  1. I expected our Walrus admin to be a little less less Popeye-ish. Great drawings again...
  2. Thanks for posting pics... always nice to see the real deal.
  3. It still needs to arrive, but I've just bought a 6265 Sabre Island, together with 6259 Broadside's Brig, and 6235 Buried Treasure for €15 including shipping! I got 6245 Harbor Sentry (apparently only missing a paddle) as a bonus!
  4. That's French
  5. Thanks for the pictures. You really captured some nice details. Did they give you renewed inspiration for your ship?
  6. I like them all... there is something to say for every building. The architectural style of the theater, the really nicely finished facade of the town hall, and the authentic look of the garage. This scale is a nice compromise between the modular building line and the regular city line. It basically takes the scale of the regular city line and adds the detailing of the modular building line. Although I really like the modular building line and as long as I can afford it I will buy everything that comes out, I think the Town Plan scale has an excellent value to price ratio.
  7. Simple question: What's the best way to clean dirty Lego sails?
  8. I inverted the 1 x 2 tile modified with handle as a mudguard on my fire engine.
  9. How about not having a pet at all... my favorite option
  10. 6285 Black Seas Barracuda and 6277 Imperial Trading Post arrived this morning. I got them for € 130 including shipping. After checking the set inventories, seems like I need to make some Bricklink orders to complete them. Nothing expensive though. Some parts are really dirty and on the BSB there are even remains of glue on some parts: again nothing essential, luckily. edit: oh, and the 'mysterious' pirate/merchant from 6277 is missing and the admiral has the wrong torso and face (but I knew that before buying)
  11. Although I'm not in the competition, I offered the suggestion to transform martinsuper's Bluecoat team into a Blackcoat team. That way you can have blue vs. red and blue vs. black for the semi-final. The final would then only be a problem if again the two blue teams won. I agree with my name- and country-sharing captain that the reds would get off a little too easy if they didn't have to go through a semi-final.
  12. You need a LOT more than one or two expansion packs to create this track. I would have really liked it, if it was included in a nice big layout, now its just showing off.
  13. My favorite *small* soldier sets as well. I don't own any of the two yet. I like that it's built on a little dock and has a blue baseplate. The window, doors, and arches give it a really nice look for such a relatively small set.
  14. Then again... there are 2,300 member with 0 post and 4,000 with less than 10 posts. Now that I'm at it: 11 members have more than 5,000 posts and there's a few spammers with more than 10,000 even.
  15. I saw the rip-off on Brickshelf and thought it somehow was your Brickshelf-gallery... ah well, at least people think you make cool stuff and reproduce it. Some credit would have been nice though.
  16. Come on guys, stay away from our thread, do your admin-chit-chatting in your own threads.
  17. It's growing much much much much much faster at the moment. Since I joined early 2009, almost 2,000 people signed up... and some got banned again .
  18. Looks like WhiteFang is gonna whack you with his sword.
  19. Oh megabloks, don't let this turn into a redcoat versus bluecoat discussion again, only now on a different continent...
  20. That's a nicely set up battle scene. Looks simple, but posing all the minifigs must take quite some time.
  21. 6241 Loot Island for €13
  22. I didn't even notice that! Very subtle indeed.
  23. Actually, I still have to think of a MOC idea, but once I got it I plan to order some bricks and then build it. I should have pictures up before Christmas. Sorry, couldn't resist. I agree with A-S and aawsum, and it should be clear to you by now as well... this isn't gonna work. The title of the MOC sounds very promising though!
  24. Make sure to keep track of multiple post by the same person. In case you do a bad job at this: I want an S@H Pirate exclusive (1) ship with multiple decks and (2) port. But seriously, overall I think a clear picture is starting to emerge. I don't really see (and maybe also I don't want) Lego making something that clearly associates with one nation. But something in the spirit of the VOC trading company would be great. Merchant ships, civilians...
