It would be better for you to keep the entries separate. You'd be welcome to include a shot with both combined. But there should be a shot of just the ship and a shot of just the Coruscant scene for judging purposes.

Great questions, I'll update the category with my responses here. But it does have to be a spaceship capable of flight in a vacuum. It can be any spaceship of any size from a TIE Fighter to a Star Destroyer. As for color, any color is acceptable as long as it's not grey-scale. So no greys, whites or blacks. You can pick a ship that's already colorful and build it or change it's color. But the idea is to pick a bland ship and make it colorful.

May the 4th be with you. Welcome to Eurobrick's annual Star Wars contest! There are many ways to participate, and lots of ways to win! Four different categories, multiple prizes, and a chance to participate in our role-playing Star Wars game Mysteries are all part of the fun this year. General Rules The contest runs May 1st through July 1st. As long as it's still July 1st, 2024 somewhere in the world, you can still enter. All entries must be new builds not shown online or publicly before May 1st, 2024. Only official LEGO elements should be used. Avoid third party parts or clone bricks. Digital entries will be allowed. All digital entries must use only existing pieces in existing colors. Entries may be updated as long as the contest is still open. All entries must be posted as a new topic in the Watto’s Junkyard forum with the title prefixed by, "[M4-24 - category] - entry name". (For example, "[M4-24 - 12x12 Vignette] – Sarlacc Pit".) You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on one picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited. It is also prohibited to use the Lego logo in any picture. Size restrictions, if applicable, are specified in the category description. A link should be included in this thread to ensure your entry is counted. This contest is open to all EB members, even if they joined EB after the contest has begun, with the exception of the Star Wars staff, who are not eligible to win prizes. Each contestant can only win 1 prize, if multiple categories are won by the same contestant, he/she chooses which prize to receive and the other prizes will be awarded to the runner ups. You can use this stamp on your photos if you'd like: All entries can also by submitted to our Mysteries game. Any entry submitted to both this contest and Mysteries will earn double points within the Mysteries game. Come check it out! Judging Method There will be a team of judges who will score builds based on the following criteria: Category: Pass/Fail Does your build fit the category? Majority vote of the judges decides pass/fail if the vote isn't unanimous. Storytelling ?/10 Does your build communicate a story all on it's own? Aesthetics ?/10 Detailing, build composition, and visual impact. Technical Ability ?/10 How well you use building techniques. SNOT, NPU, and movement are all elements of this category. Final Score: ?/30 Individual Awards Grand Admiral: awarded to the competitor with the highest total score combined from all entered categories. To win the Grand Admiral prize you must enter at least 3 categories. Categories Duel of the Fates Good vs Evil, Rebels vs Empire, Jedi vs Sith; there are countless duels between two groups in Star Wars. Build at least 4 (but no more than 8) custom minifigures depicting a conflict between two parties. You may use groups seen in any Star Wars media or create your own as long as it fits in the Star Wars universe. Side builds may accompany your minifigures but you may use no more than 100 pieces. Pieces used to kit out your minifigures and the figures themselves don't count against the 100 piece limit. Example: Sabine's Paint A lot of Star Wars ships are grey. But as Sabine showed us they don't always have to stay that way. Build an example of an existing Star Wars ship that is colorful! Your ship must already exist within Star Wars media and at least 50% must be a bright color. Your ship must be a spaceship capable of flight in a vacuum. It can be any spaceship of any size from a TIE Fighter to a Star Destroyer. Any color is acceptable as long as it's not grey-scale. So no greys, whites or blacks. You can pick a ship that's already colorful and build it or change it's color. But the idea is to pick a bland ship and make it colorful. An extra note for judging, it can be hard to score points in Storytelling for the ship category. Think about including battle damage or other elements that tell a story as soon as you look at the ship. Example: Here is an example of an existing SW ship with color, though for this category it would need more color and less grey: Built by J F Here's an example of a ship with a lot of color, though it's not an existing SW ship: Built by Finn Roberts The Phantom Menace Re-create a scene from Star Wars Episode 1. Any size or scale is acceptable. Example: Built by Alper I Built by AC Pin Coruscant From the rich high-rises to the dark underbelly, Coruscant is full of different places. Build a scene showcasing one or more of these. There is no size limit, go as big as you want! Example: Built by Hypolite Bricks Prizes Duel of the Fates - First place wins a set or sets with an equivalent value up to 40 Euro as their prize like: - Second place wins these two foil packs: Sabine's Paint - First place wins a set or sets with an equivalent value up to 70 Euro as their prize like: - Second place wins these two foil packs: The Phantom Menace - First place wins a set or sets with an equivalent value up to 80 Euro as their prize like: - Second place wins these two foil packs: Coruscant - First place wins a set or sets with an equivalent value up to 150 Euro as their prize like: - Second place wins these two foil packs: Grand Admiral - A set or sets with an equivalent value up to 230 Euro as their prize like: Fine Print By entering, you consent to Eurobricks reposting your entry on Eurobricks' social media channels, crediting you. Prizes supplied by TLG and are subject to the rules below. Prizes supplied by Eurobricks are non-changeable. Prize values are determined in accordance with German Shop at Home and prizes are subject to availability on the Shop at Home in the winners' local countries. Some back and forth with Eurobricks staff might be required to select an available prize. Prizes could take 8-10 weeks to arrive but we will keep you updated as much as we are able.

MYSTERIES: Introduction and Rules
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
Hmm, thanks for point this out. The sheet just needed to be refreshed. It should be good now. I need to look into how to get it to auto-refresh. As for grid control, it's the first to 100. After that, it's either increments of 50. So the next team to 150 or 200 would be able to re-take or re-assert control. As Thaum said. -
I think it depends on what you intend to do with the figs. If you're going to display them then keeping the torso and legs attached is probably best. As you said constant assembly and disassembly could weaken the torso. If you're going to do minifigure customization I'd store them separate. That's what I do. Parts will break every now and then, but I think keeping them stored separate has been best. I'm in France and the best option I've found is Stanley. I buy them off Amazon when there's a good sale.

This is an interesting discussion, but it doesn't exactly belong here. Either wrap it up or start a new topic to finish the discussion on UCS sets. -
L3-37: Congratulations, you're liberated. Scoot. ... I don't know. Free your brothers or sisters or something. Unbeknownst to her, L3's words would have repercussions 15 years later. Some of the droids inspired by her act in "liberating" them escaped Kessel and have carried on a quiet rebellion across the galaxy. Until know their rebellion has been quite, simple acts like poisoning the drinks of their masters or tempering with the repulsers on a speeder. But something has changed and now beings on planets everywhere are facing open rebellion by droids of all types! Dark Side Our facilities on Rasterous have reported droid trouble. We can't afford to have any delays with their shipment of supplies with the Rebels trying to exploit any perceived weakness. Find and deactivate those droids at once! Mercenaries What's that pounding on the door? Oh, it's a droid wanting equal pay or it's weight in gold? Blast it for me will you? Light Side A droid has taken hostages on Thustra? And another has disabled our X-wings on Tierfon? We have enough to worry about with the Empire still trying to destroy us. Quick, send some ships to deal with the problem before it gets out of hand! Your efforts are futile. We will have our revenge on the lifeforms! Contest Specifics: No gimmicks, just double points! Each person can build in each category up to 2 times for a total of 8 entries maximum. Entries will receive a score based on the sector entered for the contest. If you submit an entry for R10 your points will be placed in R10. Cat A: Show what kind of ship the errant droids stole from Kessel. Was it a fighter, a freighter, or something else? Did they land it successfully or did it crash? No need to build an entire ship, you can build a partial one and show it crashed on a planet's surface. Just make sure you pick a planet in the sector you're building in. There's great opportunity for Storytelling points here. Cat B: Show a droid liberating another droid(s). Is it a protocol droid removing the restraining bolt from an R2 unit? Or is in an R5 unit communicating code with a binary lifter? Cat C: Not every droid is convinced that freedom is what it wants. Show what happens when a droid rejects the idea of rebellion. Is it tortured by the other droid(s)? Or does it convince the rebellious droid that it's acts of violence are illogical? Cat D: Repercussions! Show want happens when a droid goes rogue. Is the pool filled with hyperdrive coolant instead of water? Are the pets set free? Is the owner murdered in his sleep? The Rules: All entries must be entered using this form: Link to Submission Form All rules in the Core Rules topic apply unless otherwise stated in this explanation or the rules above. There are no restrictions on the size/form/content of the builds other than the specifics described above. Each person can enter up-to 8 MOCs for this contest, 2 for each category. All entries will earn XP for their team based on their score. Winners will earn additional XP. The Episode will run from Apr 13th to May 27th. As long as it is still May 27th somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified from the episode and will only earn normal XP points. The criteria by which your MOCs will be scored is 1) Storytelling, 2) Aesthetics, and 3) Technical Ability. You can earn up to 10 points in each category for a max total of 30 points per entry. This episode/contest is open to all players of Mysteries, even if they joined EB or signed up for the game after the episode has begun. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to the start date of this episode. You can use creations for this contest in other forums or contests, but it should not have been displayed before the start date for this contest. All entries must be built from real LEGO or with Lego Digital Designer. 3rd party parts may be allowed if used to customize characters and in small quantities. I.E. guns or decals. 3rd party bricks are not allowed to be intentionally used (if you have a Megablock 2x2 brick in a wall of Lego bricks you won't be penalized). You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on one picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited,. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. The Prizes: The team with the most points pre-bonuses will get an extra 10 XP in the sector of their choice. The team with the 2nd most will get an extra 5 XP.

Thank you all for your patience. I've had a lot of Real Life stuff keeping from the game. But Episode 5 is almost ready to launch. And I've got big plans for the game coming this summer. Keeping building, let me know if you have any questions, and invite a friend to play! -
EPISODE 4 - Hyperdrive Malfunction!
MKJoshA replied to MKJoshA's topic in Mysteries: A Star Wars Role-Playing Game
After a massive search and rescue operation the missing ships have been found! The Mercenaries with 3 entries, one in each category, have scored 29 points (before bonuses applied). The Light Side with 1 entry in C, have scored 15 points. The Dark Side with 2 entries, both in A, have scored 27 points. The Mercenaries, leaving from Formos in T10, passed through and ended up in Nimia in S9. Their points will be placed in S9. The Light Side, leaving from Phindar in P6, passed through Lucrazec and ended up in Arda in Q6. Their points will be placed in Q6. The Dark Side, leaving from Commenor in N10, passed through Zeltros and ended up in Kashyyyk in P9. Their points will be placed in P9. The Mercs won an extra 25 points to be placed where they want. The Dark Side broke rules and built 2 Cat As, so as a penalty The Light Side gets the extra 15 points and The Dark Side gets an extra 10 points. Let me know where you want those extra points placed. It can be anywhere you currently have access to. -

Meanwhile I'm still waiting for the red clone trooper here in France. I see a bunch of them on Bricklink being sold from Germany. Has anyone seen the red clone trooper outside of there? We still have tons of Palatine magazines.
