painting before making his own. Now, the Iktotchi species is known for their precognitive abilities, but this example shows that General Belcoze is particularly gifted in this area. So when we try to ambush him, he'll expect it. That's why I want you to send a second group of soldiers to ambush his ambush." "We have you now General Belcoze!" "I was expecting you." "So were we." Now it's your turn! Build two MOCs depicting Thrawn learning about his enemy and triumphing over them by studying their art. The first MOC should be no smaller than 16x16 square studs and should show Thrawn learning about his enemy through studying their art work. The second MOC should be no smaller than 32x32 square studs and should show how Thrawn's knowledge allowed the Empire to be victorious. Rules Only one entry is allowed per person. Both MOCs should be shown in the same topic. Entries without 2 separate MOCs will be disqualified. There is no maximum size limit, just the minimums. Thrawn must be present in the first MOC. He may be present in the second but is not required to be. Some lenience will be allowed if you want to participate in this contest but do not own a Thrawn minifigure. Creativity will count heavily if you depict Thrawn without the actual minifigure. The contest will run from 1st May to 17th June, 2017. As long as it's still June 17th somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified. There must be at least 10 entries for the prizes listed below to be awarded. If there are fewer than 10 entries, there will still be prizes, they will just not be the same as are listed in the prizes section. This contest is open to all EB members, even if they joined EB after the contest has begun, with the exception of the Star Wars staff, who are not eligible to win prizes. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to being entered in the contest. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO. No clone brands, no third-party custom parts. Digital entries will be allowed. All digital entries must use only existing pieces in existing colors. All digital entries should include a link to the digital file to ensure only existing piece colors are used. All entries must be posted as a new topic in the Watto’s Junkyard forum, the title prefixed by, "[Thrawn] - entry name". (For example, "[Thrawn] – Out-thinking the Iktotchi".) A link must also be included in this thread for your entry to count. Post pictures no larger than 1024x671, but you may link to bigger pictures. You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on two pictures (the intention is one for each of the two MOCs entered for this contest). All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited. It is also prohibited to use the Lego logo in any picture. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. For each category EB members will vote for their favorite entry in each category. Prizes (may change, but probably won't) First place will win 75105 Millennium Falcon Second place will win 75140 Resistance Troop Transport Third place will win 75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank
  19. @Legostone, do you have a link to 4A Tribute? I can't find the thread anywhere.
  20. If it's up, can you post a link? I'm looking for the results of the trade runs.
  21. Excellent work! I love how this turned out.
  22. I'm sorry I've been behind on this guys! I will get some of the bios added and will try to add planets to the map as well. I'm working on a really big, new map so I don't want to spend too much time on the old one, but I also don't want to leave you all hanging!
  23. Welcome @Gubi0222, @Ryn, and @Evolved Turtle! I've added all of you to the Index. If you'd like a different profile picture for your avatar, please post a 100x100 shot here for me. And @Evolved Turtle, playing as a Scout Trooper is totally allowed! One thing I would suggest is to show progression of your character as you gain XP. You shouldn't start out as a crack Trooper with crazy skills that moonlights as a bounty hunter. We have characters like that, but they've worked their way up the XP ladder and have shown how their character got to that point. I look forward to reading your stories.
