  1. Maybe he means you But I guess what Big Cam is referring to is the guy performing with the monkey... I agree with most people's comments on the exterior: you need an arch around that door and the roof is... flat The interior is really nice though. I really like all the details.
  2. Welcome to Eurobricks! The mods should be able to answer that... There are lots of people from Sweden here... And... the plural of Lego is Lego (don't ever use 'Legos' again ) We also have quite a few Western fans around here (most notably our Town/Train moderator TheBrickster) and there were quite a few excellent Western MOCs posted to Eurobricks over the past months.
  3. Those look a little too detailed for my taste... especially when painted.
  4. I think this would have been a very useful parts-pack for your Western train TheBrickster. But you're doing fine without it...
  5. This is... HUGE. The back of the ship - in a menacing black - is my favorite part.
  6. Great resemblance. I really like B-A's hairdo. Are all of these original minifig parts (I ask because I don't recognize the middle two torsos)?
  7. Eeehm, get an account? Or use some other online image hosting service such as flickr (tutorial on posting images from flickr).
  8. Yup, it's also in the new Prince of Persia fort.
  9. I don't know yet, because I don't own any of those. But some people seem to care. Although the pics on the polish forum don't look too bad. Too bad, I liked the old mold with the thicker edge on the shovel and the rounded top.
  10. The preliminaries of the City advent calendar have also had hand-drawn boxart in the past year(s), but the final version had photos of actual minifigs... Wizards are not fantasy, they're CLASSIC castle!
  11. Whereas I think your exaggerating a bit, I agree with the core of what you're saying. I'm quite sure these collectible minifigs are not going to be even close to their biggest mistake ever (replacing the Town line with Town Jr., like you mention) and if anything will be quite a success for TLG, but I'm also a bit concerned about it changing their brand image for the worse. Over the past years TLG has been going back to their roots with a re-born Town theme (that even expands beyond rescue and construction), nice Creator sets, and a range of amazing Exclusives. These collectibles, but to a greater extent 'cheap Chinese plastic', could damage (probably not destroy) that carefully rebuilt brand image. Wouldn't it be much better if they'd just release these as minifig packs at like €10 per 3 via S@H with some exclusive packaging or as magnet sets?
  12. I'd have turned one into an engine (taking the compartment doors from your earlier ladder), so that you'd have both and engine and a ladder. Also, the ladder turntable on your newest ladder looks a little too bulky (same problem as with Lego's 7239 set). Nevertheless, I like the cab designs.
  13. I saw this show up on flickr this morning. Both the truck and the excavator are amazing. I like that the truck is 4-, 5-, and 7-wide at the same time... excellent work on making all these transitions. And the orange stripe really adds to the look. The excavator also is one of the best I've seen at this scale. Nice way of making the cabin for the operator. Have a safe flight.

    City 2010

Looks like it comes with the 10th attempt at building a snow man and almost the same Christmas tree as last year, but lots of nice toy designs. I remember such a drawing as box art for the calendar from last year as well, it will likely be changed by pictures of the real figures on the final box. Would make sense for TLG to change that picture to a set that is actually in production at the time it's released. Even better would be a whole sticker sheet with shrunken box designs of true Lego classics from the 1980s until now (or some pictures of some of the Lego Exclusives).
  15. Excellent illustration again on how studs can actually aid the shape of objects instead of distracting from it. I especially like how you've used the yellow 1 x 1 round plate in the second picture.

    Rifle Island

I bought those two sets recently myself and thought about doing the same thing, but you beat me to it. Looks like a decent little fort
  17. Indeed, worthy of both
  18. Nice design for the doors. And I like the way you've managed to integrate that red stripe on the first bus.
  19. Nice modular building! I especially like the roof design. But agreed... modulars really need interiors these days
  20. Happy birthday Svelte
  21. This is amazing work Teddy. The exterior is already really great, with the red/dark red textured walls, but then the interior simply blows you away. Like Zorbas, I wouldn't know where to start, but - next to what's been said already - I really like the idea of having an 'upstairs' area in the cafe with a view of the ground floor. Now I know what I'm missing in the more recent Modulars released by Lego: all these interior separating walls and cleverly integrated staircases (both Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium are rather big, simple builds on the inside). I would have scheduled a blog on Classic-Town.net if someone hadn't beaten me too it
  22. Great way to work with the - undoubtedly - limited selection of elements available in dark-red. I now see you've SNOT-ed the whole cab. Too bad you can't add stuff like compartments (probably because of the limitations of dark-red). But the dark-red, gold, and chrome sure look sweet together. How's progress on the station?
  23. I just noticed the handcuffs being used as a bicycle lock/chain... Very inventive...
  24. Hmm, I was going to say that's one of the few things I don't particularly like. The passed-out troll is neat though!
  25. Great MOC benny. I really like your modularized version of 7641. I like the way you've integrated the bike shop and added a workshop with a rolling door. The pizza place on the first floor is also really well done (the bay window looks a little too modern to me though). Excellent work overall!
