  1. Sometimes topic kicks serve a good purpose. I can't believe I never commented on this one. Your cars are very clever designs: I really like the use of the seats as sides for the car. I really like your 1930s interior items: very simple, yet highly effective.
  2. It probably has to do with the wider range of themes LEGO brings out these days compared to the 1980s/1990s. Each theme gets a certain number of sets (remember the discussions about LEGO mixing various types of road plates in one set and putting straight and curved track together in a set) and the lower number of sets tends to go at the expense of the small sets. But yeah, I remember the days where there was much more choice within a theme (the total number of small sets available probably isn't much smaller, just more scattered) like Town to get birthday sets.
  3. Two very good sets, but in the end I'd go with the beach house. It has a design that sets it apart from most other Creator houses and has great re-usable parts: lots of windows, black roof tiles. I like the color scheme of the Apple Tree House much better though, whereas the value-for-money of the Beach House is better again.
  4. It wasn't called Creator back then, but this is the first to my knowledge.
  5. This immediately reminded me of the classic town set that it is inspired by. A really excellent job on modernizing/modularizing it. All the interior details are great and I really like how you've integrated the loading area for the mail vans.
  6. The color scheme is great for an Asian restaurant and all the detailing on the exterior is very creative.
  7. I am a fan of the Creator Houses series. I really like that they aren't open-back and can easily be placed in any spot in a town layout. In my view they go relatively well with the vehicles that are out in the City series (even though they don't fit in most of the houses' garages and the modular buildings. Buildings in the City theme are severely undersized compared to these, but also compared to the vehicles and ideally shouldn't be placed to close to either the modulars or these Creator houses.
  8. Great display Hinckley. I had seen some of it on your Brickzone site, but it's great to see it all put together. My favorite has to be the Fabuland fire station.
  9. Bring on the speculations about a new ninja theme (still my best guess is that they are surplus production from the vintage minifig collection)
  10. Hello Clarisse, welcome to EB. Incredible how you managed to stay without a single post for over a year. I made 2,500 in that time.

That's been the case for most (if not all) City sets over the past years. The letters are (supposedly) the designers' initials. edit: sorry, didn't notice the new page and Holodoc's answer.
  12. Check this. Signature (mini)figure... a representation of yourself in LEGO form
  13. The Internet 'Wayback Machine', it really takes you back...
  14. Some pictures on Brickshelf.
  15. Check the previous page
  16. That sounds handy. Does it consider text and images? How does it work: does it resize stuff or does it just not let you put in a sig that's over the size limit?
  17. Seemed like the vote was pretty split on this. I prefer the pinned topics separated, especially with the way they're being used on EB (mainly for indices), so I'm glad that's implemented. The first time I logged on to the new board, my first impression was... "hmmm, so this is it?". But that was only for a few minutes. I really like all the improvements and new functions. Some style issues (relative font sizes, etc.) were quickly resolved and I'm already fully accustomed to the new board. You admins have really done some excellent work over the past week. No problems whatsoever with that little box. I can imagine it being more intrusive on very small resolution screens, but you can't keep fully tailoring for those forever. Skins developed in the future can undoubtedly better take the existence of that box into account. The newly developed Technic and Action Figures banners already have less 'content' on that side of the banner.
  18. Welkom/Welcome to Eurobricks. We already have an Iz, so we'll just call you Izy.
  19. I like the new poll icon/brick. The bars nicely set it apart as a poll from the other topics. In general, I really like the new icons: simple, Lego, and effective.
  20. Happy Birthday all.
  21. Yes, you need to be a Vassal (10 posts) to use the PM system.
  22. A European member here has reported getting a box by ordering 60. Why would they first clear their currently open box and then open a new one when you order 60 instead of just sending a closed box? Unless of course they don't work from the boxes...
  23. What he said and I also like that you've used some of the pieces to create an interior for it.
  24. WhiteFang reported these exact same numbers for Singapore. It might be different for the North-American market (they have different barcodes as well), but I doubt it. But I'm sure someone who picked up a box in North-America can easily tell us...

    That's a reasonable price, but... ... this I was expecting €60-€70...
