  1. Thanks for the in-depth and entertaining review. As you clearly illustrate, the stripped-down set makes a great generic shop. The curved windows are great elements and they really make all the interior details stand out nicely, even when viewed from the outside. It's also great to see the old 'Fabuland sign' revived again in a slightly smaller System scale. I hope this will make it's way into more sets and themes (perhaps the Modular Buildings one day). I'm not sure how much I actually like the use of the light-aqua bricks, but I guess there would be too much white otherwise.
  2. Eurobricks Friends Moderator and RA Teacher Pandora reviews one of the new January releases in the Friends theme: 41007 Heartlake Pet Salon Check out the great parts selection and all the little details in this set in the Town forum. Feel free to leave your comments too.
  3. Given that we have to vote, it could also be a good way to hide one's voting behaviour. I wonder what you're taking. You seem very focused on people displaying scum-tells. Remember that def said that the two scum sides will never be able to verify each other and it's in the town's best interest to not appear too townie either. I don't see a way for the scum to credibly signal they're scum at this point. Says the guy who stole my pretty hair. Did anyone else notice Darkdragon is very good at answering clearly rhetorical questions tonight, but not the real questions that she was asked on day one?
  4. It looked more like a desperate attempt to save his own big behind and I guess he thought it'd be easier to contact people that hadn't voted for him.
  5. Helloooooooo Pelly! *raises hand*
  6. I seem to be invisible to Darkdragon too. Maybe it's a board glitch.
  7. How does it help us? What do we conclude if he's town? And if he comes up scum? Who would we go after next? Did you know you weren't allowed to unvote for mayor? People seemed to regret their vote for Flare (for mayor) after he spoke up. It would have been enough to say you considered supporting Hinck's vote for him and wait for him to speak up before actually placing your vote. You didn't provide much reasoning for why you specifically voted for him in your initial post. I know there's no way to defend yourself against this, but - given the timing of your post - I'm still not convinced you didn't see Hinck's post. To me it seemed like you were trying to get a bandwagon going for what you deemed a suitable candidate for mayor, for whatever reason. Maybe you wanted a noobish player up there. Indeed, I don't think it's fair to hold this against you, but there's still the matter of you not posting the puzzle piece right away. You made a post elsewhere on EB and a couple of posts in the day one thread before revealing your piece. In my view you only revealed it when it became apparent no one was lying about not having a piece. You've been pretty vocal early in the day, but went much quieter as people starting questioning your behaviour. And you still didn't reply to this. You sound like you have someone in mind who would want to kill her. If we're voting for whoever we think is most suspicious, I will Vote: Darkdragon If you're insinuating they could be on the same scum side, I doubt it given their mayor voting behaviour. But given Hinck thinks this is metagaming mafia, who knows? Whereas I agree it's not helpful to post your thoughts on the puzzle if you're close to figuring it out by yourself, why are you suggesting he did post it then? To scum-tell to the other scum-faction? Or do you think he already solved the puzzle before revealing his thoughts?
  8. Moved to Special Themes.
  9. I reviewed your posts and, indeed, you didn't post a lot on EB after the discussion on the missing pieces started, but it certainly wasn't the first thing you posted. You made a couple of posts in the day one thread before revealing your piece.
  10. I always make sure to read up on everything that's been written before I hit post and yours was only a short reply to Piratedave84. I embedded the quotes in response to this post by Hinck: Hmmm, I still think your timing's odd. If you just think it's "silly", surely there's nothing keeping you from posting it as soon as you can? We all know you're online all day. It seems you only posted when it became apparent that no one was lying about not having a piece.
  11. Why is there so much markup in your post ('size'-changes)? Why do some of you keep pushing for the one who got immunity to come forward? If it's a townie, in my view, it'll only help the scum. If it's an attempt to appear scummy, which we're supposed to do to not help the scum find each other, then well done. Indeed, I can follow along with not wanting to 'help the scum' on night zero as a strategy, but I don't understand why people didn't just post their piece at the start of day one. WIFOM, I know, but I don't think scum would - knowingly (remember there are two groups here) - nominate one of their own on day one and put them in the spotlight. The votes following yours have me more worried though. I'm not saying they were trying to elect one of their own, but I can see them benefiting from having a relative noob in the position of mayor. Perhaps, as others have suggested, to convert him when the time comes. Even though there were 7 minutes in between your (short) posts and Hinckley's post (Hinck even managed to post again before you posted)? Relevant posts quoted for Hinck's convenience: Why not post it earlier today then? He didn't exactly run for mayor initially. I can imagine he has been hit by a role-playing action, but I doubt that he's not allowed to say anything useful. How about this, if he's not allowed to say anything useful today he can reply to this post with something about poo, if he's just messing about, he can reply to this post with something about pee?
  12. Don't forget that Redblade could have had a piece of the puzzle. In fact, with so many pieces, chances are he had one.
  13. We all know that. Yes, when going over the posts this morning I mean to comment on this (so I clicked on the multi-quote button on your post): But Scouty had already replied to you, so I deleted your (quoted) post again when replying. That's how the quoted posts got mixed up.
  14. Sorry, I messed up the (multi)quotes. I meant to quote Scouty of course:
  15. Hmm, that might not make you the best candidate for mayor then. Because they'd probably attract some other night actions too. Also, as Tammo suggests, there may be a role that prevents conversion. Between Cornelius and Flare, I'll go for... Mayor: CorneliusMurdock Still, they have to kill townies and they have the best chance of killing townies early in the game. I think they'll simply stay away from the mayor as he'll likely attract attention from other night actions and because the tie-breaker is more likely to be useful later on in the game. If a townie got the question right and they're immune to the scum's kill (and possibly conversion too), then yes, that's not a very good idea, because the scum would know who not to target. But... you'd clear anyone coming forward from being scum? As to asking everyone to reveal their puzzle pieces, it might be useful later on, but - given that Cecilie was withholding her piece too - I don't think we can really conclude too much from it right now.
  16. Very impressive. I'm moving this to Special Themes as it's not minifig-scale.
  17. I offered another option for the mayor vote. Your vote for Flare was rather random, but perhaps it's even more worrying that there were a couple of people who were really quick to agree with you. You sound like you have someone in mind who would want to kill her.
  18. Oh no! People died! Who would have thought? Sucks both of them were town though. And, oh my, you people talk a lot. I think def implied that not all townies are convertible, which would also fit with the two scum sides having no way to confirm each other. The quick voting for Flare is a little suspicious to me, especially considering unvoting for mayor is not allowed. I don't trust any of you, but the only townie move I've seen the previous night is Piratedave84 providing his piece of the puzzle together with his thoughts on what might be on the puzzle. While he was googling for the answer himself, his post was enough for someone else to solve the puzzle. Unless he's playing us and he posted after sending in the correct answer (which would be pretty clever), it was a move I don't see the scum make. And why is Cam trying to get himself lynched by talking poo all day and posting puzzle pieces too late to be useful?
  19. More wine? It's 9AM! I bet the scum are fine with an immortal townie for a night if they can just fly under the radar by presenting their puzzle pieces like a good townie. They'll just kill someone who's bad at puzzles. def (am I the only one wondering why his face is such a beautiful yellow?) said something about the scum getting an 'unkillable strong man ability' if they solve the puzzle.
  20. Sorry, I got no piece. And if the scum think exactly this way, they'll just present their pieces to avoid scrutiny. If only it were that easy. Elephants? Where? ... or the ones posting them hoping to avoid scrutiny. Did you just put wine in front of me? It's 8AM! You're not supposed to force them to match.
  21. Oh my, most of you look even worse than I imagined. It seems like I had to dye my hair because Trumpy over there signed up before I did. And why am I wearing Cecilie's old jumper? And just how do you know? Or are you just trying to score some free cake?
  22. We thought it'd be a good idea to promote you, because as a Mod you finally have someone to bow down before. You might want to get yourself a new Reg. Anyway, congratulations... I think.
  23. Go Fooooooooog!
  24. I assume you're talking about this... I see the game listed on 'Marktplaats' in the Netherlands regularly, so it doesn't seem to be really rare.
  25. Two groups of the same scum team, but they don't know each other? That's... brilliant. I like the idea and would very much like to play.
