  1. That's one of the things I like about the new setup. When a scum conversion failed in the previous game, they didn't know if they tried to recruit one of the killers or an unconvertible townie. The possibility of a failed conversion makes the masons more like the recruiting scum team. It retains the uncertainty about affiliations but without many of the problems with the cop role in the previous game.
  2. Mafiascum's Mafiawiki is a great resource. A miller is basically a townie who turns up scum when investigated. If I read def's explanation correctly the recruitment blockers prevent a conversion by targeting the intended target for conversion and not the converter (one of the head masons), so they're not typical blockers who prevent someone from carrying out their action. They work more like doctors trying to prevent a kill.
  3. I'd call a blocker someone who tries to block the person performing the recruitment action, i.e., one of the head masons, and a doctor someone who protects the likely target of a recruitment action (like Scouty and TinyPies for the SK/scum kills in the last game). It's not like it matters what the role title is (you could call it a seer if you like ), but it's a much more powerful scum role if they can target likely targets for recruitment by the masons.
  4. So the 'recruitment blockers' target the likely conversion targets? That sounds more like a doctor role (not a blocker role), a more powerful role to the scum, and was exactly what I was talking about in my previous post.
  5. These changes certainly address some issues with the original game. When a couple of nights have passed it becomes pretty clear who holds what kill, so anonymising the kill makes it easier for all sides to claim. The masons make the town more like the recruiting scum team and give them a better chance when claiming to the scum. The scum still hold a lot more information, so blindly claiming to be the recruiting or killing scum by a town block still only has a 50/50 chance of being credible. Because the team they're claiming too know if they're killers or recruiters, the claiming town block has to make an educated guess (based on tracking or watching results perhaps). At the same time, removing the cop and introducing the masons removes the town's ability to confirm someone as scum. It's impossible to judge balance without having the complete role list, but making the town more like the scum certainly sounds more balanced. The recruitment blockers don't sound very powerful because they have a pretty low success probability. You could consider recruitment protectors, but, depending on the rest of your setup, that might swing the balance to the scum teams again. 1) I started in the same game as you and I played a couple of games since. 2) We'll see what more we can change in Untitled Mafia III. 3) It sounds gross. I like it when people are active, but the number of posts in a day has also gotten slightly out of hand in some games lately (especially with games with more than 20 people).
  6. Lasse and his mother have completed this wonderfully detailed Ancient Greek layout over a period of 10 months. Check out all the little details in the Historic Themes forum.
  7. Please use this thread to discuss the Servo Showdown further. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for another lovely Fabuland review. I really like this set. Perhaps it's because it's the one vehicle in the series that used this roof I didn't have as a kid, but more likely it's because it reminds me so much of a hot rod (which should of course be driven by a raccoon ). The colour scheme is great and, in my view, the model strikes a really nice balance between using basic and more specialised pieces. This makes it more difficult to build alternative models, which perhaps explains the absence of any on the back of the box, but it certainly improves the looks of the vehicle. Vrooooooommm!
  9. Thanks for another brilliant review. Despite the lack of many of the specialised pieces that were introduced in later waves, this set still captures the essence of Fabuland: a carefree world built with bright basic colours occupied by adorable anthropomorphic animals (poor one-armed Bernard ). The alternative builds show what can be built with a set composed largely out of basic bricks. Fabuland provided such a great transition from Duplo to the 'Legoland'/System sets in the late 1970s and early 1980s. And you're right of course, the bear mould, but especially it's variants, make the adowablest characters.
  10. I have moved this topic to the BSTF section and edited the topic title for you. You should be able to edit the first post with your offer. I also made sure you can use the PM system.

  19. This (there's a newer version, but that isn't available in any brown).
  20. It looks like Peter's torso with the shirt print missing from the torso and the white printing removed from the arms. See this picture from Pandora's review of Olivia's House:
  21. There's a chance you won't have the problem if you use the 'full version' of the site on your mobile device (instead of the 'mobile version'). The staff discussed another technical issue which occurs when switching from the mobile version to the full version of the site.

  23. Then I'm afraid you'll just have to accept the fact that we don't allow you to sell stuff on EB. It's all in the Site Guidelines that you agreed to when signing up. That's commendable.
  24. ... and many other kids would love to win it too. As good as your intentions may be, we do not allow members to join EB simply to promote an entry/entrant in a contest. Link removed and topic locked.
  25. Indeed (on both counts). As a reminder: we don't allow members with less than 100 posts to start topics to sell in the BSTF section of EB.
