Poor Baxter. What a heart-wrenching end. Only one person died last night, though. And it was the same MO as the killer of Wallace. That's rather strange. This means either there was again no scum kill, or that the scum for some reason killed one of their own on night one. That seems rather unlikely to me. Judging by the return of the Janitor ( ), I wouldn't be surprised if the scum have a poisoner like they did in Spring Haven, so I guess we can't assume there wasn't a scum kill. *snap* Just in case.

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job

'Greetings, Gurnam and well met.' Rufindel raises a speculative eyebrow: an expressive gesture on an elf. 'Hmm, the opportunity to borrow money suggests an opportunity to spend it might well be forthcoming,' he says under his breath. Aloud, he addressed the big fish. 'I concur. I too would like to borrow 100 gold, if you would be so kind, good man. Fish.' -
*snap* Gilda! Mr Fwog is my fwiend. I've got better things to nibble on. Bring that tasty rear over here, love! *chomp*

*snap* So. We have to solve a riddle, a maths puzzle, guess the correct vials, and still only have a chance of winning the night action? *drinks more Butthead* *talks to frog* Hello, Mr. Frog. Remember me? We had some good times back in Spring Haven, you and I.
-
*snap* I could do with a Butthead, please, dear Gibson. *yawns expansively* Looks like I've got some competition on the yawning front from Heidi. Now, where's Gilda? Ah, there you are, pickle. Nice instrument! Wanna play with mine instead? *chomp*

'Fucksticks.' Even elves swear sometimes. 'Anyone have anything to resurrect Skrall?' If not, I'll try to heal Boomingham from the back row.' Glares at his staff. -

'Ok, Ellaria. I'll heal Atramor. From the back row. And preferably late in the battle order, Boomy.' -

'Well things seem to be going better for - ooof!' Rufindel reels as the flail smacks into his body. Looking up, he thanks the gods for the healing spell, and, looking down, curses his own luck. 'Atramor, I can heal you, or myself if Ellaria wishes to nurture you.' Sorry. And Happy Birthday! -

I hope it comes with spellcheck. -
So what was the first 'Albatross' tale all about, Maurice? Or was it just a long-winded way to introduce the 'play dead' expression, in order to make suspense? *snap* I'm a little suspicious of Maurice, not because of that, but just some of the things he's said seem a little odd. But that's just a 'gut' feeling. I'm going to vote: Carly Cow (Tamamono), because I believe she lied about not following the day yesterday, yet still claiming to have a solid 'town' read on Petey, even though she said later yesterday that Petey 'wasn't particularly pro-town'. I suspect she's a Cultist, and knew Petey was town. Plus she did try to steer Portia away from voting for the quiet ones, of whom Wallace was one. It's not a solid lead, but I think it's the best we have at present. *chomp* Sorry Gilda - I can't help but nibble you.
-
Not a single vote had been cast at that point. You weren't paying attention to the day, but you had a solid read from the statements Petey had made to be absolutely sure she was a villager? You're lying. *snap* You pointed out someone, but it wasn't clear from all your Mad Cow confusion whom you were talking about. No! He was defending himself for no good reason. It needed to be followed up. I would have thought a townie would handle themselves better - they wouldn't need to defend themselves so early on. I cannot understand what made Petey's comments convince you 100% that he was town, yet Casey's convince you 100% the other way. *snap-snap!*

'I can use a potion that will regenerate 10 health, or I can try a heal spell again, that will regenerate more, plus there's always a chance of a Shield, gods willing. I don't mind, but I'll give Larry the final say.' -
I had noticed that Carly was very quick in dismissing the lynch against Petey, before a single vote had been cast. And we did say that we would look at people who seemed to know Petey was town. She did point out that there were other lurkers besides Bristol, though didn't make it clear of whom she was talking until Portia had already voted for Wallace. It does strike me as rather culty behaviour. *snappety-snap!* What exactly did Petey say that convinced you he wasn't a cultist? I thought what he said made him look rather scummy, personally. *snap*

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Rufus replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
Rufindel looked puzzled as his last healing spell failed, but brightened when he saw Ellaria's successful nuture. 'Let's home it works this time,' he says as he prepares to heal Skrall from the back row. -
*snap!* That's the sound of my jaws closing. Anyhoo, I'm disappointed (and a little surprised) that Petey wasn't Culty, but hoorah for whoever caught Wallace, however unorthodox the method. Bristol seems an odd choice for a Culty kill. More like a vigilante or serial killer target. But then the Cultists wouldn't kill their own. This implies there wasn't a scum kill, and one of the usual target protected/scum killer blocked/conversion situations. If Wallace were the scum killer, I'd have thought he would have killed before taking the fishy bait, if Winter Haven follows the usual rules of these types of affair. Something to think about. *snap*

'Very well. Surely at least one of Ellaria and I can get a good heal on Boomingham.' Rufindel once again concentrates on healing Boomingham from the back row. -
Thank you all for the feedback! Now there's an idea! Thanks Pep! You might be right about the dots. As for the synchronisation gear, I'm pretty sure I mentioned it in either the earlier Camel or the Baron review; I should perhaps have included it here. If I'd known that Action peeps were arguing about the gorgeous little PQ plane's guns, I'd have set them straight! 3451's wings are fragile during building; they're not so bad when the set it complete, but they feel very flimsy compared to 10226's. I found the undercarriage a little fiddly to build; Jamie Berard said (IIRC) that TLG had received a number of complaints about the undercarriage. But yes, the stickers were the main issue. I'd stand up and recite the National Anthem, but your signature's done it for me. Thanks Rick! Judging from some of the replies here, I'd guess they have. It'll be interesting to see if later versions of the set contain an addendum to the instructions. I guess. But the fuselage uses 3 1x1 bricks on each side for the rearward white stripe. Often LEGO sets seem to favour a smaller variety of parts over a smaller overall quantity. I thought about that, but I wanted to find a solution that didn't require extra pieces.

Mr Frog! Well, Winter Haven's statue is certainly better than the Tree Stump in Spring Haven. It even talks!

Happy Birthday def! Sorry I missed it. Hope you had a great day!

'Urrrrrgghhh' The room spins around Rufindel. -
I love vehicles at this scale. I particularly like the multi-seaters, and the Pick-up Truck is gorgeous! Especially with the chassis slope. And that truck cab... The blue cabrio - from the front at least - reminds me of a Lotus Esprit (like Roger Moore uses in The Spy Who Loved Me and another film ... For Your Eyes Only??)

I'm a total stranger in this forum. The closest I've ever come to a LEGO action figure is a Bionicle piece I found on the floor of the local supermarket. Having said that, I kinda like this figure. He's recognisable as Iron Man, and the poses you've put him in look great, especially the signature pose in the title pic (which is lovely, by the way ). I can see the appeal. Thanks also for taking the trouble to do a great review of a set that isn't your usual field.
