  1. So, we were wrong about Ruxana. If she was indeed a tracker as she claimed, we have lost yet another important night action. This raises some more doubts with me about the person in contact with Samuel. The questions raised yesterday about that role by Patrick and me, among others, still stand. Samuel, can you shed some light on this today? Well, I'm sure Nika didn't intend to blow herself up. Maybe her target couldn't be killed or was protected or she herself was blocked? Except if there are indeed two mafia families... Given how much you normally notice at night, I wouldn't be surprised dear.
  2. Right, I think I've done a comparison once on a Dutch forum. I compared the price of 6382 (1980s fire station) with 7945, which showed that, adjusted for inflation, you get even more parts for the same amount of money. However, this comes at the expense of a less varied parts assortment per set.
  3. Happy Birthday Mini-Wizard!
  4. If Ruxana was the target, that's a tracker role and not a watcher. Tracker again, and a combination of watcher and tracker? If the Peeping Tom targeted Elena, he/she saw her both targeting Patrick and being targeted by Max. That suggests he/she can see both the target of his/her target and who is targeting his/her target (uhm, yeah that makes sense, just read it three times). What does this make Petr then, if he was nowhere to be found? I thought he was just a vanilla townie. And if he is indeed a combined watcher and tracker, wasn't anyone seen targeting Ruxana last night? With all the attention she received yesterday already, I would have expected her to be targeted last night. An inventor could have also handed out one-shot investigative night actions.
  5. I'm glad someone is analysing the situation a little more thoroughly than merely jumping on a bandwagon. There are a lot of questions left indeed. That's what's been so puzzling to me as well. Did he believe my husband got converted? Something definitely doesn't add up there. There is talk of him being in contact with the investigator, which should be his source of information, but then Dmitri claims to be that investigator himself... which is even more puzzling. But then again, I don't really see a reason for him to come forward as the investigator either, because the target he's painting on his head is huge. Ruxana may be talking to the wrong people. In fact, she admitted talking to people about her choice of target. So indeed, maybe she's being set up. There sure were a lot of people circling a few targets last night, if all of this is true, that's for sure. Samuel, is there a town tracker who followed Ruxana or is it a watcher who was targeting Petr? On the other hand, Ruxana is either being mislead by scum or is just scum herself. Her choice of targets, Donil before, and Zepher last night, still don't seem like the most straightforward choices and certainly don't take away my suspicion. I'm not sure she's scum at all, but I also don't see us reaching another conviction today, so I might as well add my... Vote: Ruxana (Roncanator) I'm sure you're smart enough to understand that that defense, true or not, is not helping you one bit as the information of Stanislav contacting people with his suspects was out already. No one is saying you're lying about it, it just... doesn't help you.
  6. Yay, another Paradisa review! This looks like a great (girl's) play set. As you indicated, there is lots of play value on a relatively small 16 x 32 base plate. And whereas I'm not such a fan of the color scheme (as I already noted in Pandora's review of 6403 Paradise Playground) and would prefer some brighter colors, the selection of pieces in Paradisa sets is pretty good. The minifig selection in these sets is simply excellent and pretty varied too, compared to sets of the time. And those ponytails must have been in fashion back then, but at least they don't all have the same hair color. I'm surprised to also find a full SNOT build, using the base plate as a wall, as an alternate model in this set. I wonder what the alternate build in the bottom-left corner is supposed to represent and whether it is as inventive as the fried-egg tap in 6403. And whereas the gambling odds are terrible, congratulations on getting a good deal on this MISB set!
  7. Congratulations to one of the gems of the Eurobricks community.
  8. Well, they were wrong apparently. I'm really impressed at what you managed to build with the limited variety of pieces and without slopes or plates. I really like the (wing-less) dragon and the parrot is simply perfect. The limitations are a little more apparent with some of the fruits, especially the banana. Over the years I bought a few of these basic brick boxes and indeed the limitations you mention didn't go unnoticed: too much blue, too many 2-wide bricks compared to 1-wide, and especially, a lack of plates. I do have two copies of 5584 Fun with wheels, which has a nice selection of basic bricks and plates, but even in that set, larger plates are not well represented.
  9. Well, good to see we were right about Donil. Samuel, we (at least I) realize that this doesn't clear Ruxana. It is helpful that you got the names of two potential scum from a now confirmed townie, if you are telling us the truth that is. Did he mention Denis and my husband's ( ) names to you as well? Too bad this success is overshadowed by the death of Stanislav and Petr. If Stanislav was indeed an inventor, we have lost yet another important night action. What's also striking is a fourth MO. Note that the gun used last night to kill Petr is not the same gun that 'Padme' used to kill the cannibal Elena (which we've only seen on night 2). Was one mafia family recruiting again last night (as on night 1 perhaps) and does this mean we've only seen the vigilante kill for the first time last night?
  10. Happy birthday def! Enjoy.
  11. As if you'd be stopped by that. Anyway: hilarious. Good to see your darkest Santa role-playing fantasies come to life, Hinck.
  12. Sorry, "not extremely useful" is what I meant to say of course.
  13. I'm not convinced at all. But it's not just Stanislav and me who think this way. I just added my reasoning to it, because I like to explain how I arrived at my conclusion. If you read my reasoning today, you'll see that I question Ruxana's choice of target (I don't think Donil really 'stood out') and her strong-arm option. On the other hand, her claim is undoubtedly going to get her lynched tomorrow if Donil turns up town, so I indeed question why someone would do that at that point (there were no votes cast yet if I recall correctly). Also, as I explained, Donil's role is extremely useful to the town. Because, what is there to act upon if he finds someone going out at night? Is it a mafia night action or a town night action? If the mafia find someone with a night action, that would make them a prime target for a night kill, because they know who's on their side, so it must be a town night action (or maybe even a rival mafia night action).
  14. I fall asleep for a little while (ok, I slept most of the afternoon here ) and oh my... so much catching up today. I really hope I don't have to explain why God made me raise my arms upon seeing a dead man lying in the street... I've been a faithful follower of my beloved God long enough to know that he wouldn't give anything away through pictures and definitely holds his followers in higher regard than that. After going through all you've said, it still comes down to either Ruxana or Donil today. We chose between an unblockable tracker and a weak tracker. As far as I can see, Ruxana has no reason at all to come forward so bluntly with her accusation today if she'd be lying, because - as Stanislav indicates - her head will be on the chopping block next. A weak tracker is not such a powerful role at all for the town, because a weak tracker (which Donil claims) only learns whether their targets go out at night or not. It can be very useful for the scum though, because anyone with a night action that is not one of them, is a very suitable target for a night kill, because it's either a townie or perhaps someone from a rival family. So, it could be that Donil was simply (scum)tracking Yuri, or he might use this tracker role as a cover for him actually killing Yuri (it could be either the results of one of his scum mates, but he also got told Yuri had a night action before making his claim). Based on this I will have to: Vote: Donil (Waterbrick Down)
  15. I agree, the kill will likely pass on among the Russian mafia, but still, hitting the godfather is great news, because he'd probably be hard to track down or investigate. And from last night's events, it seems indeed that he was doing the dirty work himself (at least last night), dressed up as Padme. Not if you're a townie, no. Well, the wording certainly suggests more than one mafia family. Yuri was not exactly an improbable target last night in my opinion. Although I think Ruxana's role, a tracker with a 'strong-arm' option, is a slightly more likely town role than a 'weak' tracker, which Donil claims, I do wonder about the choice of target. What exactly made Ruxana follow Donil last night?
  16. Indeed, Yuri, who maybe had an important (investigative) night action, turning up town only makes this issue all the more pressing. To my recollection, only Yuri said something about it, which didn't exactly clear things up either. I think it's odd to be talking about a 'nasty' night action only based on 'suspicion'.
  17. The speed at which the bandwagon took off, without you even replying to accusations, certainly had me worried. So, those voters would definitely be scrutinized. It's plausible as none of the kills so far are typical vigilante kills. Then there's the size of this town and agent Sky's words. I think it's very likely that we're facing two families. And the scum would know you think that, so they're in your 'cleared' book by passing up on what was not such an easy lynch after all. It could make sense for the scum, because you apparently clear them for that reason. I voted because I think a conviction always gives us at least something to work from. If not now, later when voting patterns become more important. But also, I wanted to avoid a penalty. And if it would be a penalty among the non-voters, I wouldn't want to be among them. Speaking of the penalty. Does anyone have an idea of what penalty we actually faced/are going to face? Don't tell me the scum got two kills for that last night.
  18. I believe Petr already said yesterday that Yuri passed on this information after night 1. Agreed, and if we assume Yuri got his information through a night action, it would make sense for the scum to kill him, because it looks like an investigative night action seen in that light. That may have simply been a guaranteed kill for the scum. I don't see why a vigilante would target her either, so that makes the possibility of two scum factions all the more likely. I remember Ruslana and Patrick bringing up this possibility already on the first days. The strongest clue are agent Sky's passing words (he died in the confirmation and discussion thread before sunrise on day 1). I'm a little worried about Ivan's words. I have no idea what might have changed by the Full Moon Festival. I'm afraid it might not be as simple as switched MOs. In what Petr quoted he claimed to have 'information'. Although that was on day 1 and Eugene could not have had a lot of information yet, could that be a reason for the scum to kill him? So far none of the kills really make sense for a vigilante. Maybe the vigilante did not go out at night yet. Or maybe the vigilante has a limited number of kills and decided not to use them yet. The votes were flying fast right after the mid-day mark, not so much towards the end of the day. The bandwagon simply didn't roll fast enough and it's not that obvious the scum could easily vote someone off, especially if we're dealing with two scum families here, who maybe start out small and have to recruit their way to taking over this town. It was never exactly close enough. If, say, half of the scum got the bandwagon rolling, I don't think they had enough votes to seal the deal in the end. If we are dealing with two (smaller) scum families here, they wouldn't be able to coordinate their voting and individually they probably would not have a large enough number of votes to use anyway. And I really doubt they would desperately try to vote off a townie every day. So far, we're only losing townies and the scum haven't exactly had anything to worry about. Concealing themselves at this point is likely a better option for them then desperately trying to vote a townie off every day. Huh? How did you arrive at that conclusion?
  19. Slap Kick some megablocks Phred!
  20. They are clearly spoilt Hinck. Classic.
  21. I still think it's far more likely that Samuel simply can't vote and was not made aware of his inability to vote. But I agree, it's a concrete thought and certainly a possibility. I'm afraid we wasted the day and again are solely talking about townies as suspects again. I still think we should reach a conviction for the same reason as yesterday: to avoid the penalty if possible. Considering time is ticking away quickly and the current number of votes for both, I doubt it is going to be Barbara though. Therefore: Vote: Petr (Zepher) I should be around to turn this around if necessary, but at the current rate, I doubt we will reach a conviction today.
  22. Well, the sun in setting and we clearly are letting this day go to waste largely because of Petr's crazy plan. If Petr really is town, he has certainly done the scum a huge favour. If nothing else comes up, I guess we have to decide between Petr and Barbara, but the most interesting accusation seems to have been largely ignored, namely Yuri apparently knowing about Ruxana's 'nasty' night action (Petr's words). Neither Yuri nor Ruxana herself seems to want to say something about it so far. Whereas 'nasty' sounds scummy, I simply cannot imagine someone knowing about a scum's night actions so early in the game, unless of course it was through investigation on night 1. But I don't know at what time this news came to Petr: yesterday or today? So it might as well refer to a town night action (I'm sure the scum are paying full attention to what we're saying, so I don't think I'm 'informing' them about it now, blabbermouth Petr took care of that).
  23. An anonymous informant... for now.
  24. Didn't you see all that construction going on on your way to the Hall? I hear it's coming soon...
  25. I have the same reservations as Falicia. I do not see how Petr's weird move of contacting random people would help us, especially on day 1. And I don't see why a townie would paint such a huge target on his back if, even if he would be killed, it would not provide us any conclusive evidence at all. As already concluded, I don't think we say it would have to be one of the people contacted that would have killed him. On the other hand, I also don't see scum making such a weird move. If I would have been amongst the people contacted and had investigative abilities, I would have known who to target last night. Unless of course Petr would show up as a townie in investigations but actually isn't...
