[SoNE 10.2] A Promotional Meeting
MKJoshA replied to Commander Beltar's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Sorry for the delayed response, but great story! The build is simple, but sometimes simple builds are good to keep the story moving. -

I love your stories as usual! But you guys really need to get a running list of all your stories and collabs in one place! It's hard to follow sometimes!

Wow! A great story backed up with a great build! What pieces make up the wood panel above the fireplace?

Sea Rats: Sign-up and Discussion
MKJoshA replied to Darkdragon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
You are most welcome Master Shen! -
My pirates are Oriental in flavor and I've said they come from south of the main continent. I agree with this, though I would say a small license doesn't have to be smaller than 16x16. If you can't afford a medium property you can always license it as small and then get bigger. I know some builders who really focus on quality will build 50x50 "small" properties and then just get bigger with their next sizes.

One of Freddy's neighbors worked as a foreman over a sugarcane plantation just outside the city limits of Rassilon. Sugarcane was extremely popular on the island. It just goes to show you that even pirates can have a sweet tooth.

Previously: Recruiting at Marco's This Is Not the Wealthy Housing of Rassilon Falling Out with Foxx Cantu's Fort in Rassilon The Viper Jail Break! While Sinbad, Li Chang, and the rest of the crew of the Viper were escaping from Mardier, Jorge Cantu was resting in his house. Being one of the wealthier residence of Rassilon, it meant he could afford a house in the nicest district. But while living in the nicest district afforded many comforts, it also came with great risk. For everyone else, including those pirates with fewer scruples than most, knew where the wealthy lived as well.

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
MKJoshA replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Welcome dawnlight! If you use a picture hosting site like Flickr, then you can post the picture of your character here from there. There are tutorials in my signature that can help you figure out how best to do that. -
EDIT: After talking with another player, I've made some updates to my story so that it fits better with what others have told story-wise before me.

[MOC] [Steampunk] Sir Archibald's Flying Lucilla
MKJoshA replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I really like your last ship, but this one seems a little too hodge-podge. I can't really put my finger on it either, may it's the amount of grays. However, I love the concept and it's great to see more steampunk!- 14 replies

Location: G10 Onix Tags: None Last time, in Ender's story: A Space Saga Begins Is it Mine Mine? Okami Bike Kawashita Hummer Where Was I Supposed to Be? Spaceman Spiff Black Hair, the Pirate Merry Men Adventures (Where There's Lava There's Water) Car On A Plate Too Girly Underwater Junk Aggressive Wildlife After his close call with one of the lava worms Onix was known for, Ender finally made it to his meeting with the Zards. “Thank you for agreeing to meet with me” began Ender. “I know my corporation has had good relations with your race as well as the rest of A.L.I.E.N. in the past, but it seems like a lot of conflicting information has come to light ever since the Merchant Confederation joined up with Octan.” “We are always happy to do business with Kawashita” answered the Zard whose name was Turk Falso, “We were actually beginning to wonder why we hadn’t heard from anyone at Kawashita recently. The allegations made by the Emboians, the Merchant Confederation, as well as Octan have been unfortunate. They see A.L.I.E.N. as a threat to their commerce. We feel there is plenty of room in the galaxy for both A.L.I.E.N. and the Merchant Confederation to exist peacefully, but they do not seem to share this sentiment.” “What about the stories about the Zoids taking slaves?” asked Ender. “The Zoids are certainly the most aggressive race in A.L.I.E.N., and any race has their bad apples, as you earthlings say” replied Turk. “They are known for their advance research into genetics, which has had some negative side effects to be sure. But most of the rumors about Zoids being slavers come from a certain group of them whose activities have not been sanctioned by A.L.I.E.N. Now, I know for a fact that some Zoids captured humans, but they captured them to use as hostages, not slaves. Octan has been key in making the rest of the galaxy think we are the bad guys, when in reality it is they who have overrun our planets and killed our people!” “Wow!” exclaimed Ender. “The truth needs to get out! I think I can help you, but first I’m going to need to get past these robots the Emboians have sent after me.” “That knowledge would be a small thing to exchange for your help” said Turk. “Let’s get started.”

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
MKJoshA replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
It will help put things in context if you look at the past episodes, but it's not necessary to be able to participate in the upcoming episode. -
If that's the case, then why wouldn't Sea Rats have taxes? I thought the idea behind Sea Rats having no taxes was to entice them to join our lovable anarchy? That's why we only pay half price on properties.

That's what makes it so great to be a Sea Rat! We save each player more than 20%, we save them 50%! It's the rest of you factions who can't do math Why take 50% and only turn 20% of it into taxes?
-
The other factions just want you to think it's 20% on top of what you make that goes as taxes to your faction. It's all lies! Only the Sea Rats have no taxes. The taxes are built into the price of the buildings. So if you buy a 100DB property, your faction gets 20% of that, 20DBs. But what they don't tell you is that really the property only costs half that and then they add on taxes and fees to create the 100DB price tag! If you're a Sea Rat, a 100DB property only costs 50DBs because that's what it's really worth. So, come join us scurvy dogs and reap the profits!

See the rest of the story: Season 1 Season 2 Junker's Fee Welcome to Fondor Fondor City Nightlife Many Bothans Died... Well At Least One Fixing to Clear the Mind Thermal Detonator Pot-Pie Focus Torturous Trial The Escape The Calamity Star Hyperdrive Repairs Motivating the Troops Kuati Spaceport Kale and MKJoshA made their way to Senator Lysani’s estate to meet with Kale’s friend. “Have you ever spent much time around Kuatis?” asked Kale. “No, why?” replied Josh. “They have some of the weirdest fashion sense in the galaxy!” was Kale’s reply. “They pride themselves on setting fashion trends on Coruscant, but sometimes I wonder why!” They walked up to the main door, being tracked by the security camera and minigun. Josh could tell that although Lysani was a former senator, that didn’t mean she stopped being paranoid. A telbun opened the door. “Can I help you?” he asked. “We’re here to see Viqi, she’s expecting us” said Kale. “Yes, right this way sirs” was the reply. Josh immediately noticed all the art the senator had collected adorning the walls and tables in the entry room. He wondered what the rest of the estate looked like if this was only the greeting room. A moment later Viqi entered. Josh could see what Kale had meant by strange clothing styles. Headdresses were back in style on Kuat it would seem, and so were the face covers. “Viqi, it’s been too long!” exclaimed Kale. “Not long enough Kale” was Viqi’s curt reply. “I only agreed to help you because I still owe you for helping me out of that situation on Bothawui. Crazy Bothans are intolerable if they think you owe them anything! But let’s get one thing straight. We aren’t friends. I’m going to help you and your friend and then we’re done. Got it?” Kale just turned to Josh and rolled his eyes. “Glad to know you still miss me Viqi” Kale said with a twinkle in his eye. “Ugh! Let’s get this over with” said Viqi. “You’ll be sleeping in the telbun quarters. And tomorrow Bryce is going to start your training.”

Haha! I actually only bought one set, the Lavara (or whatever she's called) $10 set and then I got 2 free polybags with the guards in them. I'll probably pick up a few more sets over the year just because they have such a unique part selection, but I'm really not a fan of the theme overall. Wow! Don't know how I missed that! That was kind of my thought. Lots of natives painted their skin right? Why not bright red?
