  1. Thanks Gunman! Good to have you back!
  2. If kabel says the Lego rep guy said LOTR was over, then I believe it's over. However, we have seen that happen with Batman and look where it is now? We can't buy a DC comics set without Batman being in it! And what about the scare with Lego giving up the Star Wars licence a couple years back? I will stay optimistic for now, but Lego has nothing to gain by keeping us in the dark/telling us it's over if they don't mean it. So can I be optimistic and pessimistic at the same time?
  3. Wow, is the Kaliphlin forum so dead that you all resort to trash talking on ours? Just shows which guild is the best
  4. Wow Markus, wow. If all you had was your 1st picture, I'd be sold. I love the gears biting into the tree. You've achieved such a realistic look with Lego with that first picture. But then you top it off with burning Ewoks and more story! Fantastic work as usual! By the way, are those the new stormtrooper helmets from the Rebels set?
  5. It's great to see your finished product after hearing about it for awhile now! All your hard work really shows. Good job!
  6. The king is actually missing. And as Vlad said, one of the guilds was supposed to rule in his absence, but since there was no agreement we have these civil wars.
  7. I'm certainly up for that!
  8. I've been reading through some of the older story posts again trying to find out more about Revelword. I can't find anything about his past. Has anyone delved into where he came from? Would anyone be opposed to me included some of his backstory in my upcoming builds?
  9. Well thanks everyone! I'm glad you all can enjoy my pre-Eurobricks improvement era. It's a combination of the Star Wars Desert Skiff set and the Lord of the Rings Shelob set. I call it the Catfish Speeder since it slightly resembles a catfish.
  10. Wow You really are going to have to create a tutorial for how to do this style of building. I still don't understand how this is able to exist in Lego.
  11. Can't believe I missed this one earlier! I love that there are the two sides to this build. The way you managed to capture the feel of the hallway and the room in such a small build is amazing!
  12. These are a bunch of MOCs I made before I joined SoNE or GoH. They have no theme or world and were built when I had a very small collection of bricks. Comments are welcome!
  13. Whatever Lego produces in the next wave of Hobbit sets won't hold a candle to this MOC! You've done a fantastic job of representing Smaug! The way you used actual Lego gold pieces for the belly is ingenious and shows so much dedication! I love how this is more accurate to the book than the movie (curse you Jackson!) Thank you for not including a cross bow. And, as a side note to the one who mentioned it, Bard only used a black arrow in the book, so the bow itself is fine being brown. Your buildings are also incredible! I love the way you made the roofs and your dark brown highlights on the watchtower are very nice! Your windows using the headlight bricks is a technique I've not seen before, and I really like it! I also like the small pieces of "stuff" laying around like the black wheel and the barrels. Your water is simple, but gives just the right feel. I love that you've created a feeling of depth without having to use different layers of plates to accomplish it. My only critique is that you miss-spelled "and" in your title. Can a mod maybe change that please? I hope I'm getting the point across that this is one amazing MOC. Incredible!
  14. I am a huge fan of Tolkien and I have to say that this is probably the best tribute to his work that I've ever seen done in Lego.
  15. Very cool little build! BTW, I want your goat! I totally missed out on getting those before they were $9 each on bricklink. I hope they make a come back in a future Lego set.
  16. Thanks for the update SK! I really appreciate it!
  17. Feed them to your vampires and zombies maybe? There doesn't seem to be much other use for them in GoH.
  18. Nice choice of minifigure head
  19. See! This is why I couldn't join Kaliphlin, I don't injure myself or get sick enough!
  20. There's that word "lurk" again! I swear, 1 out 5 new members uses that word when they join us! Though, may I say, whether you are lurking or not, it's good to have you in GoH (but you joined the wrong guild!).
  21. Ok, we really need some fresh conversation here. I'm really not trying to double post, but it has been 8 days since my last one so I feel justified. Here is my question for everyone. How do you all feel about mausoleums in GoH graveyards? Do you think that is too advance for the GoH world or is it medieval enough to fit? I know crypts and regular graves are more accurate, but I thought I'd poll the audience on this one.
  22. Nice use of the baseplate, the Dino fins, and the round reverse tiles. Great work!
  23. Wow. Wow, wow, wow, and wow. This is gorgeous! I love the concept!
  24. I've never watched the show, but I can still appreciate this awesome MOC! Great work with the element effects (I especially like the air-Andorran she's on) and great work with the polar bear!
