  1. I like that you've kept the look relatively sober, but at the same time spent so much time on the finishing. However, what sets this frigate really apart from most of the others I have seen, is the beautiful interior. And you even managed to build a storage area below the second deck. Excellent work Perfectionist.
  2. Great Western town you've created so far. As others have pointed out, the wall technique on your latest building is very creative. Would really like to see it 'in brick'.
  3. There have been discussions about a Greek or Roman theme even before the launch of the minifig series (e.g., this topic). I'm afraid the release of this minifig in the minifig series will more likely point to there not being a Greek theme anytime soon, because these were designed to not be related to any current or future lines. Just like there most likely won't be a circus theme because of the release of the clown (series 1) and the ring master (series 2), a 'Baywatch' theme because of 'Pamela' and the surfer (series 2), or a resurrection of the ninja or wild west themes. But, you never know of course.
  4. Is there a reason why alignments are only (planned to be) revealed in the morning? It is different to the games I've seen/played in. It is essentially hindering the town compared to the scum (maybe only slighty, but still), because they can't use the information on the alignment of the player that is voted out in choosing their night actions.
  5. Agreed, fits the types of games played here nicely. Much better than dice or roulette. Excellent work on the skin Shadows and congratulations Draggy on finally having your own dragon skin. Riiiiiiiiiiiight...
  6. I really like your series and this is probably my favorite so far. The scale and detailing of these modules is perfect.
  7. I once made a scan of a non-torn polybag, in case anyone is interested.
  8. Now you made me curious. Excellent work on the scenery by the way, it's worthwhile for the builds alone to follow the game.
  9. Lovely modular BlueBard. I like the exterior styling and color scheme a lot and there's plenty of interior detailing to enjoy. Buena Vista Social Club inspiration? One nitpicking comment would be that I don't really like the transparent piece above the ground floor door. It looks like you just placed the door in there and it's not secured with those four studs showing.
  10. This would be my view as well, but... ... they still keep pushing out these licensed themes, so they must be making money on them. A positive side-effect seems to be that a lot of the new pieces introduced seem to be produced (initially at least) for licensed sets. Look at all the new pieces PoP has brought us. These inevitably spill over to the classic themes at one time or another.
  11. Got something planned? You gotta have bananas... and cherries of course.
  12. Great homage to a LEGO classic.
  13. Germany was impressive. Argentina was pretty disappointing. This really is turning out to be the tournament of the great teams instead of (merely) the great players. Germany was excellently organized. Spain will get some real competition in the semi-finals.
  14. Happy birthday Draggy and Alice.
  15. After all the fouls committed against Robben in the first half, the Brazilians were lucky they didn't get more yellow cards already. Making every foul look worse than it actually was, was what the Brazilians did during the entire first half. And although I don't like it either, I guess they had it coming. I'm just glad the Dutch didn't let themselves get provoked too much this time (I still remember a game against Portugal...). Having said that, they were nowhere in the first half and the Brazilians just failed to finish the job then. After they got back in the game after 1-1, the match completely turned around. I think Van Bommel played fantastic, exactly the way a defensive mid-fielder should play. Bit lucky he didn't catch a yellow card. De Jong was lucky to not get send off for that hard tackle in the penalty area. Although he was going for the ball, it could easily have been seen differently by the referee. It was a bit disappointing to see them miss two or three huge chances in the final minutes. Clear fatigue showing there.
  16. I was wondering about that. Thanks for the behind the scenes insights. Never recall seeing that one before on the board. It's a cool color scheme though.
  17. I've heard of multiple people getting the exact same response. So, it indeed is 'policy' as they indicate. But surely you are going to make them ship you plain legs and a keychain of you choice? Just pretend you went back to the store.
  18. 'Problem' is that it is overridden by theme skins in most subforums.
  19. Poor Hinckley. Looks like Sieggy has been working out... Nice use of the Indiana Jones track.

    my 1 MOC

That feather indeed looks like Playmobil.
  21. I really like the hooklift truck a lot. The upside-down half-stud offset chairs used as fenders look great and the striping looks great. They are indeed being used a lot by fire departments here and carry high-capacity pumps, specialized rescue equipment, mobile command posts, big boats, etc. I like the idea for the van. The cabin is a little 'too brick-built' for my taste, but the unavailability of windows is one of the drawbacks of building 5-wide. The front and the fenders look very good though. I like the simple, but accurate back section though. Nice work Ricey!
  22. Nope, I see it too. I don't use it either, but I could be useful to people from the Southern hemisphere since the default banner is based on Northern hemisphere summer or winter.
  23. Great little scene. Excellent use of perspective.
  24. Look up some of the instructions of recent City cars (like 3177) on LEGO's building instructions site if that's what you mean. If you're looking for more advanced techniques, check out some of the car MOCs posted here in the Town forum, on Classic-Town.net, or on LUGnuts.

    City 2010

I think this was determined to be fake, since it carries the same set number as the new City House.
